Chapter 412 - 92nd Generation Of Totsuki...

[POV Reo]

Another month passed in a blink of an eye and once again I found myself lazing inside Knox on my own. The house was completely empty and I was bored as hell…

Yes, I could work on the Kido Spells but I needed a break… I am not good at making things… I am good at destroying things. So working for too long on something constructive irritates me.

Rumi, Dora, and Nemuri have left since early in the morning… while the others left only an hour ago. Totsuki was starting today, so they had to go… Now, why did I decide not to attend Totsuki?

Yeah… I would have snapped and killed someone… Honestly, I don't have the patience to go through most of the crap that goes on inside Totsuki. I released a long sigh and decided to pay a visit to Rumi.

She has been working hard in this world… Rumi always worked hard but this time it was something different… She was sitting behind a desk managing business and I was impressed with how she was learning things.

With that thought, I appeared in the chair on the opposite side of Rumi's desk. "This is a surprise" Rumi pointed out but her eyes were still stuck on the laptop screen in front of her.

"Ah… yes, I thought that I should pay you a visit since you didn't seem to be busy" I said with a grin and Rumi released a sigh and finally lifted her eyes from the computer screen.

"I don't know how you reached that conclusion but regardless of that… I am busy" Rumi bit out with a grumpy look on her face… I had a very good idea about why she was being grumpy in the morning.

"Ah… don't be like that… are you perhaps unhappy that you aren't getting enough time to train?" I asked in an amused tone and rapped my fingers on the edge of the table.

For a few seconds, Rumi kept giving me blank stares until her shoulders sagged as she leaned back in her chair. "You have no idea… you know, when I have accepted Nemuri's proposal I have no idea that I would end up like this" Rumi muttered in a defeated tone.

"Blasphemy!!" I gasped in complete surprise. "The mighty warrior Rumi Usagiyama, ultimately defeated by paperwork??" I continued and Rumi simply rolled her eyes.

"...Yes… this mighty warrior was taken down a peg or two by the paperwork" Rumi grumbled with an annoyed look on her face.

"Though… I might have a solution for it…" I said in an unsure tone but Rumi was already interested. "...We could go on a date, you will get a break too…" I said and Rumi seemed to contemplate my words.

"Fine… it better be a good date" Rumi slightly growled and I grinned… oh… don't worry, this will be one of your most memorable dates. I stood up and closed the lid of her laptop and extended my hand towards her… Rumi grabbed my hand with a smile on her face.

The next second the two of us were standing outside a stadium. People could be seen heading inside the stadium but none of them noticed us. "Did you bring me to watch baseball?" Rumi asked and raised her eyebrow towards me.

"I didn't know that you hated baseball…" I pointed out and Rumi shook her head with a grin.

"Well… it's not like I hate baseball but at the same time I don't like it…" Rumi said and the grin simply widened.

"Then it is a good thing that I didn't bring you to watch baseball…" I said and the two of us appeared over the VIP Box… "I brought you to see football (rugby)" I said and Rumi nodded her head with a satisfied look on her face.

It was an obvious fact that Rumi would like a brutal game like Rugby… so I took a leap of faith and brought her here. Rumi has never mentioned if she liked some sport or not…

Using my Space Powers, I got ourselves some beer and snacks. Only after a few minutes, the game started… Rumi had a lot of fun… she started to shout and cheer whenever someone was taken down brutally.

Yeah… that is what she was enjoying in the game. I think I should take her to watch Ice Hockey sometime… that game is also brutal. "So are you having fun?" I asked Rumi, after hearing my question she became pensive.

"It is good but I would have liked if there was more action" Rumi said while nodding her head.

"Oh ok…" I said and laid down my head in her lap. Rumi raised her eyebrow towards me but the corners of her lips rose upwards. She started to run her fingers through my head while she continued watching the game.

The game finally ended and even though I wanted to continue the date, Rumi had to go back to finish her paperwork. "You know I need to finish that blasted paperwork or I won't be able to train" Rumi asked.

"But I could freeze the time you know… our date could continue" I said trying to entice Rumi and she simply chuckled.

"No… no need to do that. Now, I am finally motivated enough to finish the paperwork… if you pamper me anymore then I will again lose my motivation" Rumi said with a smile on her face and smashed her lips over mine…

After a quick make-out session, Rumi bid me farewell and Flash Stepped into her office. I released a sigh and noticed that the people in the stadium were also leaving… with that thought in my mind, I appeared inside the forest of Soul Society…

I stretched my body and laid down on the grass. This was my usual stop where I came to relax from time to time… This place was pretty relaxing. With a wave of my hand, my notes on the Kido Spells appeared in my hands. No one ever said that someone can't work while relaxing…

Just like that a couple of hours passed away and all of a sudden I paused as I furrowed my brows as a frown appeared on my face… I wasn't expecting something like this… should I stay or leave??

[POV Jean]

"Come on… I don't think it's going to be that bad" I said and rolled my eyes.

"It is for you to say… you have training experience while I only know how to slit people's throats while they sleep" Nat grumbled with an annoyed look on her face.

After arriving at Totsuki we were told that we have to give a short speech after the Director introduces us to the whole student body… and that is why we were currently busy preparing the speech.

"Yeah, Nat… don't worry… I will prepare a speech for you… you don't need to say much" Momo said dismissively and started to prepare a short speech for Nat as she was done with her own speech.

"It's starting" All of a sudden Ororo spoke bringing us out of our trance. We were currently in the backstage but we clearly saw the Director of Totsuki heading towards the stage… how the hell did that old guy retain so much muscle mass?? Much be because of Food Energy…

"Firstly, I want to congratulate all of you for making it into the High-school section of Totsuki. You are the 92nd generation of Totsuki and as the Director of Totsuki, let me welcome all of you… but" The Director started to speak but all of a sudden he paused.

The Director looked around the whole crowd in a dramatic manner and clenched his fist. "But that will be all for the pleasantries" the Director said and raised up his hand pointed towards the crowed…

"99% of you are the sacrificial stepping stones so that we could polish the remaining 1% gems from among you" the Director said in a serious tone and we could also feel the dark atmosphere that just descended on the student body.

"But that doesn't mean that you should give up… giving your best won't do, so go beyond that and keep surpassing yourself until you find yourself among the 1% gems I just talked about… I wish you all the best" The Director finished in a deep tone and a small smile graced his face when he noticed that he got his desired effect from the speech.

"Now… let me introduce you to the seven extraordinary students who were able to pass the entrance exams and join the High-school section of Totsuki" The Director exclaimed excitedly.

"That's our cue" I said and all of us started to head towards the stage. The red-haired boy was also here but he was standing on the other side of the backstage.

The seven of us finally arrived on the stage and I could see that some of the students were watching us with complicated looks on their faces, while some of them looked completely aloof like we weren't even worthy of their time… I sighed internally… why are they so arrogant??

"So, um…" I was brought out of my musings when the red-haired boy named Soma Yukihira tapped the mic. I was already having a bad feeling about this.

"I'm Soma Yukihira. Truth be told, I didn't expect to be admitted in this academy, but I don't plan on losing to some bunch that has never stood in front of clients. There are some challenges I am excited about" Soma Yukihira said and glanced towards our group and I groaned internally.

"Ultimately, I'll use all of you as stepping stones. Now that I'm here, I'll take the top" and with that Soma Yukihira finished the speech and clearly, no one was happy with his speech… the whole student body started to clamor and throw things at the stage and we were quickly led to the backstage.

"Looks like you won't be needing to give a speech" I pointed out while looking at Nat had a satisfied grin on her face.

"That's good" Nat said with a grin but Momo scowled.

"You know that everyone is going to hate us too, right?" Momo asked and Luna bobbed her head up and down.

"But everything they try will be useless…" that was all she said but that was enough… I clenched my fists tightly… I can't wait for our classes to start…
