Chapter 513 – DXD Asgard (II)…

[Royal Palace, DXD Asgard]

"So, you must be Hela" Odin stated as he slowly stood up from his throne. He was trying to look imposing, but neither Hela nor Grayfia were impressed. Grayfia had been following around Hela for months, so someone at Odin's level could never impress her.

"Yes, but I am sure that you already know about me… After all, you have been mingling with the Fallen Angels" Hela smirked and Odin simply couldn't hide his discomfort at the revelation. From the looks of it, a couple of Gods and Goddesses weren't privy to this information.

Especially, Loki didn't seem to be pleased at all. He glared at the old man, but for now, he decided to hold back his tongue. "Ah… Well, I simply wanted to form an alliance between our Factions" Odin answered, trying to act completely normal.

"Oh… I don't doubt that, but you should have contacted me if you wanted to discuss an alliance. After all, I am the current leader of Fallen Angels" Hela argued back and Odin nodded his head after a few moments of silence.

"At that time, I didn't know that the Fallen Angels were under different management. That is why I approached Azazel" Odin said with a small smile as he stroked his beard. He knew that he was playing a very dangerous game, but he needed to take his chances and dissolve the situation.

"Hmm… I see. Well, now that I am here we can freely discuss an alliance between our Factions, you wouldn't mind that would you?" Hela viciously grinned and once again, Odin found himself at a disadvantage.

Yes, it was true that he was planning to form an alliance between the Fallen Angels and Asgard, but that wasn't the complete truth. He knew that the Fallen Angels and the Devils were under new management, but he decided to approach the Fallen Angels since he was already sort of friends with Azazel.

Additionally, he only approached the Fallen Angels after Hela had left. In truth, Odin wanted to gather all the information related to The Destroyer and his group from the Fallen Angels. The proposal of an alliance was simply a veil covering the actual truth.

Now… Odin was stuck in between a rock and a hard place. He simply couldn't agree to an alliance especially when he was dealing with this insane murdering maniac standing right in front of him and at the same time, he simply couldn't say refuse.

Azazel had warned him multiple times that you can't simply say 'No' to Hela if you want to continue living. Now, he finally understood what Azazel meant by those words. Odin was one of the oldest Gods in existence and even though Hela's bloodlust was completely suppressed, Odin could feel it.

So, Odin did the only thing he could do right now. Odin forced himself to smile cheerfully. "Of course, I would love to discuss an alliance between Asgard and your Factions. Shall we move to a more comfortable place?" Odin suggested and Hela nodded her head with a grin.

"Of course, lead the way" Hela smirked and Odin started to lead Hela and Grayfia out of the throne room followed by his sons and a few Valkyries. Even though Grayfia seemed to be completely stoic, she was curiously looking around. This was the first time she has come to Asgard.

The whole group finally arrived in a hanging garden-like area. The Valkyries accompanying them decided to stand guard near the door. There was a fairly large table set up in between the garden. Odin politely gestured Hela and Grayfia towards the table. At first, Grayfia didn't want to sit beside Hela, but one pointed look from Hela made her think otherwise.

"This is my eldest son, Thor and this is my younger son, Loki" Odin politely introduced his sons while stroking his beard.

"I have heard about them… By the way, this is Grayfia Lucifuge, my maid" Hela introduced Grayfia and the silver-haired maid bowed her head respectfully.

"I know her… She is quite a celebrity in the Underworld. After all, she holds the title of the strongest Queen and this isn't the first time I am meeting her, but I think this is her first time in Asgard" Odin rattled off with a grin on his face.

"Former Queen… she is no longer a Queen. She gave up the position when she became my maid" Hela pointed out and this seemed to surprise both Odin and Thor, but Loki continued to sneer and scowl. Hela decided that if the meeting turned out uneventful, then Loki was going to be the first one to die.

She could easily kill the three men sitting at the opposite side of the table and be done with it, but then managing the remaining Asgardians would be really hard. Even revealing her own heritage wasn't going to help her. That is why she always refrained from killing any of the leaders, or she would have liked to get rid of Sirzechs Lucifer. That guy was pathetically annoying.

"That is news to me" Odin admitted with a small nod of his head.

"So, what do you have in mind for our alliance?" Hela asked as she leaned back in her seat. Before Odin could answer, several maids arrived with trays in their hands. The maids quickly placed the trays on the table and left the hanging garden.

"How about we start with a business alliance?" Odin suggested. Obviously, Hela wanted more, but it might turn out to be counterproductive.

She was already ruling three Factions, but her grip over those said Factions was barely holding. She has only left for three weeks and some were already trying to raise opposition to her ascension. She needed to remove all the unstable elements within her Factions. Only after that, she would try to subjugate another Faction.

"What sort of business alliance are you proposing? I don't like to talk in circles" Hela said in a neutral tone, but her expressions were anything but neutral. Her eyes were looking really menacing.

"…Import and export. I don't think you know, but Asgard is quite dependent on the Human World and some other Factions. We could become self-sufficient, but it is easier for us to export a few things rather than growing them here" Odin finally revealed after a few moments of silence.

"For example fruits or some specific types of grains. So, I wanted to form an alliance with the Fallen Angels since they have access to what we want. We could negotiate a price profitable for both of our Factions" Odin finally finished his explanation and Hela kept looking at the three men sitting in front of her with a blank look on her face.

To be honest, Grayfia didn't have any idea that Asgard imported stuff from the Human World. She never paid any attention to Asgard's import and export policies… it never held any sort of importance to her. But she felt like she failed as a maid since she couldn't help Lady Hela by giving her input regarding the matter.

Then all of a sudden, Hela burst out laughing. Grayfia didn't know why Hela was laughing, so she simply kept looking towards Hela worriedly. Odin, Thor, and Loki kept staring at each other, but none of them said anything. Hela finally stopped laughing and leaned on the table.

"Tell me, Odin. Did you just think of that whole thing right now or were you planning to feed this same bullshit to Azazel?" Hela asked in an amused tone and for a moment, Odin flinched, but he quickly gathered his bearings.

"I don't know what you are talking ab…" Odin tried to dismiss it, but Hela cut him off before he could finish his words.

"Don't fuck with me" Hela growled. "Do you take me for a fool? Did you really think that I won't catch your lies?" Hela spat out in a menacing tone and her eyes started to glow eerily. It has been some time since somebody had tried to fool her in such a manner.

It was her Father who had tricked her in such a manner and once again another Odin was trying to lie his way out and trick. Obviously, Hela wasn't impressed. Thor immediately shot up on his feet and lightning started to crackle around his body.

"I don't know how strong you are, lady, but if you think that you can threaten my father inside our own home then think again!!" Thor declared angrily and his renowned hammer appeared in his hand.

"Sit down, weakling!" Hela growled menacingly and released her full power and her full bloodlust at the same time, making Thor weak around his knees. The Valkyries standing guard near the door simply passed out due to the pressure, while Odin and Loki stared at Hela with horrified looks on their faces.

Thor's eyes rolled up towards the back of his head and he also passed out. Then, he slumped into the chair while frothing from his mouth. "Now that we have confirmed that you are a bunch of weaklings, should we start talking about the alliance you have been spouting about?" Hela questioned as she rapped her fingers on the table…
