Chapter 140: Two People Cause Ambiguity
Mo Bei, who had dared to leave an injury on Feng Nai’s face during their first group fight, considered such a sense of distance insignificant.
She bent slightly and turned over, ready to place the white towel that had been soaked in warm water earlier on Feng Nai’s forehead.
Upon sensing that someone was about to do something, Feng Nai opened both eyes and directly used his arm to block Mo Bei’s. “Take this away.”
Usually, when he was behaving like this, anyone would have backed off long ago.
After all, when Almighty K was annoyed, no one dared to provoke him.
However, Mo Bei did not speak. Her arm pressed down and placed the wet towel where it ought to be placed.
Feng Nai’s eyes, which had been about to narrow, relaxed when he felt the comfort that the wet towel brought.
He watched the person before his eyes, who was still emotionless.
This rascal was really not the least bit afraid of him.
In his nostrils was the familiar scent of his hair shampoo, probably because of the wet towel.
Had this fellow dumped his own towel on his face?
Never mind, this scent made him sleepy anyway.
Despite his sick state, Feng Nai’s face was still drop-dead gorgeous. Meanwhile, his expression was absent-minded, as if he was too lazy to mind anyone.
Mo Bei walked over with the thermometer, but Feng Nai ignored her.
“The National Preliminaries are in three days.” This was all Mo Bei said.
Feng Nai did not even stretch out his hand. He leaned forward and held the thermometer in his mouth, even though there was still some resistance in his expression. He was more concerned about who would come to take Trouble Lin’s Little Brother away.
Mo Bei had not expected him to do that, so she did not retract her fingers in time and felt soft skin brush past them.
Her body paused for a moment.
Feng Nai, who was holding the thermometer between his lips, did not realize what his lips had just touched. He could not continue sleeping, so he picked up his phone and checked his WeChat messages.
This was the only communication channel where the assistant hadn’t been blacklisted.
“Almighty K… Young Master, are you running a fever?”
“You must take medicine if you have a fever.”
“Mo Nan said he’d take care of you. Is he there now?”
“Almighty K, Almighty K?”
Four messages in a row.
Feng Nai’s gaze stopped at the third message for half a second before his slender, fair fingers moved. ‘Yes.’
After sending one word, he stopped replying.
The assistant was confused. Was Almighty saying that he was there or that Mo Nan was there?
Feng Nai’s current manner was very rare. When he stopped being sharp-tongued, even his expressions were much more straightforward, so much so that when Mo Bei brought the pill box over, he spat out the thermometer and said in a hoarse voice, “No need to look. I have no fever, so I don’t need to take medicine. If you don’t want to leave, keep your volume down and let me sleep. If you leave, close the door after you.”
Mo Bei did not listen to him. She took the thermometer from his hands and her dark eyes took a glance with a cold, handsome expression. “38.8°C. That’s a high fever. Is Captain going to have the medicine now, or should I call Mrs. Feng and get her to come and take you to the hospital?”
Feng Nai suddenly smiled upon hearing that.
There wasn’t any warmth in his smile.
Instead, it looked very wicked.
Even his eyes were cold.
“When did you get my family’s contact number?”
Mo Bei’s voice was still quiet and cool. “Mrs. Feng sent me a message after asking me to take care of you at school. Little Lin probably gave her my number.”
“I can’t swallow it.” Feng Nai pulled back his aura instead and glanced over before complaining very innocently. “Why do things like tablets still exist on earth?”
