Chapter 250: Untitled
After opening the door, Mo Bei closed the umbrella and hung it outside the door. When she looked at the white cat, she paused for a moment.
Feng Nai said languidly, “It’s not a stray cat. It’s probably a domesticated one. Otherwise, it wouldn’t have been so clean.”
Mo Bei made an “mm” sound and did not say anything else. Instead, she opened the door to the bathroom and reappeared with a towel.
Feng Nai bent slightly, lifted the cat and took it to the table, ready to dry it.
Mo Bei held his wrist down. “Dry yourself first.”
Feng Nai glanced over casually. “Did you hear something from Trouble Lin? For example, did he say that I can catch a cold very easily?”
“I don’t need to hear it from anyone.” There wasn’t much emotion in Mo Bei’s eyes. “It’s a fact.”
Feng Nai’s fingers faltered for a moment before he smiled again as though he didn’t mind.
Mo Bei directly pressed the towel against his head.
Feng Nai’s eyes shook obviously for a while. What did Trouble Lin’s Little Brother mean?
By contrast, there wasn’t a hint of emotion on Mo Bei’s face. Her profile was still very aloof. “I’ll go prep the ingredients.”
Feng Nai lifted his brows but did not speak. While pressing down on the towel on his head, he dried his black locks with a hand. However, his eyes landed on the kitchen area.
“Meow.” The white cat nested in his arm and purred.
Feng Nai looked down. He was about to press the towel on the white cat’s head when he smelled the scent on it.
It was a very familiar hair shampoo scent.
Refreshing with a slight lemony sweetness.
Something used by humans.
It wasn’t too good to give it to animals.
Feng Nai thought and hung the towel back in its original spot. Then, he picked up the hairdryer beside it.
While the white cat, who had a whole face of standing hair, was being blown-dried, it thought, “Is the hairdryer not something used by humans then? Double standards!”
In the kitchen, Mo Bei had already turned on the fire but she did not boil the bone broth.
Instead, she first made a bowl of ginger soup and told Feng Nai to come in and drink it up.
Feng Nai leaned slightly in his spot with absolutely no intention of touching that bowl of ginger soup.
Mo Bei worked with a knife. After chopping up the ginger and garlic, she turned over and said coolly, “There’s honey in it.”
Only then did Feng Nai lift the porcelain bowl with a slight frown. After drinking a mouthful, he found the taste pretty good. Then, he looked at the figure that was turned away. Mo Nan was turning on the fire and setting the pot on the stove. Mm, he was hungry.
Suddenly, Feng Nai’s cell phone rang.
It was the assistant, who had sent a WeChat message. “Young Master, did you manage to get a cab? This rain is too heavy, so the roads are really jammed, I haven’t even driven one kilometer out.”
“I didn’t,” Feng Nai replied with two words.
The assistant was anxious. “Then what should we do? What should we do?”
“I’m at Mo Nan’s.” Feng Nai sent the message. “We’ll see when the rain stops.”
The assistant was left speechless.
Young Master, have you forgotten what you said earlier?
However, the assistant naturally didn’t dare mention it.
He only laughed dryly. “That’s great then. If Mo Nan is there, he can definitely take good care of you, Young Master.”
After all, given the Young Master’s constitution, he got sick too easily.
It was also raining really heavily right now. If he were to wait outside, he would certainly catch a cold again.
Besides, Mo Nan had done really well the last time he had taken care of the Young Master.
This time, it would surely be fine as well.
The assistant heaved a sigh of relief. Then, he seemed to recall something and said hurriedly, “By the way, Young Master, there’s something else. Please take note that you have not posted publicly in a long time. Since you’re at Mo Nan’s, taking a photo and updating shouldn’t be a problem. Let’s update with a status and a photo today. After all, you’ve just played a match. Otherwise, if I don’t complete my tasks for this month…”
