Chapter 2933 The Dissolution Of Their Discipleship
Di Fuyi was not alone in the cabin. There were seven of them there.
Gu Xijiu recognized all of their faces in an instant as they were the rulers of all six different worlds. They had all gathered on the same ship!
At that very moment, all eyes lingered on her in utter shock and disbelief.
Despite the disguise of an ordinary woman that she had donned on herself, Gu Xijiu could not conceal her identity. Her sudden teleportation into the cabin had already revealed her identity.
Quickly, all the rulers stood and bowed to her authority in unison. “Divine Lord!”
Di Fuyi rose to his feet as well and gave her a somewhat reluctant bow. “I did not know that the Divine Lord was going to be present today. Please excuse my lack of proper greeting.”
His politeness had instantly drawn a clear line between them. It no longer made sense for Gu Xijiu to be friendly with him at this point.
She smiled to acknowledge their salutations and then said, “Everyone is here today.” Shortly after, she added, “Shall we have a drink together?”
It would be a farewell to mark her upcoming departure.
With a frown, Di Fuyi politely replied, “It is an honor to be invited by the Divine Lord. However, we do have some urgent matters to attend to. Shall we postpone the invitation to a later time?”
As soon as Di Fuyi turned her down, everyone else started to chime in, euphemistically. Some proposed to hold a banquet for her someday in the future. Some earnest ones even offered her a few tentative dates.
With a smile, Gu Xijiu teleported away without saying anything further.
Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow. How many tomorrows would there be for her? The future was bright ahead of them, but not for her.
Meanwhile, the rulers in the cabin all heaved a sigh. The creator of the universe had been very kind to them and largely did not interfere with the mediocrity of ruling. What they had for her was truly a sense of respect, not intimidation.
The same could not be said for Di Fuyi; they were completely in awe of him. Every order that he had for them would always be fulfilled without hesitation.
As soon as Gu Xijiu left, they were instantly reminded of the wedding that never took place. From the way Di Fuyi nonchalantly spoke to her, he seemed to have completely left the past behind him.
National Master Di was renowned for his vision and bravery, so there was no woman that he could not have. Why should he trouble himself by marrying into the bride’s family? As a man, it must be embarrassing for him to marry into the bride’s family, even though the bride was the creator of the universe.
After the slight detour, they quickly re-engaged in their last discussion, which was unfortunately interrupted by Gu Xijiu.
Nevertheless, National Master Di seemed to be absent-minded the entire time. He kept swirling the teacup in his hand but did not even take a sip.
“National Master? National Master? What do you think?” One of them decided to throw a question at him.
Di Fuyi put down his teacup and asked, “What about it?”
It was then that they realized that he was not even listening to their discussion. Instead of making the situation awkward, they quickly summarized the argument and waited for his instructions.
“Hold on,” Di Fuyi said with a firm voice.
He then rose to his feet and approached his servant to give him a few orders. He watched as the servant left to execute his orders before rejoining the discussion in the carriage. However, he still seemed preoccupied with his thoughts elsewhere. It did not take long for the servant to return and report to him in a secret language. “National Master, for your information, the Divine Lord has left the Underworld and is now heading towards the Human World, with a keen interest in a restaurant in the Tianhe Village.”
Relieved, Di Fuyi waved for him to leave.
He knew that Gu Xijiu fancied the food from the restaurant in the Tianhe Village. Although she no longer needed food to survive, her love for food prevailed.
