“What’s going on here, Father, Mother?” Roanne was stunned to see the living room in a state of chaos, and the sight of her mother, slumped on the ground crying, was even more astonishing.
“Roanne, you’re home! You came home, safe and sound! This is incredible news!” Vivian was overjoyed by this. She leaped up from the ground, sprinted toward her daughter, and pulled her into a gigantic hug, tears of joy streaming down her face.
The rest of the family finally broke out of their stupor at this point. Angus and yuri approached them quickly.
“Are you okay, Roanne?” Angus asked with a worried look. He, yuri, and Vivian quickly checked her all over, concerned that Asmodeus hurt her somehow.
“I’m fine,” she shook her head.
“That’s great!” the three of them felt as though a weight was lifted off their shoulders.
After getting ahold of his excitement, Angus finally calmed down and asked, “What happened, Roanne? Didn’t you get kidnapped by Asmodeus? Did he let you go?”
“No, Father, Asmodeus didn’t let me go. It was Leon who saved me,” she replied, pointing at the man standing behind her.
“Leon saved you? Did he manage to track down Asmodeus? How can this be?” Angus could not believe his ears. Although Leon claimed he would be able to do so, he thought Leon was just being overly confident and did not believe a single word of his!
Angus never dreamed that Leon would be able to track down Asmodeus and even single–handedly rescue
Roanne from him!
One could only imagine his shock at this realization.
However, Angus was not the only one in disbelief; Arthur and the rest of the Thompsons were equally shell- shocked by this.
All of them knew how sly and cunning Asmodeus was–despite sending out their best men to hunt them. down and having help from several other families, Asmodeus still managed to escape from right under their noses!
Not only that, but they already decided to give up on trying to save Roanne, knowing that it was impossible to track them down, but this man named Leon, who materialized out of nowhere, managed to single- handedly accomplish a feat that not even the entire family could do!
This was unbelievable!
None of them would ever believe this was possible if they did not see it with their own two eyes!
“Where’s Asmodeus then? He’s already at the Semi Almighty State, and even if Leon managed to track him down, how did you guys escape?” Angus asked dubiously. Although he was not certain of Leon’s powers, he could easily guess that Leon was no match for Asmodeus at all, considering how young he was!
It was a miracle that Leon managed to sneak Roanne out from right under Asmodeus‘ nose, considering how sly and careful that man was!
Angus could not seem to wrap his head around how Leon managed to pull this off!
Since Leon’s power level was a far cry from Asmodeus‘, Angus did not think Leon managed to rescue Roanne by killing Asmodeus–this was impossible!
He was more inclined to think that Leon outsmarted Asmodeus–there was no other explanation!
However, before he could even finish this thought, Roanne’s answer made his jaw drop.
