"Tsk, I thought your secret weapon would be better than this, Rodney, but it turns out I was wrong!" all of a sudden, Leon stood up with a calm expression as he lightly patted the dust out of his clothes.
Since he allowed the Mirror of Sovereign to take the hit, he did not suffer any substantial injury at all despite having been propelled off the stage from the impact of Rodney's attack.
"What? How? How can this be?" the Southern Boss and Rodney were both so stunned by this that their eyes bulged out of their heads in utter shock.
The rest of the audience, even the Thompsons, were equally as astounded. They all turned to gape at Leon as he stood tall and proud, unable to believe their eyes!
They all thought that Leon suffered an inevitable death from Rodney's attack, and they never once thought that not only would he survive this, but would come out of this without so much as a scratch!
This was unbelievable!
None of them would have believed this to be possible if they did not witness it with their own two eyes!
"No, this, this can't be true!" Rodney was horrified by this. He knew that Leon had a defensive weapon with him, but he always thought that the weapon was only capable of defending against attacks of the Intermediate Emperor State!
The ring he was wearing, on the other hand, was an Almighty Weapon of the Peak Emperor State and would have been capable of killing Leon as easily as ABC!
However, fate decided to play a cruel trick on him!
He could not wrap his head around how Leon managed to take on an attack of the Peak Emperor State with such ease!
"Well, you'd better start believing, Rodney! It's time for me to attack now, so take this!" Leon scoffed. Now that Rodney exposed his true colors and the truth of Roanne's defeat came to light, there was no longer any need to play it safe anymore.
With that, Leon leaped into the air and channeled his Earthly Plunder once more.
A surge of invisible energy gushed out of his finger and barreled straight toward Rodney!
"No—" Rodney's face was etched with horror. Although he possessed an Almighty Weapon with him, weapons like these were usually only capable of unleashing three attacks at a time.
Since he already used up all three attacks while dueling Roanne and Leon just now, he no longer had anything to fight against Leon with!
With that, he immediately lunged to one side, attempting to dodge Leon's attack!
Unfortunately for him, Leon's Earthly Plunder was so possible to the point where he could not dodge it at all, for it followed him like a shadow wherever he went!
However, he was still a member of the Initial Emperor State and was not too far off from Leon at all, and so at the last minute, he still managed to dodge Leon's attack by a few inches to the left, letting the Earthly Plunder catch him on his shoulder instead of his chest!
"Thud!"
With a deafening slam and a whimper of pain, the Earthly Plunder tore the flesh on Rodney's shoulder apart, leaving behind a deep and bloody wound.
His entire body was propelled backward and landed in a crumpled heap a few feet away, and a surge of pain shot through his chest as he bent over, spitting out two mouthfuls of blood. It was clear he
suffered some serious injuries.
