“So what if we don’t have any evidence? Rodney admitted to it! Why would we need evidence?” Arthur said in a sinister tone.
“Of course, you need evidence! Rodney merely fell into Leon’s trap and said the wrong thing! That doesn’t mean anything! Leon is the one who killed Yonas and he only set Rodney up to frame Rodney for his crime! Don’t fall for it!” The Southern Boss said.
He knew that Rodney did not leave any trace behind when he killed Yonas, so he refused to take the blame without putting up a fight since the Thompsons had no proof of anything.
“Why you!” Arthur was furious as he never saw someone so shameless in his life, who would refuse to admit his own e to this extent.
“You mustn’t vent your anger on innocent people! Elder Thompson, Leon is the one who killed Yonas, and there is evidence supporting that! If you are worried about Angus and don’t want to avenge Yonas yourself, I can help you with that! Once I kill Leon and obtain Cynthion Group, I can hand half of the profit I gain to the Thompsons! That’s hardly a bad idea!” The Southern Boss attempted to convince Arthur into backing down with profit.
He knew that Cynthion Group had great potential and the Thompsons would restore their former glory if they obtained part of the share of Cynthion Group, which would only be beneficial to them.
Every man who walked the earth had to prioritize their best interest and the Southern Boss was confident that with enough temptation on the line, Arthur might be convinced to give up so that he could eliminate Leon and take Cynthion Group easily.
