Cynthia was shocked. After that, she looked like she understood something as she let out an angry expression, “What? Did Iris ask you to come here to gloat? Is she trying to show off the fact that I lost
to her?
“No, don’t misunderstand. Iris just feels like she owes you a lot, and she asked me to come apologize to you. She asked me to mend my relationship with you?” Leon said honestly.
The moment he said that, it was as if Cynthia’s mind was blown away by a bomb.
“What did you say? Iris is letting you mend your relationship with me? H–how could that be?!”
Cynthia was shocked. She looked at Leon in disbelief, wondering if she was dreaming!
“It’s absolutely true!” Leon nodded and said.
“But, why? What does she want?”
Cynthia looked incredibly uncertain. Her heart felt like it could not settle down.
“I don’t know what exactly she’s intending to do either, but she asked me to treat you better, and said that she doesn’t want us to become enemies,” Leon explained.
“Could she want-”
Cynthia’s heart skipped a bit as she started to vaguely understand Iris’s intentions.
She knew that Iris would not just give Leon to her, so there were only two possibilities. Either Iris planned on giving her a fair chance to fight for Leon, or Iris silently accepted something else, and wanted Leon and Cynthia’s relationship to be mended. Anything else that happened could be talked about later!
No matter which possibility it was, they were both good things to her!
At the very least, her hopes of being with Leon were rekindled!
“Good, that’s really good!”
Cynthia trembled emotionally. Her eyes were red, and she started to let out tears of jow.
She already loved Leon too much. There was no way she could let go of him. No matter what Iris wanted, nothing else was important as long as Cynthia could be with Leon again!
“Cynthia, I’m sorry. I broke your heart. I need to apologize to you. Can you please forgive me?” Leon apologized honestly.
“I can forgive you, but you need to hug me first so I know I’m not dreaming.”
Cynthia looked up at Leon with her tearful eyes. Her eyes were full of hope.

Leon hesitated for a moment before he clenched his teeth. He reached out and hugged Cynthia tightly.
It was not like Leon was devoid of emotions.
He was with Cynthia for so long, so he definitely felt something for Cynthia. On top of that, he was there on Iris’s request, so it was like something was unlocked in his heart. He was no longer as scared.
“So I’m not dreaming!”
Cynthia smiled when she felt Leon’s warm embrace. She felt incredibly happy.
