Chapter 1456: Dungeon(6)
Aakesh began searching for the keys that matched the reddish-orange tint. He had become an expert in color searching at that moment and only kept the keys with the color intensity he had noticed.
After Aakesh found his third key, a new challenge tried to halt him. When the three keys were held by Aakesh, a force generated out of nowhere, putting an immense weight on Aakesh's shoulders.
When he found the fourth key, the pressure had reached an extent where Aakesh's veins had popped out. During the sixth key, the first rupture happened, and one after another, Aakesh's veins began to explode, unable to handle the pressure.
In less than a moment, Aakesh's body was filled with his blood. Despite that, his eyes remained indifferent, and he walked to find the seventh key. At that time, Aakesh had already covered an area of several hundred thousand miles. The heat in the area was evident as the blood around his body was slowly evaporating.
Aakesh's foot was slowly melting as he walked on lava. He could only find the seventh key quickly to end this, so ignoring the pain and pressure, he began searching for the key.
It took him ten minutes to find the key, and those ten minutes were more or less physical torture for him. If not for his unlimited endurance, Aakesh's body would have given up, turning Aakesh into gas from all the lava.
Boom!
Aakesh's body made a sound as a white glow covered his body. Every injury spread across his body was disappearing at a rapid rate. In no time, Aakesh's body was at its peak, and soon it began to cross even that.
Facing that intense pressure hardened his bones and strengthened his internal organs, gaining him a few strength points.
The two levels Aakesh had lost didn't return, but the reward from finding all seven keys made up for it. When the seven keys merged to form one key, it also exited the dungeon with Aakesh.
The key was a prop of the main dungeon and allowed Aakesh to clear any sub-dungeon with full rewards. Aakesh might need it, so he stored it in his space ring and walked forward.
After walking for several miles, Aakesh stopped in front of a three-way forked street. He trusted his intuition and walked to the one on the left.
The next moment, the road behind him got blocked and covered in darkness. Aakesh walked for several hundred miles when the first ray of daylight appeared in his eyes.
Even though the daylight was visible to Aakesh, it took him a few minutes of walking to finally reach it.
At that moment, Aakesh was standing on one side of the gate, while there was a thriving city on the other side of the gate.
Aakesh's eyes turned cold, and immediately the daylight turned into moonlight, and the thriving city turned into a dead city. Aakesh's body sent him danger signals, making Aakesh excited about what was on the other side.
Since Aakesh had the key prop, he walked to the other side, and the door disappeared.
Roar!
Immediately, a beastly roar rang in his ears. Aakesh turned to his left, and the roaring beast immediately stopped.
Whimper!
The beast then whimpered and escaped, not wanting to stay there for even a moment. Aakesh ignored it and looked around.
As far as he looked, a sight of desolation appeared. It was as if it were once a thrivingly large city, but now it looked nothing more than a graveyard of people and buildings.
Aakesh randomly chose one direction and walked toward it. He had only taken a few steps when he sensed every pore of his body expanding in dread.
Aakesh stopped and looked above, and his eyes widened in surprise.
The moon in the sky had turned into a blood-red eye, and it was directly staring at Aakesh. Aakesh stared back, not fearing any conflict.
His body felt dread, but there was no feeling of death, so he didn't need to worry much about it.
Cry!
The eyes and Aakesh kept staring at each other for a while when Aakesh's attention was taken aback by a beast's cry.
The distance seemed not very far from him, so he decided to check it. After walking a few hundred meters, Aakesh came across the sight of two beasts fighting against each other.
They also caught sight of Aakesh at the same time. As if the two had already planned everything, they stopped fighting and turned toward Aakesh.
Aakesh was ready to battle when the ground began rumbling. In no time, the two beasts that were ready to attack Aakesh turned around and escaped the scene.
Aakesh frowned and looked above. He could see that the eye was slowly reverting to the moon, and once the process was complete, it began to fade, and a sun appeared in the sky.
In only a moment of few seconds, the eerie night had turned into a hot, bright day. When Aakesh looked around, he found the dead city was nowhere to be found, and a lively, thriving place had replaced it.
If he had not been fully confident in his judgment, Aakesh would have believed that he had fallen into an illusion. But that wasn't the case. What Aakesh was seeing in front of him was actually reality.
"Hello, sir, do you need a guide for your travel?"
Aakesh suddenly heard a childish girl's voice. He turned around and looked below to find a girl, aged between seven and eight years, brightly looking at him.
Aakesh didn't immediately answer but stared at the girl. The girl immediately shrank back in fear but immediately smiled when Aakesh agreed for her to be the guide.
What the girl didn't notice was Aakesh's frown. The girl was as alive as him but had no energy in her body. It was impossible in an energy-rich environment like that.
Aakesh wanted to study the girl's body but stopped as his senses warned him against something like that. It was not only the girl in that situation but every being Aakesh saw on the street.
Every single one of them had no energy in their body, and their life energy level was in optimal condition.
