Chapter 465: Waiting
“Why did you ask me to speak? Couldn’t we have just resurrected the boy and left from there?” Lily asked after returning to the store.
Aakesh had revived the boy, so he should’ve been the one to say it, but instead, he told her to speak, and she didn’t even know the reason for it.
“What do you think would happen if a dead boy walks out from his grave after dying?” Aakesh lightly flicked Lily’s head and smilingly asked.
Lily rubbed the spot and responded, “People will think of him as a vessel of some evil being.”
Aakesh nodded. “Since you were the one to exhaust your wish, I told you to speak. You should become their benefactor and be a part of their prayers, not me.”
Turta belonged to the Earthen Troll race, and he had the soul of Sufotal, a Primordial creature. So Aakesh revived Turta using the boy’s soul and modified his appearance in a way Turta would look if he were to be human.
The revival didn’t stop at a similar appearance, but the boy also got the long lifespan of an Earthen Troll. Since Aakesh was reviving Turta, not the boy, he gave every ability an Earthen Troll had in his control to the boy, like an unparalleled control over the element of earth. The boy would slowly awaken it as he aged.
“Now you only have two wishes left,” Aakesh smilingly commented as he pinched Lily’s already tiny cheeks.
“I know. I will not use it wastefully,” Lily hissed toward Aakesh and then responded, as any wish from Aakesh wasn’t a minor deal.

“It has been hours since we’ve been waiting here. How long do you think before your partner would come?” The figure irritatingly asked.
“After sunset,” Lenna responded while her eyes were focused on the portal.
“The sun has almost set, so why didn’t you ask him to prepone his schedule by a few minutes?” The figure suggested as he had gotten bored of waiting here for hours.
If not for his father forcing him to come here, he would’ve never come here. Being from a wealthy dynasty made him have no interest in ruin. He would enjoy his time with ladies rather than waiting here for hours for a man and a ruin.
“No. He will come on his own,” Lenna replied. Her tone became respectful when she talked of Aakesh.
“Why not then enjoy ourselves until then?” The figure asked the question for the umpteenth time from when they had been waiting here.
Lenna ignored the question and completely focused on the portal.
The figure had already gotten used to such a reaction from Lenna, so he also started looking around.
His eyes then suddenly fell on a familiar figure.
“Wait for me,” The figure told Lenna and then disappeared.
Lenna didn’t mind as there was still time left before the sunset.

“What are you doing here?” The figure asked the Elven lady in front of him.
“My father forced me to come here. What are you doing here?” The lady asked.
“Same reason,” The figure answered. He then leaned and whispered something into the lady’s ears, bringing a smile to her face.
“Wait for me,” The lady ordered her friends, who had been silently listening to her talking with the figure.
The next moment, both the lady and the figure disappeared, while the lady’s friends shook their heads and wryly smiled as they recognized the man. The duo had a relationship in the past.
Time flew by.
“Move your hands away from me,” The figure irritatingly ordered the man dragging him in the air by grabbing his shoulder.
Not far from there, a man similarly was dragging the Elven lady while her hair and clothes were in disarray.
“Young master, do you want me to treat you the way master told me to,” The person dragging the figure asked, sending shudders down the figure’s spine.
The man dragging the figure was his bodyguard, who would silently protect the figure until he entered the portal. Similarly, the man pulling the Elven lady had the same duty.
The figure and the Elven lady had decided to blow off some steam, but before they could start, both the bodyguards acted and dragged their young master away.
“What’s Randolf doing here?” The figure suddenly muttered, seeing Randolf with ten other members in his group teleporting in the sky not far from him.
“Leave me,” The figure ordered his bodyguard. His tone was stern. The bodyguard left the figure’s shoulder and returned to his hiding spot.
The figure then took a step forward and appeared next to Randolf.
Randolf and the ten Divine Kings he brought with him activated their guards and got in a posture ready to attack anytime, sensing a presence next to them, but when they recognized the figure, they relaxed.
The figure couldn’t help but turn shocked, seeing the change in his friend Randolf.
“What happened to you?” The figure asked.
“I am the new Emperor,” Randolf responded with his tone filled with helplessness.
Randolf and the figure were close friends due to a great relationship between their fathers.
“Congra-”
The figure wanted to congratulate Randolf, but his words came to a sudden stop as he remembered the situation of the Empire when he had met Randolf’s father around three years ago.
There could only be two situations where Randolf could become the Emperor; one, if the previous Emperor ascended, and second if the last Emperor died.
The last time he conversed with Randolf’s father, he had no interest in ascending for the next ten thousand years, so there could only be one situation, and thinking that, he couldn’t help but feel sad for his friend.
“I am sorry,” The figure attempted to console his friend.
“It’s alright,” Randolf replied. “What are you doing here?” Randolf asked as he had come here to check the large influx of energy, but he didn’t know what his friend was doing here.
“My father sent me here with the granddaughter of Aunty Elasha,” The figure answered and pointed at Lenna.
Lenna sensed the pointing toward her, so she looked in that direction and found familiar faces.
She had only met Randolf once, and that too was hundreds of years ago with her grandmother, so she only smiled in response to the pointing and returned her focus to the portal.
