Chapter 840 Favan’s Thoughts!

Chapter 840: Favan's Thoughts!

"Already!" Favan exclaimed as he saw the grayed virtual portal.

Favan wanted to be Panagea's only customer for a few days so he could get a big jump on his competitors. But his dreams crashed. He knew the day would come, but it came earlier than he wanted.

When Favan learned about Panagea, he was sure that it would become a new battleground and breeder of talents. He only hoped to start big.

At the same time, his heart felt some relief too. He had completed his quest, and now he could finally level up. Even if it was only a day's head start, it was still one.

Rather than dwell on the disappointment, Favan turned around to leave the store since what happened inside the store was beyond his control.

Favan found the store owner relaxing on his chair with closed eyes. He didn't disturb Aakesh but left the store as a plan had begun to form in his head.

Favan wasn't aware of the identity of the second Panagea customer, so he wasn't sure about the wealth. But Favan wasn't an idiot. Someone who could come to the store when the entire seventeenth street was filled with yesterday's stories would never be an ordinary customer. Most probably, the second customer was wealthier than him.

If Favan wanted to continue growing in Panagea, he needed wealth. The loan he had taken from the bank was only enough for around twenty-five days.

Favan already had plans to earn money after those twenty-five days, but after the sudden emergence of the second customer, Favan had no choice but to act before time.

After leaving the store, Favan didn't go in the direction of his store but chose the opposite direction.

After traveling for around two hours on his feet, Favan finally reached his destination. His face looked tired since he had traveled more than a thousand miles continuously.

He currently stood in front of a sky-high building made of concrete. It was in the shape of a pyramid, and the width decreased with the increase in height. Yet the highest point was around a few thousand square meters.

After regaining some energy, Favan proceeded in that direction. When he was only at the gate, he felt an energy barrier obstructing him from going any further.

Favan suddenly took a button out of his chest pocket. The energy barrier suddenly acted as the button left Favan's hands.

The button began to rotate at an unprecedented rate. The barrier around the button began to dissolve at a rapid rate.

The button only stopped when it had made a hole large enough for Favan to enter. The button left the barrier and flew back to him.

Favan put the button back in his chest pocket and entered the barrier. The hole in the barrier precisely matched the size of Favan. If someone else were to attempt to enter, they would get blocked.

The building was one of the famous points of Thorr city, and it was also his heavenly encounter. The button he used to enter was alone enough to sell for hundreds of ordinary Sacred stones, but since it was linked to him through his soul, Favan couldn't sell it.

This building was one of the branches of an organization spread across the planet. Even the King of his Kingdom had to give a face to the head of the branch, despite him only being a peak Divine Lord.

In the past, Favan's parents used to work here as low-level members. His father had once gotten a chance to participate in an attack orchestrated by the organization on a ruin found in a different Kingdom. His father made sufficient merit that day and died in the action.

To compensate for the loss, the organization gave the button to his immediate family member. Favan had a brother, so Favan had to defeat his brother to get it.

The button allowed Favan to enter the building, and his plan depended on it. Without wasting any time, Favan went to the place where his mother's quarters were.

Favan didn't have good relations with his mother since even his mother wanted the button, but since the organization only allowed one of the two sons to have it, the mother favored her younger son to have it. It was easy to manipulate him, while Favan had been a rebel right from his childhood.

The mother's rank wasn't higher, so without the button, she wasn't able to leave the building. If her younger son had gotten it, she would have linked the button with her soul rather than his, while the outside world would think that the younger son had it. There were many benefits associated with the button for the members of the organization.

Since Favan was neither talented enough to join the organization nor did he get his mother's referral to enter, after winning the button, he could only use it as an entry and exit token.

Knock knock knock!

Favan knocked on the doors of the quarter where his mother lived.

Favan seemed to be patient as he waited. After he got no response from the inside, even after several seconds, Favan knocked again.

No response came this time either. Favan thought his mother was currently outside, so he began to wait at the door.

Several minutes passed in silence when a different sound than Favan's breathing finally rang in the area.

Favan turned around and saw his mother approaching. The mother's face instantly turned ugly as she saw Favan standing at her door, while a smile spread across Favan's face.

The mother didn't say anything and unlocked the door. The smile never disappeared from Favan's face as he followed his mother inside.

"What do you want?" The mother asked coldly.

"I have a proposal for you," Favan stated directly, as he disliked talking to his mother as well. He wanted to leave as early as possible after completing his work.

"What offer?"

"Don't you want this button?" Favan replied as he took out the button and then waved it in front of his mother.

The mother's face turned uglier as past memories flooded her mind as soon as her eyes fell on the button.

This was the result of her love's sacrifice, and now a son, which neither of them wanted, had it.
