Chapter 110: Little Ye Sui (2)
Ye Sui looked around the room but found no sign of the ghost. She realized that she had touched Chen Shen just now, so it might take some time to see it.
Ye Sui and Chen Shu had to sit at the foot of the bed and wait for the ghost to appear; otherwise, they would not sleep well tonight.
Maybe it was because of the ghost’s fear of Yang’s energy or for some other reason, but the previous supernatural incidents did not happen again.
Ye Sui and Chen Shu waited for more than an hour for the ghost to appear.
Having been on a plane for a day, Ye Sui was so sleepy that she couldn’t open her eyes. Chen Shu saw her appearance and suddenly got up.
Ye Sui looked at Chen Shu and said, “What are you going to do?”
Chen Shu walked to the switch and turned it off. “I’m turning off the lights. You can go to sleep.”
With a click, the overhead light went out, leaving only a small lamp beside the bed. The soft light shone gently.
The light where Chen Shu stood was dim. The light fell on him, as if suddenly calming him down.
Ye Sui watched Chen Shu’s behavior without saying a word. She silently opened the quilt and slept on one side of the bed.
Ye Sui’s sleepiness had just disappeared a bit, but when Chen Shu approached her, she became more sober.
She lay upright on the bed, not daring to turn over or move. When Chen Shu lay beside her, her body turned stiff.
Chen Shu turned off the lamp beside the bed, and the whole room was plunged into darkness. The curtains were so thick that even the moonlight was blocked out.
Ye Sui noticed that Chen Shu had moved beside her. She held her breath to feel the movements of the man next to her.
In the next second, Ye Sui’s hand on her side was held by Chen Shu, the warmth reaching to her every fingertip.
Chen Shu gently held her hand and said, “Go to sleep.”
Chen Shu was worried that Ye Sui was still afraid of the ghost just now, so he directly held her hand. No matter what happened, it would not disturb her.
Ye Sui’s heart suddenly calmed down. She smiled in the darkness. “Good night.”
Soon, Chen Shu’s deep voice was heard. “Good night.”
A good night’s dream.
Before the Berlin Film Festival, Ye Sui had to do a lot of preparations.
Dior had lent Ye Sui the latest design of Haute Couture. They were clearly fond of Ye Sui, as no one else in the world had worn this black dress.
Originally, some foreign actresses had wanted to borrow this dress. However, when the designer laid her eyes on Ye Sui, she knew right away that her temperament was the most suitable.
Huarui had planned an international superstar route for Ye Sui. Since it was her first time attending a foreign film festival, she wanted to leave a lasting impression on the media and the audience.
Dior had specially chosen a long black dress for Ye Sui with exquisite embroidery at the hem. It wasn’t complicated but was more noble and graceful.
Chen Shu accompanied Ye Sui to wear her dress.
Ye Sui walked into the dressing room, where Dior staff helped her put on a dress. Chen Shu waited outside.
As she came out of the room, the long black dress swayed with her. She raised her eyes and met Chen Shu’s deep gaze.
Chen Shu sat there, his eyes burning, like a bridegroom waiting for the bride.
The evening dress design was strapless, showing her beautiful collarbone. Under the light, it was exceptionally enticing.
Ye Sui curled her lips and smiled at Chen Shu. She glanced around, and while no one else was paying any attention, she hooked her finger at him, a sly smile in her eyes.
Chen Shu’s Adam’s apple rolled up and down. He just smiled softly and said nothing.
Ye Sui was going to work, so Chen Shu couldn’t go with her. There were too many cameras on the red carpet, not to mention that many reporters would be watching Ye Sui.
The car slowly drove away towards the film festival.
When Ye Sui was changing her dress, a female star happened to arrive in Berlin.
Deng Zhi’s team had arranged for her to meet Ye Sui on the red carpet.
Of course, for a small star-like Deng Zhi, Dior’s top-end dress was impossible to borrow. It was the same with other big brands.
Deng Zhi had no major works and was not invited by any brand. Instead, the invitation letter for the film festival was bought with money.
