Chapter 337 334- A Forsaken Genius
Chapter 337 334- A Forsaken Genius
“NO!!”
A twelve-year-old youth roared out in a mournful voice.
“How can I leave you here? I’ll stay and fight!!”
The youth's eyes were red and he was clenching his fists so hard his nails drew blood.
Just as he finished speaking, the old man he was yelling at turned towards him and roared back.
“I SAID GET OUT OF HERE FANG CHEN!!”
The old man was done trying to convince the boy, he directly waved his hand towards him and sent the boy flying away towards the edge of the forest.
The little boy name Fang Chen slowly crawled up, his body wracked with pain. He barely managed to raise his head to see that the people they were running from had caught up.
These people wore red robes signaling they were from the Demonic Cult. Immediately as Fang Chen saw them his eyes turned red and burning hatred he had never felt before began rising in his heart. It was so overwhelming that he coughed out a mouth full of blood.
These people had chased after him and his Master across the entire Western Continent for days on end. They were relentless in their pursuit, but what was frightening was that no matter how many his Master killed, more would show up as they escape to the Eastern Continent.
Only now did he realize how terrifying the Demonic Cult was, to have secret hideouts everywhere across the continent. No matter how far or how long they run, they would be spotted by a secret base and the chase would continue.
Old man Luo saw Fang Chen cough out blood, his heart became frantic at the thought that he might have injured him with that push.
“Fang Chen hurry and leave!! If you reach that place these bastards wouldn’t dare follow you!”
Fang Chen knew his Master was talking about the Celestial Academy and that senior name Gong Mo. The storage ring around his neck felt heavy, he didn't want to leave his Master alone.
The dozen demonic cultivators lunge towards Old man Luo.
They were all in the late Core Formation Realm, he could barely hold his own because his cultivation was in the Quasi Nascent Soul Realm.
The clash of swords and sabers rang out, and loud explosions occurred.
The fight was bloody and brutal, old man Luo immediately suffered injuries during the first clash. This added more injuries to his already wounded riddle body.
Fang Chen's hatred rose and he barked.
“I’ll kill you! Leave my Master alone!”
Without any fear whatsoever he went to charge towards the battlefield. If it meant dying with his Master then so be it.
But his death would be meaningless as, without cultivation, he would instantly be killed on the spot by a stray attack.
Old man Lou knew how stubborn this disciple of his could be, so he forcefully pushed back all the demonic cultivators and slash his sword towards Fang Chen.
It missed him and hit the ground in front of him. The shockwave of the impact was enough to force him back but not seriously injure him.
However, one of the demonic cultivators saw this opportunity and he immediately attacked.
Old man Luo was already prepared for a sneak attack when he turned to knock Fang Chen away, but what made his blood boil was that the cultivator suddenly turned to attack Fang Chen instead.
“You-!”
Old man Luo was furious. Without a second thought, he jumped between the terrifying saber light and blocked it. But it was at this time a well-timed attack came from another demonic cultivator, his sword stabbed into old man Luo's back.
Fang Chen saw that to save him, his Master had been severely injured as a result.
Fang Chen’s eyes become redder, and if his heart had any doubts to charge towards these people before, now any thoughts of living past today were dashed to the side.
Even if all of his limbs were cut off, he would use his mouth to bite these people to death.
But just as Fang Chen was about to charge forwards once again, old man Luo shouted.
“If you see me as you’re Master, then run! I don’t want an ungrateful disciple like you that would throw his life away!!”
Fang Chen’s steps froze and his body shook uncontrollably. He hesitated on whether to charge out.
If he did, old man Luo would no longer be able to save him again.
These demonic cultivators were already aware that old man Luo was trying to protect him, so they would use that against him.
Seeing Fang Chen's hesitation, old man Luo while still fighting these demonic cultivators, yelled again.
“Run this time! Run, and when you get stronger avenge me. If you die now, how will you achieve my life’s wish like you said you would!!”
This seemed to strike a chord in Fang Chen’s heart, and all the willingness to fight to the death was evaporated.
“UWAAAHHH!!”
Fang Chen fell to his knees and let out a heart wrenching scream. It was filled with so much emotion that old man Luo upon hearing it had his heart shook, and tears started to well up in his eyes.
He knew how painful it was for Fang Chen to decide to just leave him to die like this, but this was the only way. As a Master, how could he allow Fang Chen, his disciple, to die along with him?
“MASTER!!"
Fang Chen suddenly shouted.
“I SWEAR I’ll MAKE EVERYONE IN THE WORLD KNOW YOUR SWORD FORMATION!!
“I SWEAR I’LL USE IT TO MASSACRE THE ENTIRE DEMONIC CULT AND AVENGE YOU!!
“I SWEAR IT!!!”
Fang Chen's face was filled with snot and hot tears as he lifted his head to the sky and scream. By the end of his shouts, Fang Chen's throat was hoarse.
“Good!”
Old man Luo immediately said.
The demonic cultivators hearing Fang Chen’s declaration of destroying the entire Demonic Cult, turn up their lips in mockery and stared at these Master disciple pairs with contempt.
However, as Fang Chen stood up and stared at them silently, something about his red eyes made a foreboding feeling well up in their hearts.
They were shocked, how could mighty cultivators like them, who had killed hundreds and faced numerous life-and-death situations, feel dread from a mere mortal child's gaze?
It was so intense that their first instincts were to immediately attack and kill this boy before he matured.
But how would old man Lou let them?
His cultivation aura suddenly roared to life as he began to burn his life force.
In the face of old man Lou's crazy actions, the demonic cultivators could only watch as Fang Chen turned around and disappear into the forest.
The sense of apprehension grew in these demonic cultivators' hearts. There was no shortage of people on the continent that didn’t have a grudge against their Demonic Cult, and wish to uproot it. But how long has their Demonic Cult existed and will keep existing despite that?
But something was screaming at them not to let that boy mature, or else he would bring disaster to their Demonic Cult. It was absurd but the feeling was just too strong to ignore.
One demonic cultivator even went as far as to pull out his jade slip and wrote a description of the boy before putting him on the Demonic Cult’s wanted list.
Fang Chen was the first mortal to be placed on the Demonic Cult’s wanted list. In the Demonic Cult hideouts across the continent, demonic cultivators saw this person’s name and description alongside the outstanding geniuses on the continent.
A twelve-year-old boy from the mortal world that hadn’t even started cultivation yet? Was he not a mere mortal then?
Why was a mortal child being placed on the wanted list?
How could they not stare at the information with dumbfoundment?
After writing Fang Chen’s name on the wanted list, this inconspicuous demonic cultivator yelled for old man Lou's death. He wanted to quickly go and kill that boy.
He was a leader of one of the many Demonic Cult secret hideouts, which was why he had the authority to place Fang Chen’s name on the wanted list.
Old man Luo snorted, and his aura soared even more as he burned his life force more vigorously.
“Before this old man dies, I’ll show you my true Seven Swords of Slaughter Sword Formation.”
As old man Luo spoke, the demonic cultivators seemed to have fallen into a freezing cold lake.
They instinctively took a step back, and stared at old man Luo in shock and horror.
The killing intent radiating from him was too overwhelming. It was horrifying that someone could have this much killing intent.
Having all of it focused on them caused them to shiver in fear.
This was the Seven Swords of Slaughter. A sword formation created by old man Luo, where it utilized the killing aura of a person to strengthen their sword endlessly.
Old man Luo, despite his low aptitude for cultivation, was in fact a genius of the sword. A terrifying sword genius that went unknown because he wasn’t born into any major clans, and wasn't able to display his sword ability in the academy he joined as a youth due to his poor cultivation aptitude.
If he had been nurtured from a young age by a big Academy, no matter his poor cultivation aptitude, he wouldn’t have been inferior to any continent genius in his generation at that time.
But sadly, all the Academies followed the cultivation world, where they placed a strong importance on cultivation talent. Thus his terrifying aptitude for the sword was never discovered.
He was one of many forsaken geniuses in the cultivation world.
