The Founder of Qi Cultivation, Reincarnates?

Chapter 401 398- I Won’t Let You… (5)

Chapter 401 398- I Won’t Let You… (5)

Looking at the Sword Spirit hovering above Shi Chun, Sea King Modu thought to himself.

'If this Sword Spirit hadn't weakened all of a sudden the blood essence projection for this clone could have been destroyed. The power I accumulated from absorbing the Leviathan Race's bloodline would have directly lost nearly half its power. Forget about reaching the Heavenly Palace Realm, even if I absorb those nutrients that left and that child's pure Leviathan bloodline, I might barely be able to recover to my original strength. And worst of all I might have lost this clone. My original body is still recovering from fighting the previous Sea King, so losing this clone would cut off my connection to the outside world. That's why I gave this clone some of the blood essence power to begin with for protection.'

As Sea King Modu thought about how close his plans were to being foiled by Shi Chun, he could barely contain his anger.

'My clone barely has the cultivation of the Early Soul Transformation because of this bastard. I should just turn him into another clone. But…'

Sea King Modu had this thought, but he didn't dare approached Shi Chun's body. Forget that he had somewhat damaged his dantian so even if he survived this he might not be a good clone, but he was the property of an almighty existence. And that mighty existence was in the process of taking back what was his.

"Bastard, as much as I wanted to watch you die, I have those nutrients to catch."

Sea King Modu said that before he turned to track down the ship. However, he couldn't help but glance at that Sword Spirit for a brief moment. Greed flickered in his eyes.

If he obtained this Sword Spirit he might even be able to one-shot a peak late-stage Soul Transformation Realm cultivator. Adding those nutrients he'd be even more powerful.

However, he immediately threw that idea out the window and hurriedly left. He would be courting death if he tried to refine the Sword Spirit of some unknown entity.

'No! Get back here!'

Shi Chun who hadn't yet died saw Sea King Modu leaving and he cried out in his heart. He had failed to kill his clone at the last moment.

'Because of this Sword Spirit, damn it. Someone's will appeared inside it to resist my control. Damn it, damn it, damn it! Who? Just who does this Sword Spirit belong to? Do they have any idea what they just caused?! If that Sea King catches up to the ship… no, I can't let that happen!!'

Shi Chun began to resist the Will that appeared in the Sword Spirit.

'This is my soul, this isn't even another soul trying to possess me but someone's Sword Spirit! How can I just let myself be taken over by someone's Sword Spirit?!'

Shi Chun's struggles began to get stronger and stronger. Inside the Sword Spirit, his soul signature began to fight back against the other Will inside of it.

The Sword Spirit trembled as Shi Chun's soul vehemently resisted. Soon his soul began to regain a bit of control over the Sword Spirit.

Shi Chun sensing this became even more frenzied and began fighting back harder.

However, something strange happened, he began hearing voices.

"P-Patriarch! Something is happening to one of the Sword Spirits! The young master is in trouble!"

Swoosh!

For a moment, Shi Chun's soul and this strange Will in the Sword Spirit overlapped. Images then began to appear in Shi Chun's mind.

He was inside some large hall. There was a young boy that had a towering sword aura surrounding him while he sat inside a formation.

'W-What is this?'

It felt like Shi Chun's consciousness had left his body and entered something else but he couldn't move.

The boy in the formation suddenly coughed out a mouthful of blood.

"F-Father, someone's soul appeared in one of the Sword Spirits!"

*Snort*

"Lun'er, continue to use the formation to suppress it. Who dares interrupt my son's Martial Spirit awakening? You should be grateful you're being used as a cauldron to awaken the Sovereign Sword Martial Spirit of my son. How dare you resist?!"

Shi Chun then felt a mighty force sweep over him.

Outside of the formation, he saw the silhouette of a man. Shi Chun couldn't make out his appearance clearly but the power that swept over him made his very existence shudder.

This man's cultivation surpassed the Soul Transformation Realm, and not just by one Realm.

"So it's this one?"

Shi Chun then felt the sweeping power locked onto him. It was only then he focused on his surroundings a bit more and he realize where he was.

He was among numerous golden Sword Spirits floating in the air.

'Where am I? Where is this place? Are all these Sword Spirits similar to me?'

Shi Chun's mind was plagued with questions, but he had no time to ponder on them as the power of this man seeped into the Sword Spirit his consciousness was in.

In the first Sword Spirit that was absorbing his soul, Shi Chun's soul retreated from the Will inside of it.

The two were longer overlapped and his consciousness quickly disappeared from the second Sword Spirit in the large hall.

Shi Chun didn't know what just happened, but he could tell he had somehow connected to the original owners' Sword Spirit through this one.

"This-"

Shi Chun momentarily forgot about his situation as he was just too shocked. He thought some mighty expert was using him to cultivate, but he was instead being used for a little brat's cultivation? He, a Soul Transformation Realm cultivator was nothing more than one of many that were being used cauldrons for that kid.

Shi Chun almost coughed out blood from anger. Especially when considering it's because of this fucking kid that Sea King Modu was free to chase after Fang Chen and the others.

However, Shi Chun suddenly felt the man's aura from before appear in the Sword Spirit.

'He followed me?'

Shi Chun then felt this man's aura spread to cover the entire Sword Spirit. A snort was heard as the man discovered Shi Chun's resisting soul.

"How dare a mere bug try to eat a swan's meat? Your talent is decent to create such a strong Sword Spirit, but you don't have the qualification to keep it!"

The man then began wiping away Shi Chun's soul signature from the Sword Spirit.

Opening the eyes of his physical body, Shi Chun looked at the Sword Spirit above his head and struggle to say.

"S-Senior, please give me more time. If you give me another hour I promise I won't resist anymore."

"Ha! Are you trying to bargain with me?"

The voice of the man echoed out before his aura left the Sword Spirit and coalesces into a featureless humanoid.

Immediately after the manifestation of this man's aura appeared, the operations of heaven and earth came to a complete standstill.

All the existence that had their attention in this direction because of the sword energy all felt a cold chill go down their spines.

It seemed as if a God above the nine heavens had descended upon the mortal world.

Looking at Shi Chun that had a hole in his abdomen, this featureless incarnation of the man's aura simply waved his hand at him.

Bang!

Shi Chun's head exploded into a gory mess of brain matter.

He was killed just like that.

Shi Chun's final thoughts as the man lifted his hand to kill him were him thinking of a way to tell someone of Sea King Modu's plans.

After watching Shi Chun's headless body fall from the sky, the man turned to the Sword Spirit and waved his hand again. Shi Chun's soul inside was fully wiped away.

"Preposterous, to think someone from this wasteland would dare try and bargain with me. The air here is so putrid and lacking any God Qi, why did someone in this place even have the talent to be chosen by the formation?"

The man sounded annoyed as he went to enter back into the Sword Spirit, but he suddenly froze.

"Huh? If this place lacks God Qi how could there be such stable laws to support my presence here?"

The man sounded like he was intrigued by this matter and quickly a mighty power rolled out from him.

"Hm, above me? What's that?"

The man sensed something above him, like a separate dimension.

Even more intrigued by this, the man unhesitatingly tried to pry this dimension open and see what secrets it holds.

However…

"The God Counsel Empyrean Rule Number 38 states: No First Oder level existence or higher shall exert their Will on a lower Realm. I will overlook the matter of the Sword Spirit, now begone!"

"Huh? W-Why is there a member of the God Counsel in a place like this?!"

The attitude of the man shifted immediately upon hearing these words. However, he didn't get an answer, rather he could sense a pair of eyes within that separate dimension land on him and sweep over his figure.

The man's aura immediately dispersed under those pairs of eyes.

Just like how he had easily killed Shi Chun without any regard, this unknown presence had directly destroyed his projection.

Those eyes swept across the Sword Spirit, but it did nothing as it slashed opened the void and disappeared inside as if being called by something.

The pair of eyes then faded away, as if whatever existence it belonged to was going back to sleep.
