Chapter 221
Chapter 221
By the time Chloe woke up from her slumber, three or four hours had passed.
She opened her eyes with a slight confusion, adjusted her sitting posture, and when fully awake, lazily let out a yawn.
Just then, the door to the room opened.
Chloe felt a stinging sensation in her eyelids but still couldn't see anything clearly.
She immediately realized that she had probably been injected with some kind of drug, otherwise it wouldn't be possible for her to be unable to see.
Chloe wasn't particularly concerned about this, though. She directly channeled her senses to focus on the newcomer, carefully perceiving their appearance.
Tall, wearing a military uniform, with a serious expression. As for the face...
Chloe silently assessed for a moment, and then, as the person approached, she told him very sincerely and earnestly:
"Sir, has anyone ever told you that you're quite ugly?"
The Werewolf Race general: "..."
A vein throbbed at his temple, his lips quivered for a moment, but in the end, he said nothing.
After a long while, the general finally managed to say with restraint:
"You're under someone else's roof now, yet you're still so arrogant. You really aren't afraid of death, are you?"
Chloe tilted her head slightly: "Oh, how did you know?"
She curled her lips with interest:
"You've brought me here, and now I can't even see. It's not hard to guess that you don't have good intentions, right?"
"That being the case, why should I tiptoe around trying to please you?"
At this point, Chloe's smile faded, and she said coldly:
"I could curse your entire lineage, from you all the way back to your great-great-grandfather."
"If I could, I'd also like to punch that ugly face of yours."
The Werewolf Race general: "..."
He couldn't help but feel that she had a point, and that her actions weren't entirely without reason.
Just as he realized this, the Werewolf Race general became aware that he had strayed from the topic. His brows furrowed deeply, and he finally said:
"Let me introduce myself. My name is Rupert, and I'm a general of the Werewolf Race. It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Chloe."
Rupert?
Chloe thought carefully for a moment. She remained silent for about a few minutes, long enough for Rupert to sense trouble brewing.
Just as Rupert was about to interrupt Chloe's train of thought, she suddenly spoke:
"Ah, Rupert. I remember you. A few years ago, you fought against my father. He beat you so badly that your pants fell off, and you ran away with your tail between your legs."
Rupert's face instantly turned red with anger.
He no longer maintained the calm and composed demeanor he had when he first arrived:
"Nonsense! That's just a fabrication by you Vampires!"
It was true that the Werewolf Race had lost that battle, but how could Rupert, the most renowned general of the Werewolf Race, have been beaten so badly that his pants fell off and he fled in such a pathetic state?
Rupert coldly rebuked: "Slander! You Vampires only know how to use these low tricks to tarnish the dignity of other races!"
Hearing this, Chloe shrugged indifferently:
"A defeat is a defeat. History is always written by the victors. You've already lost the war, how can you talk about dignity in front of us Vampires?"
"You!" Rupert raised his hand, pointing futilely at Chloe, his fingertip trembling with anger, "Nothing but nonsense! Not a shred of manners!"
Hearing this, Chloe's expression suddenly turned cold:
"And kidnapping me from my clan's territory is honorable? Uncle, don't be ridiculous."
As her words fell, the room maintained a period of silence.
After who knows how long, Rupert actually let out a laugh:
"Now, that's not right. How could this be kidnapping? It's merely an invitation for the esteemed young lady to be a guest of our Werewolf Race."
"We all welcome you warmly."
Chloe: "..."
"That sounds all high and mighty, but let's cut the small talk. What exactly do you intend to do with me?"
As soon as she finished speaking, Chloe felt a stinging pain in her eyes.
It was as if a weak electric current was stimulating her eyelids, very uncomfortable.
If she had to describe it, it felt like thousands of ants crawling inside her eyelids.
"Damn, that's disgusting," Chloe cursed. "What the hell are you doing?"
Rupert spread his hands: "Didn't I say? We just want you to be our guest."
"Oh, by the way," he paused here, then continued with interest, "I remember there were a few other young friends who came to visit with you, right?"
"They're all such adorable cubs. I wonder if they're getting used to staying here."
Hearing this, Chloe's motion of rubbing her eyes suddenly stopped.
Seeing this, Rupert thought he had found Chloe's weakness and continued to threaten:
"Miss Chloe, you'd better behave yourself. Otherwise, I can't guarantee what kind of trouble your friends might face."
"After all, this is the savage, primitive, and backward territory of the Werewolf Race. Anything could happen, couldn't it?"
Chloe lowered her hand, no longer bothering with her stinging eyelids, and smirked:
"So you're aware of that too."
After saying this, she leaned against the wall, looking sickly, and said:
"Now get lost. You're disturbing my rest."
"There are still some things to be done," Rupert said as he slowly paced towards her.
Chloe's eyes couldn't see, so she didn't know what this extremely ugly officer in front of her was doing.
She could only hear a series of faint sounds, like glass clinking together.
Then, something cold touched Chloe's arm directly.
Rupert's voice was low, with a hint of excitement:
"My dear child, you'll soon experience the most wonderful feeling in this world. It will make you unable to resist."
Chloe: "..."
She didn't speak, just slightly furrowed her brows, thinking about something.
Seeing her current state, Rupert thought Chloe had given up struggling, and couldn't help but smile:
"Don't worry, my dear. I'll try to be gentle..."
Before he could finish, Rupert felt a numbness in his hand.
His eyes widened instantly, and the syringe he had been holding fell to the ground.
Before Rupert could react, Chloe raised her knee and kicked him hard in the abdomen!
Chloe's strength was otherworldly, incredibly powerful.
This kick nearly made Rupert's intestines spill out.
However, she didn't have much of an advantage. Rupert, being a general after all, quickly recovered and swiftly pinned Chloe's arms, forcefully slamming her to the ground!
A muffled thud was heard, accompanied by the distinct sound of breaking bones. Chloe's expression remained unchanged, completely ignoring her own arm. She wrapped one leg around Rupert's hand that was gripping her and then violently chopped down!
Another clear crack of bone breaking rang out.
Chloe didn't give Rupert a chance to retaliate. She immediately channeled her sensory powers, transforming them into countless invisible blades that pierced towards him!
"Squelch!"
The sound of blades entering a human body was rich and satisfying.
Rupert collapsed to the floor.
Chloe stood up, clutching her arm.
Having used her sensory powers to fight, she was now blind.
She could only walk forward guided by a subtle intuition.
When her toes touched something soft, Chloe kicked it away in disgust!
Rupert was flung several meters, right out of the room.
But Chloe couldn't see this.
She turned towards where the surveillance cameras had been and said contemptuously:
"You bunch of stinking rats, hiding behind your monitors and spying. You'd better pray I never find you."
