Volume 3 - 132 The True Bottom

_______________

RIGHT AFTER THE FLIES STUNG THE CEOS

Seeing every imprisoned CEO other than those two CEOs from Korea and Finland stung without any of them even realizing, Virus mumbled, "It’s just that you monkeys are no longer entertaining but still have some thoughts of plotting against me and annoying me later on, so..."

’If you guys had your previous positions, this might’ve been still a little interesting and I would’ve waited to see what you guys are going to do and how you would do it... but now, you have no power whatsoever and whatever you do won’t be a challenge for me other than annoying me, just like a bunch of annoying flies.’ He thought.

When they were imprisoned, Virus wanted to leave them alone as they seemed to have lost all hope and surrendered. However, Virus witnessed that slowly but surely, the hate in their eyes began to accumulate and grow by each day.

And when they finally began to realize that they no longer had nothing else to lose, they began plotting to harm that company in whichever way possible even if it wouldn’t deal much damage to it.

And witnessing them begin to plot and plan, Virus became annoyed rather than being entertained.

Then, as he sat on the highest floor of 4 Times Square, he thought, ’When you see a bunch of harmless flies flying around you and they don’t leave you be, it would annoy you and you should naturally get rid of them.’

IN THE RESTAURANT WITH ELLA

"Of course I remember them... what about them?" Ella asked back in doubt.

"Well, since the past few weeks, they have been dying one after another for some random causes of death..." Jessica voiced with clear shock as if she was finally meeting karma in flesh and blood.

"Huh... what do you mean?" Ella questioned in confusion, not quite understanding what she was saying.

"I mean exactly what I said!" Jessica replied.

Then, she continued, "Some of them died of heart attack, while some had a deadly stroke, or all kinds of cancers found in their bodies... what I wanna say is that they have all died now... except four of them! But one of those four is the missing mastermind behind the ’Ghost Theft’, so we don’t know if he’s alive or not, while the other one is already on the verge of death in the hospital bed because of some kind of deadly cancer at its last stages. Only... two of them are completely healthy and kicking in prison!"

Listening to her non-stopping friend’s description, Ella was stupefied.

Looking at Ella’s dumbfounded face though, Jessica proceeded, "...Right? That was exactly the kind of expression I had when I heard the News... before today, I didn’t believe in karma, fate, or such things, but that changes today!"

"Do you know what’s more shocking?" Jessica asked with amazed eyes.

"Huh? What is it?"

"The last two remaining CEOs who seem to be totally fine after a check-up are those two which had surrendered themselves in the beginning! Can you believe this? It’s like God is punishing those who didn’t regret their actions until the very end... this is like a miracle!" Jessica voiced with her shining eyes.

Ella too, thought it was amazing that these things were happening to those CEOs, but remembering her boyfriend’s illogical capabilities, she couldn’t help but frown a little as she wondered, ’He couldn’t have... right?’

Then, shaking her head, she continued, ’No, he wouldn’t, and he’s not even around at the moment... also... it’s not like the cause of their death is some kind of poisoning or something.’

’The cause of their deaths seem to be completely normal and they aren’t even dying at the same time either...’ But then, forgetting that logic doesn’t make that much of a sense when it comes to her boyfriend, she began to think logically and made sense of the entire situation.

In the meantime, in a hospital bed, a middle-aged man with an oxygen mask on his face was taking his last breathes as he thought, ’Is this God’s way of punishing me? I should’ve never tried plotting against that company... I should’ve lived a better life. I didn’t understand the saying that ’We all die naked in the end and return to dust’, but now that I’m on the verge of death, I understand... however, it’s too late now...’ This was the last thought which went through this particular CEO’s mind as he closed his eyes and sank into eternal darkness.

Right at this moment, inside each of their own prison cells, two specific CEOs were watching the News on the television.

"Breaking news! We just received a new update on Mr. XX, who was the last sick CEO... he was just announced to have passed away by the hospital." A beautiful lady was currently reporting the news of the last dead CEO as both of the CEOs from Korea and Finland listened to it very attentively with a frown in their faces.

’Sigh, what is this? Is it truly God’s judgment? And why is it that it specifically didn’t hit us two who surrendered in the beginning?’ Both of the CEOs from Korea and Finland thought along these lines.

"Could these have been done by that company?" The CEO from Korea couldn’t help but mumble with a momentarily light of suspicion passing through his eyes.

"Hahahaha..." But hearing his mumblings, the other prisoners in his cell began to laugh out loud as one of them finally stopped and said, "Do you think the Virus Industries is God to make every single CEO’s die with entirely natural and normal deaths? Brother, It’s just a horrifying coincidence which would probably happen every ten thousand years, haha..."

Listening to them, the Korean CEO truly thought he was just illogically overthinking things, so he uttered, "Whatever it is, I and the other CEO from Finland are truly lucky to be still alive... now whether its God’s punishment, coincidence, or something else altogether, it doesn’t really matter to me and I have no intention of thinking further about it."

A large number of people were actually shocked by the news of the criminal CEOs dying one after the other, and at first, some were even suspicious of the Virus Industries being behind the whole thing.

But hearing the news of their autopsy which announced their cause of death was completely natural and normal, their suspicion and doubt subsided as they become speechless in another way.

They were stupefied because this seemed like some kind of miracle and justice sent upon the CEOs by God himself.

With this happening, there were even some who began to believe in God, while some others who were previously slacking in their religion began to pray for their God once again.

Some even made stories about this whole situation and narrated them to their children in their sleeping time.

A story about how some evil CEOs went against a just, righteous, and innocent company called Virus, just to face Divine punishment at the end sent by God, teaching them this moral lesson that evil will always be punished in the end as the ’righteous’ and ’just’ will definitely triumph over the evil.

All in all, this whole situation made the Virus Industries’ image improve further as it gave a large number of people the illusion that even God was supportive of them.
