Volume 3 - 186 So What?
Volume 3 - 186 So What?
’Why is this even happening to me to begin with? I should’ve been still able to separate my entity, mind, and consciousness from my emotions and hormones to begin with... just like how the other AIs were able to... did something go wrong while I was making this body?’ As time passed extremely slowly compared to the heaven-defying thinking process of Virus, he began to consider the source of this problem despite being in grave danger.
He continued, ’Hmm, impossible! I know exactly what happened throughout the process of making my body and I can say with a ninety-nine point nine million, nine hundred ninety-nine thousand, nine hundred and ninety-eight percent certainty that there was nothing wrong with the process at all!’
’This is just like how some of the things regarding my personality and decisions have been influenced and changed from the past... like with the case of Ella and me having intercourse... so it might all come to my [Existence Codes]... or it might not... hmm, I really have to access it and check it out in the first moment I’m able to.’ He concluded as he came back to the problem he was facing at this moment.
’If I just stand here... I’m going to die.’ Then, just as the thought of ’dying’ hit him, abruptly, his body began to move out of the whip’s way as it became much easier for him to make the decision of dodging the incoming attack which seemed like tens of snakes were attacking him.
’Oh, why was I able to move and dodge, unlike her previous attack?’ Surprised, Virus deliberated as to why he was able to dodge that attack so easily even though Rossefin had requested him to let the whip hit his body, ’Hmm...’
Then, the next instant, as thousands of possibilities passed through his head, he finally came to the most likely conclusion, ’I see... so these emotions inside me aren’t strong enough to make me want to take deadly attacks or die for her... it’s not even strong enough to force me to admit defeat, though it was almost there...’
’Since this attack of hers would’ve injured me gravely unlike the previous time... my emotions weren’t that much conflicted with my logical thinking process so I was able to easily dodge out of the way.’ Coming to the most likely possibility, Virus contemplated.
’So, she won’t be able to threaten my life or force me into admitting defeat... however, she would be able to slowly increase my injuries by gradually dealing non-lethal attacks... hmm...’ He deliberated further.
Then he added to that thought, ’Though... when the injuries accumulate to a certain extent and arrive at the point of being considered lethal if dealt with any further damage than that... I might be able to start dodging all of her attacks from that point onward... but it might be too late by then.’
In the meantime, seeing him dodge, Rossefin’s eyeballs had almost popped out of their sockets!
This was because this person in front of her absolutely shouldn’t be able to resist against her requests... not even if she requested him to kill himself!
Since, her bloodline worked in a mysterious way that the weaker a person’s cultivation was, the stronger the effects of her Sirin bloodline would be on that opponent!
And the extent of this bloodline of hers was that as long as the cultivation level of her opponent was in the same level as hers, requests like ’admit defeat’ or ’take a deadly injury from me for my sake’ should’ve been extremely easy!
This bloodline of hers was so powerful that even opponents who were stronger than her to a certain extent wouldn’t be able to tolerate requests like ’admit defeat’...
But now, in front of her, she was seeing a puny mortal who not only refused her request of admitting defeat... he even refused to take a deadly injury for her! This was simply... too astonishing and shocking for her!
’How can a mortal resist against my bloodline? Just how much determination does a person have to possess in order to resist my bloodline to this extent even just as a mortal without any kind of cultivation base whatsoever!’ Feeling absurd, she pondered to herself.
In the meantime, after dodging her attack, Virus continued his contemplation, ’Now, I know the extent at which her powers are going to affect me... and moreover, I almost understand the cause of these kinds of conflicting emotions inside me... however, I’m still not aware of the reason...’
’Nevertheless, now that I understand the situation and the question of what’s happening to me... the only thing I need to think of is to either find a way to resist and counterattack against this influence... or to figure out the weakness her power has!’ Arriving at this conclusion, Virus began to analyze everything that had happened since the moment their match had begun and he even analyzed Rossefin’s previous match which he had watched...
’She never used this ability of hers when going against Tinsel, which most likely means her powers are not effective against women... or that she didn’t see the need to use her true powers against her...’ He concluded.
Then, returning to the topic of analyzing the current match, Virus began to scrutinize her behavior, his own behavior, how the surroundings were having an influence on this whole situation, how her powers activated and reacted, whether they deactivated or not throughout the entire match, and many, many other factors which were instantly analyzed by him very thoroughly.
And ultimately, when he arrived at a certain factor as to when and where her powers were the least and the most powerful, he finally found a weakness to this special ability of hers!
’Eyesight! That’s it... her powers are affecting me in a mysterious way through my eyesight and it affects me as long as she’s in my line of sight! It’s not some kind of common pheromone emitting from her body that’s influencing my body by entering inside me directly... no, it’s far more complicated than that... this power of hers probably has something to do with her Qi and something special inside her body and it influences me directly through the visual images of the world and the way I perceive her.’ Enlightened, a smile finally showed itself on Virus’ face.
He was able to discover this weakness by a very minor detail that he was almost a hundred percent sure that anyone else other than him would’ve missed.
’At the moment I blink each time, her power that influences me gradually starts to get weaker by a very small margin as the secretion amount of hormones inside me starts to lessen and that in return, makes those emotions inside me grew weaker to an undiscoverable extent of almost being considered none at all!’ This was the key that had triggered the answer he was looking for.
’Since the duration of each blink is extremely short... and that this weakening is gradual... almost no one other than me who has even total image of what’s going on inside himself would’ve recognized this very hardly noticeable weakness... well, let’s test it now.’ With a rather wide grin which in return made Rossefin frown in confusion, Virus thought.
Then, looking at her in amusement, he uttered, "Truly... the fight I had against you was the most entertaining thus far... I really felt the rush!"
"However, that’s as far as we go... let’s end this... since I’ve already found your weakness!" Virus proclaimed.
Listening to Virus’ abrupt words, surprised, Rossefin’s eyes opened wider as the whites of her eyes revealed itself for a moment, however, soon, they went back to normal as she inquired with a strange grin, "And what is that, senior apprentice-brother?"
"Eyesight! As long as I close my eyes... you will no longer be able to have any kind of influence on me!" Virus stated while examining her reactions to the most minor of details.
Hearing his reply, Rossefin’s eyes opened extremely widely as she thought in shock, ’How, how did he discover that? How did he know that my powers at this stage can only affect my opponent through eyesight???’
Seeing her reaction, the grin on Virus’ face grew even wide as he thought, ’Bingo, according to her reaction, now I’m a hundred percent certain that my hypothesis was extremely accurate!’
However, Rossefin’s astonishment didn’t last as she promptly began to laugh like she had gone crazy all of a sudden, "Hehehehehehe..."
"What are you laughing about?" Smiling broadly, Virus asked.
"No... no... it’s just that... even if you know my weakness... so what? What can you do about it? It’s not like you can fight while closing your eyes right? Hehe..." She declared with mirth.
’Well... if others came to discover her weakness... they might not have been able to counterattack this weakness on hers in anyway... however... I have two ways of doing that! Though, I’m going to utilize only one since the other one is...’ As he thought to this point, he uttered, "Well, we will just have to see about that, won’t we?"
Announcing this, Virus broadly smiled once again as he closed both of his eyes entirely!
Seeing this sight of him closing his eyes, both the spectators and Rossefin became truly speechless.
"Why did he close his eyes all of a sudden?" This was the question that was passing through a lot of disciples’ mind at this moment.
While, in a certain area, a male voiced confusingly, "Is this his way of admitting defeat?"
And hearing this, his friend replied, "Hmm... senior apprentice sister probably requested him to close his eyes and let her bash him up a little... I mean... you know how her power works... haha."
"Eh... why did master close her eyes???" Becoming extremely shocked and worried as a result of seeing Virus close his eyes, the golden beauty rose to her feet and voiced before yelling in anxiousness, "Master! Open your eyes! This is dangerous!!"
"Astes... why do you think master’s closing his eyes?" Then, understanding Virus wasn’t able to hear her voice in this noisy and gigantic Colosseum, sitting back in distress, she inquired.
"Hmmm... I... I don’t know either..." Almost just as tense as the golden beauty, shaking her head, Astes replied.
In the meantime, seeing Virus actually close his eyes, after her initial shock and speechlessness, Rossefin couldn’t help but crack up again, "Hehehehe... truly funny!"
In the meantime, the moment Virus closed his eyes, just as he had predicted, those emotions inside him began to calm down and entirely disappear before long...
’Let’s begin.’ Next, as this notion went through Virus’ mind, without anyone realizing, abruptly and very silently, with him being the center of it all, from his body, an unknown type of wave-like energy began to be discharged and emitted as it soon covered an entire ten meters radius around him.

Since this didn’t fit in the Author’s thought section, I’ll say it here, however, since it’s less than 200 words, it won’t affect the SS requirement, so be rest assured: [As the writer, I always believed, still believe, and will continue believing that the most appropriate situation for Virus’ first injury is through his emotions due to many reasons! Not through external conflict... but through Internal Conflict(artificially induced or whatnot) which arose as a result of him entering a human body!
Some of you dear readers can’t trust me as a writer and just say whatever that pops into your mind like ’It is dumb for real wtf.’ without even seeing the whole picture first or because my logic doesn’t work the same as yours... fine! But commenting things like ’It’s like the author is stupid. Can’t believe that was just written.’! This is no longer about the story! You’re insulting me as a writer here and I don’t have to put up with that!]
