Volume 4 - 240 Discharged

The media all around the world was going crazy reporting this unexpected piece of news which was currently disturbing the whole world once again.

And in return for these pieces of news, people around the world were showing different kinds of reactions.

"It seems like God really wants us all dead... and all this won’t stop until we’re all no more!" An old man voiced in a calm tone, he had aged to a degree that he was no longer afraid of death to be honest.

.

.

.

"No... Mommy, are we all going to die?" An elementary school kid asked her mom. She and her mom lived in Paris.

"No, why would we die? Humanity is stronger than you think baby girl... whatever happens, we’ll definitely survive." Caressing her head, her mom replied to her, reassuring the kid with a kind smile, however internally, she was scared witless as her hand was shivering slightly.

.

.

.

"Dude! We are all fucked! A portal just opened up in Paris!" Running toward his best friend, a young man voiced in fear.

However, unlike his expectations, the other young man’s eyes began to shine like never before as he queried, "Really?!? Do you think if we pass through it... we would be transported into another world?"

.

.

.

"Damn it. It’s SAP! It must be SAP! It’s gonna destroy our world! FAP just finished and now SAP has arrived!" {A/N: I believe he means ’Second Apocalyptic Phenomena :D)

.

.

.

"I knew that fucking foreshadower was right! This was foreshadowed! We’re screwed now!" Someone who had watched Liliana Tudor’s program exclaimed while looking at the rift displaying itself on the television.

The world leaders were also deeply shaken by the news as they were keeping a close eye on France. What happened next would decide and change a lot of things for them.

This was especially true for countries like the United States, Russia, China, Korea, Japan, etc. who were watching everything with their satellites day and night. They even sent some people of authority and soldiers to watch everything from a closer range.

Anyway, France’s army soon created a small group of soldiers who were willing to enter the crack in the fabric of space.

These ten brave soldiers were soon equipped with spacesuits and cameras as they were about to enter the rift.

So, one after another, they walked before the rift very slowly. A few seconds later, the first person in the line was upon the crack. After hesitating for a bit, determination began to course through his eyes as he directly walked into the crack, vanishing into it.

After that, the remaining nine people also started to enter one after another. Very soon, all of them were gone and what remained behind was an army of soldiers watching their disappearing comrades quietly.

The team was ordered to return in at most ten hours. If it took any longer than that, it would be assumed that something had gone wrong and those soldiers were probably... dead.

A variety of tanks, helicopters, and thousands of soldiers armed with many weapons and grenades were already lined in the surroundings of the rift. It was literally a warzone now.

There were even aircrafts ready for call prepared at the military airports that would go in motion the moment something showed up from the rift.

"Army general, it’s been an hour since they entered, but nothing so far..." A soldier came running and reported the situation to the dignified Army general who was currently resting in the special bus that was prepared for him.

No hurries, tell the soldiers to stay alert. Change their shifts every three hours and be prepared for any sudden changes in the rift.

"Yes, sir." Saluting, the soldier left.

Very quickly, two hours elapsed, but there was still no news from the team that had entered the crack.

Three hours...

Four hours...

.

.

.

Six hours...

By now, the soldiers were getting anxious as a scary thought began to pop up in their heads, the notion that their comrades might be already dead.

However, shaking their heads, they decided not to lose hope just yet.

Eight hours...

Nine hours...

Now, there was almost no one with hopes about the soldiers coming back alive, they could feel that they would never return and this saddened and disheartened many of them greatly.

Finally, ten hours drifted away but no further news was received from the other side of the rift as its condition remained the same as before.

"Sigh... so they’re dead." Vocalized the Army general in a helpless tone.

"This won’t work... we can only wait for the monsters to come out by themselves." Shaking his head, he picked up a specific phone as he started to report everything to the higher-ups.

.

.

.

"Sigh... order the soldiers to stand by and be alarmed, we will wait for the monsters to come out themselves." Ordered the President with a sigh.

.

.

.

Afterward, the soldiers and tanks remained there on stand by as they closely guarded the rift both day and night until finally, three days had already passed.

"What’s going on? Why isn’t anything happening?" A soldier asked his comrade.

"No idea... maybe... nothing’s going to happen?" His comrade answered.

Four days...

.

.

.

A week slipped away just like that, but there was still no reaction whatsoever from the crack in front of them.

By now, even the Army general was having doubts as to whether something was going to happen or not.

.

.

.

"Hmm... the news said there is no reaction whatsoever from the rift yet... maybe the news was wrong? Maybe those monsters have nothing to do with the rift in Paris?" A girl sitting in her class proclaimed at her classmate.

"That’s very likely... otherwise, why would nothing happen until now?" Said the other young girl.

The whole world was questioning the fact as to whether the rift in Paris had anything to do with those savage beasts or not now. However, no one’s attention was swayed from Paris as they continued to carefully keep it under their radars.

Time began to elapse once more until the fifteenth day arrived. By now, the soldiers were just gazing at the rupture in front of them in a rather disinterested manner, as if they believed nothing would happen at all, just like the past fifteen days.

And it was at this time, when finally, the rift started reacting and shockingly, the distance between the two sides of the crack opened slightly, revealing the blue and white fog-like clouds inside it for a moment.

Crack~

Immediately, horrifying beasts of extraordinary sizes started to appear before the rift one after another.

There were three gigantic three-meters six-horned rhinoceroses, a terrifying three-meters spider which had the head of a lion, six white tigers, and four squirrel-like two meters beasts which had frightening claws together with very muscly legs.

Then, for a moment, the rift stopped spitting out monsters altogether, making those who could still think to believe that was the end.

However, at this time, the rift began to function again as it started to discharge various kinds of creatures once more!

This time though, there was a difference between the previous gigantic monsters and the new creatures that were popping up.
