Chapter 1049: Squad

“Mr. Remulos, have you ever heard of a dungeon?” Lu Li was completely brainwashed by the Darkmoon Card; he wanted his own men to replace the others. If he could just have a few more of these cards, it would all be worth it.
Remulos nodded his head.
“Dungeons... I’ve heard of this term lately. They are the works of Nozdormu, right?”
“Countless adventurers have entered the dungeons to explore, and the best team of them all is mine. If you’re willing to choose us, we won’t disappoint you,” Lu Li said confidently.
In fact, if his team couldn’t complete the mission, Lu Li was certain that it would be impossible to rescue Thrall at this stage.
The eyes of Remulos glowed gold and scanned across Lu Li before returning to normal. He knew that Lu Li was right because he was covered in the invisible bloodstains of the Bosses he had slain.
“Who are the others? Can you negotiate with them for us?” Lu Li asked.
Lu Li wasn’t interested in the quest at all before the Darkmoon Card was offered as a reward. The quest wasn’t easy in the first place and he also had a 50% chance of dying while working with players that he didn’t know.
Darkmoon Card!
Even if he dropped an equip, it would be worth it. A Darkmoon Card was even more precious than a Legendary equip. Lu Li already knew of its benefits.
“We can try to negotiate, but for the positions that are already set, I’m afraid that we can’t do anything about that.”
Remulos knew that Lu Li was right, the quest might fail if they didn’t pick the best.
If the players failed, it would just be another quest for them, but for the NPCs, the repercussions were much more serious.
“Then give me the other spare spots,” Lu Li said, not thinking about changing the decision of the NPCs.
He was someone with a negative Charm attribute, and only Remulos valued him because they knew each other well. If this was another NPC, it would be a different story.
As for true strength, this was of the least concern for the game.
“Alright, hopefully the others aren’t as fast.”
Remulos used the branch that formed his arms to draw a few marks on the floor. A number of inscriptions quickly appeared and scattered in the air.
Shortly after, all sorts of new symbols resurfaced from the floor. Lu Li guessed that this was some type of messaging method between NPCs.
The reason why Dawn was so popular had to do with the amount of work that they put into designing the game.
The company had created a detailed game setting with races and classes that had their own culture and stories to tell. They had even designed languages for the races and the inscriptions weren’t written randomly either.
Unfortunately, Lu Li was illiterate, even in his own language, so he definitely wouldn’t be able to understand any of these magic words.
Lu Li had thought about going back to school.
Previously, he couldn’t afford it, but now that everything was set with his sister and he had the money and time to go, he was thinking about it.
There was something about school that really intrigued him, so he always used the support money that the government gave him to send his sister to school.
“Looks like you’re not very lucky,” Remulos interrupted his thoughts.
“Did...” Lu Li’s heart sank. Had all the spots been taken? That would be a tragedy indeed.
“Some people are more stubborn; they’re determined to use the people they’re familiar with. They can’t cooperate even at this stage,” Remulos reported with a disappointed expression.
“How many are there? What classes?” Lu Li asked.
“A Warrior, a Mage and a Thief. That’s three locked in. The others have agreed that I can take the other spots, so besides these 3, there are still 7 spots,” Remulos replied.
Lu Li let out a sigh of relief; he thought this was a five-man quest.
He wondered who the other three were, that even Remulos had no influence on them.
“Shall I ask them to come over now?” Lu Li asked as he looked at the time. Most over his team members were online, and he made a discussion group with everyone on standby. Sesame Rice Ball wasn’t online, so he pulled over Kitty Likes Meat over first.
“Alright, I’ll draw out Nozdormu’s magic circle first,” Remulos said as he turned to do his own thing.
The few that Remulos mentioned quickly came; they were all familiar with Lu Li. This was normal, considering that this quest was too difficult for the ordinary players.
The Mage was Unforgettable Maple, not Sorrowless.
This was understandable, considering that Sorrowless spent most of his time leveling and barely completed any quests. This meant that he didn’t have much of a chance to interact with the NPCs.
The Warrior was Elevenless. As one of the top Warriors, this was fair.
The Thief was Water Fairy.
The classes may have overlapped, but things became possible when Water Fairy’s trainer NPC was brought into the equation. Water Fairy also had a strong background.
Placing the class of these three players into consideration, Lu Li quickly decided on the players for the team.
The main tank would definitely be Azure Sea Breeze, while the healer position would go to March Rain.
Lonesome Flower would be a must if March Rain was coming. Not to mention, his damage output was incredible.
They needed a Warlock, and without Sesame Rice Ball, who seemed to be attending a wedding in real life, Kitty Likes Meat became the next choice. She still had the equipment she had borrowed from him yesterday for the match.
Bringing Hachi Chan along seemed like a good idea too because they needed to hang out with the NPCs.
They were going to take down quite a few strong bosses, so the loots would be excellent. Remnant Dream wasn’t weak either and she also had a 10% buff, so no one would object to her presence.
