Chapter 1121: Harvest

As the crowd dispersed, Lu Li and Water Fairy left as well.

Before leaving, he accepted the Bounty Quest set by Bolvar Fordragon which offered a reward for the head of Onyxia the Black Dragon Princess. Even if the rewards weren’t that good, he would have taken the quest. He intended to avenge Marshal Windsor.

In his heart, Marshal Windsor was a hero and an NPC friend.

This was the starting quest to a line of main quests that involved this black dragon. They were important for meeting the conditions to unlock Onyxia’s lair, so the rewards were particularly worthwhile.

Lu Li had received a large amount of EXP. When this was added to the EXP received from the Blackrock Abyss Instance Dungeon, he managed to return to the top position of the Level Rankings with 85% of his EXP bar filled at level 54. Below him was Lonesome Flower, March Rain and Azure Sea Breeze. Water Fairy had also entered the top five because of this quest.

There was also an enhanced Skill Book – Enhanced Rupture.

Rupture was an Ultimate Skill that slashed the target and applied a continuous Bleed. The damage and intensity were based on the number of combo points that were consumed. This would be further increased when the skill was enhanced. Additionally, an Armour Pierce Effect has also been added, which was applied after Rupture’s continuous damage effect ended.

The percentage of Armour Pierce was also related to the number of combo points consumed.

This skill was very powerful and had a greater effect than Enhanced Shadowstrike. After all, it was an ultimate skill.

At this point, Lu Li had three Enhanced Skills – Enhanced Stealth, Enhanced Shadowstrike and Enhanced Rupture.

In fact, Lu Li was hoping to obtain an Enhanced Skill that purely dealt damage. Only such a skill could kill a target within one five-combo rotation. Rupture was a continuous damage spell and its overall damage would be far less than a spell purely focused on dealing damage.

The third reward was a necklace.

Lu Li’s current necklace was Pamela’s Gift that he had originally acquired from Little Pamela’s quest. Its Attributes were not that great, but even at level 80, this item would not be obsolete.

Pamela’s Gift (Dark Gold): Critical Hit +30%, Damage +10%, Special Effects: Pamela’s Sweet Tea, Instant Cast. Immediately regenerates 20% of HP, then regenerates 2% of HP every second for the next five seconds. Can be interrupted and cannot be cast on anyone but the user. 30 minute cooldown. Equipment Requirements: Level 30. Durability 72/72.

However, as a professional Thief who was always trying to increase his strength, Lu Li couldn’t use this item at level 80. After all, the Special Effects of his equipment were just too ordinary. The only good thing about it was that it restored HP.

The necklace awarded by this quest was called Dragonfire Amulet.

Dragonfire Amulet (Epic): All Attributes +40, HP +800, 2 Slots. Special Effect 1: Fire Resistance +20%, Special Effect 2: Torrent of Life. Regenerates 1000HP upon use and receive +100% in Healing for the next 30 seconds. Special Effect 3: Return to Life. When this item is equipped, the user is given one chance to revive every day. When revived in this way, the EXP loss is halved and the user is invincible for three seconds after reviving. Equipment Requirements: Level 60. Durability 350/350.

The fact that there was a such an item in Dawn dumbfounded Lu Li.

This item was definitely worthy of being called an Epic and provided a great indicator of the items to come from the main line quests.

It added points to all Attributes, as well as HP. Lu Li originally had a little more than 3000 HP, but now he had more than 4000. To his knowledge, Azure Sea Breeze had somewhere between 5000 to 6000 HP.

When a Thief had 3000 HP, they could already be described as being ‘tanky’. A Thief with 4000 HP was enough to make most Warriors and Paladins cry. From this particular point of view, this item blew Pamela’s Gift out of the water.

Furthermore, the Dragonfire Amulet had Fire Resistance, which was a very important Attribute for the next Instance Dungeon.

Torrent of Life was a skill that could make up for the lost regeneration effect from Pamela’s Gift. Pamela’s Gift could only increase his HP by a significant amount if there wasn’t anything to interrupt him. However, with the Dragonfire Amulet, you could gain a bulk of HP immediately while also receiving 200% healing. This meant that any skill which healed for 200 HP would heal him for 400 HP over the next 30 seconds.

Unfortunately, it was a level 60 equipment, so Lu Li had to use a Level Reducing Gem. However, he did not intend to sell the replaced necklace. Pamela had given it to him, and when he looked at it, he would remember her. He had resolved to always take care of this necklace.

There was also the bonus item from achieving the First Clear in Blackrock Abyss. Lu Li didn’t have the time to check it while they were in the Instance Dungeon.

It was only now he discovered that it was a pair of level 55 Dark Gold Gloves – Grasps of the Survivor.

Grasps of the Survivor (Dark Gold): Armour 55, Agility +55, Strength +35, Critical Hit +15%, 2 Slots, Special Effect 1: Backstab Skill Level +1, Special Effect 2: When attacked, there is a certain probability that the attacker’s skill will be interrupted, Special Effect 3: Assault, instantly close in on a target within eight yards and inflicts a 1 second stun to the target. Equipment Requirements: Level 55. Durability 280/280.

Although they were Epic, all three effects were very useful. There wasn’t much to say about the first effect – Backstab was a very common attacking skill, so adding a level to it was definitely valuable. The second effect had a chance of activating, so its utility was largely up to luck. If you interrupted a minor skill, it would be rather inconsequential, but if you were lucky enough to interrupt an ultimate skill, then it could turn the tides of battle.

The third effect was Lu Li’s favourite. This wasn’t just a mobility skill like Sudden Thrust; it was particularly good for chasing players down.

After the mobility effect, a 1 second stun would also be applied. This effect increased the value of Grasps of the Survivor by at least 30%. Lu Li decided to keep this effect as his trump card. He would save it to chase down an unsuspecting Magic player, like Sorrowless.

Lu Li’s current gloves were a level 40 Gold item that had long since fallen behind.

Scourge Buster (Gold): Armour 40, Agility +30, Strength +16, Critical Hit +10%, Special Effect 1: +30% damage to Scourge units, Special Effect 2: when the user’s HP drops below 30%, there is a probability that the user’s damage will triple. Equipment Requirements: Level 40. Durability: 84/84.

The only thing that Lu Li liked about these was that they dealt a lot of damage to the Scourge. As for the second special effect, it was basically useless because there was such a low chance of it activating.

He was still 15% from level 55, so he still couldn’t equip Grasps of the Survivor. Lu Li didn’t want to waste a Level Reducing Gem and planned to farm for the next few days since he didn’t have a match tomorrow anyway.

The whole process of the all-star team had finally been edited. Now, it would be used as promotional material for the game. Once this advertising went live to promote Dawn, it would be a killing blow for all the other games on the market.

The rewards for the star players for participating were sent to their respective mailboxes after they completed the Instance Dungeon.

Lu Li had received an Epic ring.
