March Rain didn’t have many hobbies, but eating was definitely one of them.
Because of her brother who spoiled her, March Rain had eaten everything in the game. What Lu Li meant was that he was going to take her to a place that she liked. He thought that she would be more than happy to, but she shook her head.
Did she just want money like Remnant Dream? March Rain wasn’t that type of girl.
“It’s Water Fairy,” March Rain whispered as she signalled with her hands.
He looked in the direction that she was pointing in and saw Water Fairy with her arms crossed. She was wearing a light blue dress, which unlike her usual tight outfits, was quite wavy and baggy.
She was wearing a white butterfly mask, but those who were close to her could easily tell who she was.
“Major guild leaders like you still have time to do some shopping?”
Lu Li was still contemplating whether to greet her when Water Fairy began to approach them. He couldn’t read the tone of her voice, but it was obvious that there was a hint of sarcasm.
Lu Li because very nervous, almost as if he had just been caught cheating.
“I helped Lu Li craft some equips. The stats were pretty good so he offered to buy me dinner,” March Rain explained before Lu Li was able to respond, then added, “But I didn’t say yes because my older brother wanted to take me to try out some food from the Horde faction.
“I didn’t say anything,” Water Fairy said, pretending to not care. She was a bit ticked off that Lu Li was spending the holidays with another girl but since March Rain felt the need to explain herself, it seemed a lot more suspicious now.
It was too bad that Lu Li had brought so much nice food for her.
“I still have something on later so I’ll leave first,” March Rain said with a smile and left quietly. Lu Li and Water Fairy stood there as they watched her walk away.
“Did Square Root Three not look for you?” Lu Li asked.
“He did, but I got someone else to talk to him. What’s happening?” Water Fairy asked curiously.
If it was something involving Square Root Three, then she would not be interested, but it seemed to involve Lu Li.
“It’s about the Blackrock Tower dungeon. We finished the Nightmare mode clear today,” Lu Li said, then began to explain the dungeon to her.
Although Water Fairy wasn’t very good at shot calling, she still understood everything that Lu Li said.
If it wasn’t because of the difference races of people walking past, it would be almost impossible to differentiate the game from reality. The Draenei, Dwarves, Gnomes and Night Elves made it apparent to him that they were in the game.
Since they were in a game, there was no need for Lu Li to be reserved.
Lu Li remembered the book that his sister had given him on the art of winning over girls. He grabbed his arm, then looked into her eyes and replied, “There are a lot of people. Hold my hand, because you might get lost.”
A lot of people?
There were indeed a lot of people in Stormwind City, but it would be difficult for a grown adult to get lost.
Water Fairy did not retract her hand. She would normally hold her friend’s arm when shopping as well.
“Wouldn’t defeating Marshal Maxwell be very costly?”
They continued discussing the dungeon which made their hand-holding less awkward. Lu Li was trying hard to stay cool and collected, but he couldn’t help but wonder why Water Fairy’s hand was so soft.
Lu Xin was well protected by Lu Li and had never done any hard labor.
However, even her hands were not as soft as Water Fairy’s. The feeling was almost indescribable and he really didn’t want to let go.
“What’s up?”
“Cough, cough, nothing. It wasn’t that costly; we just didn’t make as much money. In order to control the amount of money in the game, gaming companies often nerf the profit in dungeons.”
“Are you trying to store up money?” Water Fairy was quick to read Lu Li’s intentions.
“We’re just storing up money since we’re about to reach Lv60,” Lu Li replied, choosing not to specify what the money was for.
In every game, there were always people who stockpiled money.
No matter how hard the gaming company tried, as the game developed over time, the value of the in-game currency would also change. Lu Li had to take advantage of every opportunity to make money.
When he was level 60, he would require money for a wedding.
In real life, there were people who couldn’t afford to eat, live, get sick or even die. In the game, something else that people couldn’t afford was a wedding.
First, you needed to have a girlfriend. Next, you had to be very wealthy. Lastly, you had to be willing to spend that money to get married to her in the game.
Those that were single didn’t have to worry about this. However, those that managed to find themselves a girlfriend often couldn’t afford to give them a proper wedding.
Applying to get married already costed a ridiculous amount of money. Lu Li would also have to pay for the proposal as well as the wedding ceremony.
The fireworks made from Engineering were quite plain, so the game offered eye-catching fireworks that featured cute characters such as Pikachu and Cupid.
They were truly beautiful, but these fireworks were 500 gold each.
Everyone channel in the entire server would receive the notification, but since it was such a high price, many players were still very hesitant in using these for proposals.
Even so, if he didn’t pay for at least two of these, then girls wouldn’t take them seriously.
Another reason why the economy fluctuated was because of the Garrison system.
The Garrison System allowed the player to have a piece of their own land which they could upgrade and earn passive Exp and currency from.
Any map could have a beginner Garrison, but other guilds and mercenary groups could compete to take over the Garrison. They could either complete quests or bid for it.
Rich organizations would pay a lot of money for important Garrisons which was why the major guilds began storing up money.
By then, the economy would fluctuate again.
Lu Li had some money on his hand right now, but he could not be complacent and fall behind. This was also why he advised Water Fairy to save some money right now so that they could help each other in the future.
