Chapter 1733: Hello Again, Old Fordring

Naxxramas needed a starting quest in order to enter it. Lu Li hadn’t even done it in his past life.

He couldn’t do this Instance Dungeon so there was no point in wasting materials for the starting quest.

This quest was received from the NPC in the Light Hope Chapel of the Eastern Plaguelands. In Silver Dawn, reputation required two Arcane Crystals and one Nexus Crystal to complete the quest and worship was free to enter into.

Once the quest was complete, there were unlimited entries.

For the Instance Dungeon, Lu Li had 40 people from the Alliance enter into it. There were 60 more people outside awaiting orders. These people also needed to do the starting quest, and majority of other people not participating in the Instance Dungeon also needed to do the starting quest.

The market price for Arcane Crystals and Nexus Crystals had been pushed higher and higher. The merchants who had hoarded the right goods made another fortune.

However, they were still incomparable to Shen Wansan – the miracle.

Other people didn’t know, but Lu Li clearly knew, that these two things on the market at the moment where all pretty much in the hands of Shen Wansan. He pretty much had spent all his savings on these things.

70% or 80% was enough for him to monopolise the market for both materials.

Anyone who wanted to enter into Naxxramas all needed to give Fatty Shen a large sum of money. Other than the people of the Alliance, at least those who entered into the Instance Dungeon didn’t need to spend a cent and could enter in and out at will.

Because Shen Wansan received this information from Lu Li, so he needed to provide sufficient reciprocation.

On top of that, Shen Wansan had also shown his sincerity in joining Ruling Sword. His road as a businessman was no longer challenging, earning more money had no more meaning towards his career or life. He hoped that he could join Ruling Sword, and to manage Ruling Sword’s finances.

Of course, he didn’t fall for Lu Li’s charisma and entered in as a lowly employee, but rather he entered through equity with capital, so as to grasp the power of Ruling Sword.

Fatty Shen was an old friend who had worked with Lu Li countless times and provided Ruling Sword with very important material support. Now Lu Li was not going to use Fatty Shen anymore.

Phantom Glaze’s Life Profession Alliance was more suited to cooperate with Ruling Sword. Moreover, they each took what they needed, so there wasn’t the question of who would betray who. Lu LI had no stakes in the Life Profession Alliance. And Phantom Glaze who focused on Life Professional naturally didn’t intend to conquer the territory of Ruling Sword.

But Lu Li wouldn’t go to the extent of ditching Shen Wansan.

Fatty Shen and Lu Li were close in terms of personal friends. Plus, Fatty Shen was a natural born business man. He had an astounding talent for making money. If he joined Ruling Sword, then Ruling Sword’s finances wouldn’t be a big mess.

Square Root 3 raised both hands to welcome Shen Wansan to join. However, Lu Li was thinking about how to distribute the profits.

After grabbing the full set of materials from Shen Wansan, everyone completed the starting quest straight away at Naxxramas, they only needed to hand it to Archmage Angela Dosantos, then they could deliver into the flying stronghold of Kel’Thuzad.

“Lieutenant Sir, I think I have a letter here for you,” Archmage Angela Dosantos said after Lu Li completed the quest.

“A letter? For me?” Lu Li was surprised.

He had such low charisma, so he had only finished the starting quest because there were no requirements for it. He didn’t think that there were additional quests outside of it, and especially in the presence of little Hachi Chan.

“A letter for you from Sir Tirion. It was coincidental to have bumped into you today,” Archmage Angela Dosantos explained.

Okay, since it was Old Fordring then it was no problem.

Lu Li and Old Fordring had been old friends for ‘many’ years. Their relationship was even closer than Lu Li and Remulos, because Remulos was a demi-god. While Old Fordring now was also relatively powerful, but back when Lu Li first met him, he was still just an ordinary farmer. Lu Li had also helped him obtain Tyr’s Hand.

“Thank you. Dear Ladies,” Lu Li received the letter.

The letter’s content was roughly some greetings, then it wrote that Kel’Thuzad’s flying stronghold held a war that would threaten the whole Plaguelands. Tirion Fordring hoped that Lu Li could find time out of his busy schedule to go to Tyr’s Hand to negotiate a grand plan.

To negotiate a grand plan – that was such a good surprise!

Originally, he had thought that this Instance Dungeon had all the players operate individually. He didn’t think that Old Fordring would repay what he had done before.

So, it could be said, that people needed to be willing to give first, both to other players or NPCs. Even if it were NPCs, you would still reap the rewards one day as long as you maintained a steady flow of interactions.

Other people started to enter into the Instance Dungeon. Lu Li headed to Tyr’s Hand by himself.

Tyr’s Hand had changed drastically. Lu Li remembered from the last time he had left there that more than half of the buildings were destroyed. There were broken limbs and blood everywhere. The execution pillars that raised corpses that went straight into the sky. The sky looked like burnt yellow. But now everything was no longer the same.

The powerful walls were five or six meters high, and the thick boulders were covered with a dark red colour, which indicated that many battles had been fought there.

Teams of Paladins galloped passed. They held print guns used in battles, holy light surrounded their bodies that made it hard for people to keep their eyes open.

There were also many civilians who welcomed back their returning heroes. They took the paladins’ horses and gave them warm food. Some people had also spontaneously cleaned the paladins’ wounds and wiped their armour. They were also very warmly welcoming Lu Li here.

Back then, it was Lu Li who had led a group to rescue 3000 civilians from the cellar. Basically, all these people had stayed at Tyr’s Hand to help Old Fordring build his former home.

Then other people came to this place; these people weren’t opportunists who came to make a fortune, but rather they were the lucky survivors of those who had lost their loved ones and territory in Lordaeron. They couldn’t beat the Undead, so they could only contribute in their own way to the survivors’ battle.

“Take me to Sir Tirion,” Lu Li said.

Then a paladin led Lu Li on the broad stone road in the city and soon brought him to Tirion Fordring.

“Oh, my friend! I heard this whole city calling your name,” Old Fordring smiled as he walked over and gave Lu Li a solid hug.

“I don’t deserve it. They are truly the ones that are worthy of respect,” Lu Li nervously smiled. He was used to hiding in the shadows, not this type of heroic welcome, but it didn’t feel too bad either.

“Mate, it’s been a long while since you appeared in the Plaguelands – what have you been up to?” Old Fordring playfully asked.

Ever since the Battle of the Scourge ended, Lu Li had vanished off the face of the earth until today when he received news of Lu Li in the Light Hope Chapel.

“Everything is for Azeroth,” Lu Li replied. He simply explained the Ahn’Qiraj Bugs which Old Fordring knew nothing about. Naturally, he appreciated Lu Li’s act of saving Azeroth.
