“I still think it’s better if we use four damage dealers and one healer,” Moonlight asserted, giving his weapon a slap.

“Why do you say that?” Lu Li turned his gaze over to his weapons and immediately understood what he was suggesting, “It’s really hard to have things go our way on the battlefield, and these opponents of ours are quite difficult.”

“Power and luck. It all comes down to that no matter what,” Moonlight nodded.

“If we have four damage dealers, then Cat or Monkey, who’ll participate between the two of you?” Lu Li asked.

“Oh, just let Cat go,” When Fat Monkey knew about Lu Li and Moonlight’s strategy and sadly gave up his chance to take the stage. His output wasn’t any worse than Kitty Likes Meat’s, and his Burst damage was even stronger than hers. However, he wasn’t able to survive as long as Kitty Likes Meat.

Kitty Likes Meat’s surprise attack was done in tandem with her pet Voidwalker, as they joined together to turn into something like a big Doraemon.

This Doraemon had high HP and defence, could Taunt, and was also able to recover its own health. It could be said that this was most suitable for trying out the new tactic. Although Fat Monkey was an experienced Magician master, it was a shame that he rarely worked on improving his equipment to increase his survival.

On Lu Li and his team’s side, they had the healing druid Innocent Child, and the damage dealers were the Thief Lu Li, the Warrior Moonlight, the Paladin Mu Qiu and the Warlock Kitty Likes Meat.

On Sorrowless’s side, they had the Mage Sorrowless, the Priest White Westhill, the Thief Blood Dagger, the Warlock Demigod Asura and the Hunter Ethereal Wind— the same arrangement of four damage dealers and one healer.

After both sides re-entered the battlefield, a quick explanation left everyone’s attention focused on the teams on the stage. In his voice, filled with energy that was unexpected for someone his age, Dark Wind announced, “Ruling Sword has given up the arrangement which brought them their sweeping victory. March Rain has been subbed out.”

“March Rain is the pride and joy of female competitors and was also the most popular candidate for being a celebrity competitor this year. She’s been on every stage, but not this time,” Nine Phoenix commentated in surprise.

“Maybe the competitor had something to deal with and so she couldn’t make it,” Dark Wind guessed. Rather than believing that March Rain’s absence was because of a change in Ruling Sword’s tactics, they preferred to believe that March Rain wasn’t there for some other reason.

“There’s no suspense in this battle between Ruling Sword and Glory Capital with March Rain’s absence. White Westhill is a Priest while Innocent Child is a Druid. Although Innocent Child’s techniques are generally pretty much as good as White Westhill’s, because of their class, a priest’s healing is evidently more effective in a group battle.”

“I think the only way for Ruling Sword to win is to one shot White Westhill,” Dark Wind voiced his obvious thoughts. What he was saying was pretty pointless since anyone would know that if they killed White Westhill they would win. But was White Westhill really that easy to kill? It was clear without a doubt that White Westhill was the hardest Priest to kill in the whole game. His mind, movement, skills and equipment, as well as his extremely powerful teammates have allowed him to maintain a record of practically zero deaths in group competitions.

In many previous competitions, there were plenty of casualties in Glory Capital’s group battles. A lot of times, even Sorrowless was killed but White Westhill always managed to survive.

“The battle has already started so let’s wait and see what happens. Since Ruling Sword emerged, they’ve come out with a miracle again and again. This time, we have to believe that they can still keep up this mythical winning streak.” Nine Phoenix had a really good relationship with Water Fairy and the girls, so he was really supportive.

“Hmm, Lu Li and his team aren’t focusing their damage on White Westhill,” Dark Wind observed. He couldn’t understand what he was seeing.

It wasn’t only Ruling Sword who didn’t go for the healer, Glory Capital didn’t chase Innocent Child either. Innocent Child was a druid, so it was super hard to kill him too; it made sense they didn’t even attempt to kill him. But what was Ruling Sword thinking?

It was a mess.

Lu Li had tied down Sorrowless. He had decisively defeated Sorrowless on the arena, so this was naturally the move for him to make. However, with White Westhill at his side healing him every now and then, he basically had zero chances for him to wear down Sorrowless to death.

With a pair of big axes, Moonlight covered Demigod Asura and Ethereal Wind. They were just a Warlock and a Hunter that was easily pulled away and dealt with. Mu Qiu was the only one chasing White Westhill. At least he appeared to be the one who was making the right move.

Everyone had something to do, even Innocent Child who was jumping around randomly with no one attacking him. He mainly healed and shielded the HP of his teammates here and there.

The busiest player was Kitty Likes Meat. As the only Ruling Sword player with cloth armour, she naturally became the focus fire target for Glory Capital. This was no time for Glory Capital to hide their secret methods— they used all they had on her.

Everything was piled unto her, from healing reductions, speed reductions, silences, to disarming and disabling effects.

Such a cute and simple girl receiving such treatment was a bit difficult for the audience to watch. However, this didn’t change the dangerously decreasing HP of Kitty Likes Meat. If nothing unexpected happened, Innocent Child’s continuous healing magic spells were simply not enough to save Kitty Likes Meat’s life. Even if Moonlight protected her, it was no use.

At this time, in order to get out of the Ruling Sword competitor’s pace, they tried their hardest to kill Kitty Likes Meat in a short time. Glory Capital were being intentional with their skills.

They felt that as long as they could kill Kitty Likes Meat things would stabilize. As for why March Rain didn’t show up, they simply didn’t care, and they didn’t need to care.

Ruling Sword’s people weren’t purely focused on their own targets either. Occasionally, two or three of them would work together to focus on one unit, stopping the opponent from using their skills effectively.

According to the report that had been gathered up, Lu Li and his team pretty much knew who had hidden skills and methods. Players who had relatively more surprise attacks, who hadn’t used them at all and players who had methods that could block their plans were focused by Ruling Sword.

“Ah!” On the verge of death, Kitty Likes Meat suddenly gave out a sad, shrill cry.

All that could be seen was a black, enveloping fog around her. She had suddenly changed into a big, strong, two metre tall demon. This was a typical Warlock transformation that quite a few high-level Warlock players were able to do, however the results varied between players.

After the transformation, some would increase their attack, some would increase their defence and some would increase their HP.

Evidently, Kitty Likes Meat’s transformation increased her defence. Her originally dangerously decreasing HP had already slowed down. However, with the four damage outputs of Glory Capital working against her, they were still forcing her to her death.

The attacks from Glory Capital grew fiercer. They just needed another fifteen seconds or so to finish off this damned transformation.
