Chapter 652: Tranquility

The way that Remnant Dream later described it was that she looked quite elegant. Hachi Chan clasped her hands and went into a prayer position before the area around her started to rain.

Of course, this wasn’t a change in the environment – this was Healing Rain!

Seeing as the Boss had decided to use an area-wide skill, she decided to use her area-wide healing.

What was even more shocking was that this healing effect was even better than usual.

There was a general rule in Dawn stating that a single target skill was always better than an area of effect skill. For example, the Mage’s Blizzard didn’t deal as much damage to an individual target than a Frostbolt would.

This was supposed to be the same for healing, but Hachi Chan’s skill completely violated this rule.

Everyone was covered by this healing rain and significantly replenished, but the skill just kept on going.

It was Tranquility!

Lu Li almost blurted out the name, but he realized his mistake. This wasn’t Tranquility – Tranquility wasn’t this strong.

Tranquility – Channel, heals the lowest 5 (or 12 members for teams with over 10 players) players once every 2 seconds for 8 seconds. The Druid must continually channel their energy to maintain this skill.

This was the ordinary Tranquility. Lu Li was a Druid in his previous life, and although he wasn’t a healer, he hadn’t mistaken the attributes of this skill.

Tranquility was the Druid’s most powerful healing move, but it still followed Dawn’s rule. The four heals over eight seconds combined weren’t as strong as a normal heal. Moreover, in a team of 23 players, it could only heal 12 of them.

Hachi Chan’s Tranquility not only healed everyone, but also healed for more in each tick than a normal heal would. It was a wonderful sight.

The Boss had cast a powerful skill, but the players affected by it weren’t losing any HP at all.

This was a Fortified Tranquility!

Beyond the regular skills, there was also the Fortified skills. When an expert reached level 50-60, they would seek to replace their ordinary skills with Fortified Skills.

However, at this point, everyone was still struggling to get to level 40.

What was even more outrageous was that Hachi Chan possessed a Fortified version of an ultimate skill.

Lu Li was so powerful, but currently didn’t have a single Fortified skill. He knew how to obtain such Fortified skills, but they all required him to be at least level 45 or higher.

"What skill is that?" Azure Sea Breeze asked, unable to wait for the rain of fire to end.

"Fortified Tranquility. It’s strong, right? I’m not as weak as you thought, right?" Hachi Chan said triumphantly. She felt like she had saved the entire team from disaster.

The Xin Xin mercenary Group had maintained ten players for so long that there was some gossip about it in the guild.

Although the other players were highly skilled, Remnant Dream and Hachi Chan were always criticized as being ordinary. However, Remnant Dream’s lucky hands were known in and out of the guild, in addition to the fact that she was still quite young.

Hachi Chan was skilled at completing quests, but was quite useless when it came to Instance Dungeons.

When Lu Li gave her the task to heal everyone, she felt prompted to use her area-of-effect healing ability. There were actually three other healers who could use an area-of-effect heal, but none of them were as strong as her’s.

Lu Li was actually trying to protect her.

However, with this Fortified Tranquility, everyone was dumbfounded and this little girl could stand proud.

"Where did you get this skill?" This was what Lu Li was most curious about. Although he had experienced rebirth, it was inevitable that something like this would happen.

"It was a reward from the Moonlight Forest. I was the first Druid to get to the Moonlight Forest," Hachi Chan explained, then tilted her head and gestured, "There was a strange looking uncle there. His name was Re.... Re something."

"Remulos!" Lu Li said through clenched teeth.

Remulos was the Moonlight Forest’s Keeper of the Grove and the beloved son of Cenarius. He had huge antlers and a leafy mane, along with many supernatural abilities.

Lu Li had encountered him multiple times when trying to upgrade his Supreme Ring.

Damn that person!

He was the one who was the first to visit the Moonlight Forest, but he wasn’t given anything because he wasn’t a Druid.

Hachi Chan’s luck was so good. Her reward had played a vital role for the whole team, and Lu Li couldn’t help but envy her a little.

"Yeah, it was Remulos. I helped him quite a bit; it’s been a tiring few days," Hachi Chan said sadly.

To rub extra salt into the wound, she declared as a matter of fact that the NPC had given her tasks that lasted over several days. This was definitely the effect of being the System’s daughter.

Maybe God was just being fair, giving the naïve Hachi Chan a way of keeping up.

Even if her technique wasn’t as good, the Xin Xin Mercenary Group would still be strong enough with this skill. Moreover, their technique only looked bad in comparison to someone like Azure Sea Breeze. When compared with regular players, they were actually little experts in their own right.

After being with Lu Li and the others for so long, Remnant Dream and Hachi Chan had made leaps and bounds in terms of progress.

"Well done," Lu Li complemented her.

The Doomguard’s skill had been defeated by Tranquility, but it wasn’t over yet. They had to learn from this experience and be more cautious for next time.

There was no reason to think there wouldn’t be another powerful skill after this one.

When the Boss’ HP had dropped lower than 30%, it casted the rain of fire again. However, Tranquility was still on cooldown, so they had to rely on the other healers to maintain the team’s HP.

Unfortunately, poor Zaza and Nuo Yu were burned to death by the fire.

Hunters had few damage reduction skills. Mages had quite a few, but Fire Mage had less survivability than Ice mages.

Lu Li hesitated for a second, but decided not to try and save them.

The two of them were damage output players anyway. If there was a Main Tank or a Healer that died and they didn’t have a Resurrect, there would be trouble. Lu Li was the only person left with a Resurrect as Hachi Chan’s was still on cooldown.

After losing two of their damage output players, the decrease in speed when killing the Boss was noticeable.

The Doomguard Boss still had a third of its HP, and was more frequently using Demonic Storm and Rain of Fire. The healers’ MP was beginning to become a little stretched.
