Dark Destroyer: "I heard Elevenless got wrecked in arena."
Raging City: "Haha, we were just talking about that. Good timing, brother Destroyer. There’s a video on the forums; what are your thoughts as a fellow Warrior?"
Dark Destroyer: "I’ll go watch it now."
Deadly Golden Underwear: "Elevenless, looks like it’s karma. The heavens must’ve sent an angel to avenge for my loss."
Hornet’s Nest: "Underwear, why did you bring up the time you lost to him? We’d completely forgotten about that."
Deadly Golden Underwear: "I’ve only lost to him once and we’ve never rematched because Elevenless is too scared."
Hornet’s Nest: "Let’s not talk about you guys anymore. So, does anyone know who the mysterious player is? I’ve watched the video and I can’t out figure his playstyle. He doesn’t seem to be a very flashy player."
Old Man Power: "@Blood Dagger, @Lu Li, @A Straw in the Wind, @Floral Paralysis, @Water Fairy, @Song of Sorrow, @Wood Fearing, @Midnight Ghost, which one of you Thieves was the one that defeated Elevenless? It’s not good to bully someone underaged.
Songs of Sorrow: "Not me."
Midnight Ghost: "Wasn’t me either."
Floral Paralysis: "I wish it was me."
Blood Dagger: "I never wear a mask."
A Straw in the Wind: "Godamn, I was in a dungeon. You almost killed me."
Water Fairy: "Lu Li."
Unforgettable Maple: "Well, if Water Fairy says it’s Lu Li then it has to be Lu Li. This guy likes to be mysterious all the time and thinks no one can recognize him if he hides his face."
Swirling Left Eye: "Disgusting couple."
Hornet’s Nest: "Swirling Left Eye, keep talking and I’ll kill you out of the chat. The Imperial Secret Service might not even make the top 100 next year, so maybe you should shut up. Little sister Water managed to recognize Lu Li because she’s talented. Stop looking at them like a scandalous couple...."
Water Fairy: "Hornet’s Nest, do you want to die?"
Hornet’s Nest: "Cough... I was trying to be nice and stand on your side. Whatever, let’s get back on topic. @Lu Li, @Elevenless, what are you guys doing? Come out and talk."
Elevenless: "We’re getting a drink together."
Lu Li: "We’re drinking right now."
Unforgettable Maple: "Oh, let’s drink together. Such a beautiful love-hate relationship – one minute they’re trying to kill each other on the arena, the next moment they’re having a drink together."
Elevenless: "Don’t think I won’t kill you just because you’re older."
Unforgettable Maple: "I’ll only 28, little bro."
Elevenless: "I’m 18 years old, and I’m also 198cm.
Unforgettable Maple: "Whatever, I’m busy, so I’ll get going."
Hornet’s Nest: "Don’t leave. What’s your room number Lu Li? Fight me in the arena; everyone put down their bets."
Lu Li: "Tired..."
Hornet’s Nest: "I only challenged you because I knew you were too tired."
Water Fairy: "Hornet’s Nest, let’s fight each other first."
Hornet’s Nest: "Can you calm down? Why are you so eager to fight me?"
Water Fairy: "How long do you think you get to live after insulting me?"
Hornet’s Nest: "/(T o T)/~~ Please older sister, forgive me.
At the end of the day, no one else challenged Lu Li again. Some players might have came across his arena room, but saw that he had played more than a hundred matches today and defeated Elevenless as well, so they decided give him a break.
The professional players knew not to strike others while they were down.
As for the scumbags like Swirling Left Eye and Staring Right Eye, even if they wanted to, they wouldn’t be able to do anything to Lu Li. Even though he was exhausted, he would easily handle the two of them without any problems. After their past interactions, the two from the Imperial Secret Service knew not to mess with him anymore.
After a couple of drinks, Elevenless and Lu Li both left to do their own thing.
Lu Li played a few more arena matches and changed the settings on his room.
Everyone realized that the room that had soared to the No.9 place on the rankings had become a 2v2 room.
There were two noobs that didn’t know any better and challenged Lu Li. They were promptly teleported into the arena. These two players were called Wild Dragon and I’m still Violent; they were both Mages and were ranked 22nd on the leaderboard.
There were all sorts of weird and unique team compositions in arena – even a double Mage comp could reach rank 22.
The two of them were friends from the same class, so they didn’t care about composition. The only thing that they cared about was having fun.
When they entered, they realized that there was only one Thief in the room.
"Hey, where’s your teammate?" I’m still Violent asked.
"I don’t have one; let’s start. Two against one," Lu Li said as he readied up and went into Stealth.
Wild Dragon and I’m still Violent looked at each other and saw the anger in each other’s eyes. Although they weren’t considered professional players, how could someone look down on them so much?!
The two furious Mages played even worse than they usually would. The first Mage was Sapped and crowd-controlled, while the other was instantly killed by a single rotation.
Lu Li looked at the two corpses in his arena room and calmly prepared himself for the next fight.
He had been in situations where he had to fight against two players many times. Based on the skill levels of those Mages, Lu Li predicted that he could probably take down five of them by himself with no problems.
The second team consisted of a Warrior and an Offheal Paladin. Even though he was much better-geared and more mechanically skilled than them, it would still be hard for him because of their team comp.
Fortunately, they were casual players and Lu Li was able to find an opening to instantly kill the Paladin, making the rest of the fight a piece of cake.
After this, Lu Li continued to fight a couple more duos and easily defeated them all. Although they weren’t exactly expert players, he was still able to learn and understand how classes worked together.
He quickly learned what skills combos to use against certain classes and developed the strategies that he could use against them.
After more than ten or so battles, Lu Li rested for an hour and changed the settings on his room again.
This time, it was a 3v3 room.
The spectators gasped when they saw this and thought that Lu Li was being too cocky. The majority of people thought that he would experience his first loss when he changed the room to 2v2.
However, he had still yet to lose. What was even more surprising was that he had changed the room to a 3v3 room, which meant that he was about to go up against three players by himself.
Although this had been done before by other arena experts, they often lost more than they won.
However, the spectators had already labelled him as the undefeatable arena god.
The first team that entered was the classic Thief, Mage and Priest team comp, which was considered to be the best in the meta right now. Most teams that maintained an above-50% win rate used this particular team comp.
