In fact, Cursed Celebras wasn’t actually difficult to kill. After all, it was the first Boss of the Instance Dungeon. The only potential it had to wipe their entire team was with that skill.
"I think you should loot it," Lu Li said to Water Fairy.
Although Water Fairy wasn’t particularly lucky, she was much better than the others. At least she had managed to obtain the ’Ritual of Summoning’ skill book.
"Alright, but don’t attack me if I don’t get anything good," Water Fairy said with a grin.
Deep Watersong was a little shocked. Drizzle Court’s eldest sister had always acted like a cold, unfeeling queen, but here she was, casually joking around.
Attack her?
Who would dare to lay a finger on her? There were hundreds of thousands of Drizzle Court players who would give up their lives for her.
Water Fairy knelt in front of the Boss and looted a dagger. The first item turned out to be exactly an item that she needed.
The Claws of Celebras were a weapon used by Thieves and were Gold grade with acceptable Attributes. They were decent for a level 40 weapon and would outperform the spare that Lu Li was using.
However, Lu Li didn’t bother competing for it.
There were better weapons out there, so why bother?
Water Fairy gave up on competing for it as well; she didn’t care for the special effect of the weapon.
As such, Cain’s Left Hand successfully received the first equip that they had acquired today. He promptly replaced the dagger that he was currently using. Although he was trying very hard to remain calm, it was clear that he was happy about it.
The next item was the Keeper of the Grover Cloak. It added a lot of Constitution and Defence and so was given to Deep Watersong.
Hachi Chan’s equipment was already disorganized enough, so if she was given Main Tank equipment, it would be even worse.
There also a material called Wind Guard that looked like a green eye. Lu Li knew that this was a raw material for magic equipment, but its value wasn’t that high.
After looting three items, Water Fairy suddenly screamed.
Lu Li turned his head and saw that Water Fairy was running towards him at breakneck speed.
He couldn’t help but be amazed at the speed she was moving at – he probably couldn’t go that fast even after activating his effects. No wonder why there were some that insisted on the potential value of this game.
When a player was completely emotionally invested, they could do more than their character allowed.
Of course, what mattered most now was what had happened. Water Fairy frightenedly pointed at Cursed Celebras’ body and trembled as she shrieked, "It’s moving!"
Lu Li had almost forgotten about this.
"He actually isn’t dead. We didn’t actually completely clear his HP; he fell on his last drop of HP. Remulos gave him immortality and although it isn’t absolute, there’s nothing we can do about it as adventurers," Lu Li explained.
"You seem to be quite knowledgeable," Celebras said as he slowly got onto his feet.
"What do we do?" Water Fairy was a little embarrassed; she had just made a fool of herself. At this point, she was quite eager to stab Celebras in revenge.
However, the fact was that she was still a girl. When she saw the body move, it would have been even more surprising if she didn’t react.
"Don’t worry – Celebras isn’t an enemy right now," Lu Li said while holding out the ring on his hand. "He’ll even help us find Earth Princess Theradras, right?"
"Ancestor on high," Celebras affirmed as he lowered his head.
Celebras’ face was very serious; he probably wouldn’t be this serious even if his father was around.
It was the Legendary Supreme Double Ring!
Most players knew about the Supreme Ring because of Malfurion. It was a ring that symbolized the Archdruid’s identity and was probably the only thing that physically demonstrated his status.
Some players claimed Malfurion had only become an Archdruid because of this ring. After this, he was considered to be the symbol for Druids and the King of the Night Elves, then married Tyrande...
With that being said, what was important was that there was another ring.
It was a ring that no one could take from Malfurion, yet the Supreme Double Ring was currently unaccounted for.
In fact, Celebras just had a chance encounter. One day, he managed to find his grandfather’s ring, and suddenly became one of the strongest beings in Azeroth.
He had set out when he was quite young, though at the time, he wasn’t just trying his luck.
Lu Li didn’t expect to see this ring here today, but there it was, plain and unadorned. Celebras’ eyes were clearly focused on it.
"Celebras... Celebras..."
There seemed to be a call in the distance that finally woke him up. Celebras took a long breath before exhaling slowly, then looked up and said, "I’m happy to help you, but my Scepter has been destroyed. Its strength will allow you travel through these caves freely..."
"How can we help you repair the Scepter?" Lu Li asked.
"Noxxion took away the staff and the jewel has fallen into the hands of Vyletongue. The former is a Water Elemental and the latter is a Satyr. With your Strength you should be able to defeat them. Go, and hopefully, you will bring back good news."
Without waiting for Lu Li and the others to respond, Celebras turned and disappeared into the void.
"How can we find you?" Lu Li asked. He was a little anxious as this was different from the strategy he knew.
In the guide he had read, there was no indication that Celebras would leave. He was supposed to stay here and wait for the player to pick up the two parts of the scepter. He would then fix the scepter and give the player some EXP.
"When you get the items I need, I will appear."
This voice had come from nowhere and had a hint of sadness to it. He wasn’t like an NPC at all, let alone an Instance Dungeon Boss, with the emotion that he was showing. Was there was a hidden story here? Lu Li was confused.
Without any way to find out more, the group of players just kept pushing onward.
This section was of the road was even more dangerous, mainly due to the fact that there were patrols everywhere. Their pathing wasn’t consistent and when they were alerted, they would call for backup.
Lu Li and the others had to be careful, because it was too time-consuming to clear all of these monsters.
