Chapter 855 Trouble from Outsiders

Chapter 855 Trouble from Outsiders

The captain was a Warrior and immediately used Charge. He most likely had a special effect on his equipment that increased the range of his Charge. Even though March Rain was very far away, he was still able to catch up to her.

At the same time, his teammates followed up on their captain.

Three Warriors, four Mages, two Warlocks, two Paladins, two Priests, a Shaman, two Druids, two Thieves and two Hunters – Lu Li had already familiarized himself with their team composition.

"Azure!" Lu Li yelled.

When Azure Sea Breeze used Shadowmeld, the Boss immediately aggroed onto March Rain and began running towards her. It found itself in between March Rain and the enemy Warriors that were Charging over.

The Boss was hit!

Charge wasn’t a skill that took aggro; it was a crowd-control skill.

However, the Experience Reindeer was different to other Wild Bosses that were immune to crowd-control effects. The Reindeer became Stunned and the aggro was switched onto the enemy Warriors.

Lu Li and his teammates had not been using crowd control skills because they were afraid of stealing the aggro off the Main Tank.

The Reindeer was now on critical HP and rammed its antlers straight into the captain, immediately taking out a large chunk of his HP.

He wasn’t a tank at all and even if he was, his equipment would be worthless compared to Azure Sea Breeze’s.

If Azure needed to activate his defensive skills against the Boss, then there was no question that the enemy captain would lose more than half of his HP from a single hit.

"Heal!" the captain screamed like a little girl, begging his healers to keep him alive.

There were multiple Priests on the team and they immediately healed the Warrior back to full HP.

Stealth, Ambush! The first healer was crowd-controlled.

Gouge! Another healer was crowd-controlled.

Blind! A third healer was crowd-controlled.

Lu Li wasn’t able to crowd-control all of their healers, but Moonlight ran around, Stunning all of them in a row.

The captain was now vulnerable to the Boss’ attacks. Although he was able to tank the second hit, it would be impossible for him to survive any longer.

Their Main Tank immediately casted Taunt and successfully pulled aggro, but he was too late and couldn’t save his own captain.

The Boss began casting AOE skills and continued attacking relentlessly.

The team captain was dead! Who would the Boss aggro onto?

Obviously, it aggroed onto the Main Tank that casted Taunt.

The poor Main Tank had not only failed at saving his team leader, but was now the one who was in trouble. Though he was a tank, it was clear that his gear wasn’t up to standard with Azure Sea Breeze and he too took a beating from the EXP Reindeer. The healers were still stunned and couldn’t do anything to keep their Main Tank alive.

When the stun duration timed out, they were focused on keeping both themselves and the Main Tank alive, buying some time so that they weren’t instantly wiped out.

Instead of focusing on the backline, Lu Li decided to attack the Main Tank as well.

Eventually, the Main Tank was killed and there was nothing that the healers could do.

After he was killed, the Boss aggroed onto the healers and immediately pounced on them. They could only watch as the Lv45 EXP Reindeer stampeded in their direction.

Lu Li let out an evil laugh and signaled his team to attack the enemy DPS classes.

It was unwise to underestimate Xin Xin Mercenary based on numbers alone. Each and every member in the team were some of the best players in the game. Even Remnant Dream and Hachi Chan were formidable in their own way. Because of the gear that they were wearing, average players dealt laughable damage to them, while they were able to retaliate like cannons.

Players like Hachi Chan were able to burst their target so quickly that they wouldn’t even realize what had killed them.

Those that attempted to attack Azure Sea Breeze would all ask the same question: "Is this Main Tank even human!?"

Sakura Memory might not have been the strongest Shaman in Ruling Sword, but compared to a group of average players, she was like a fierce lioness. Her mechanics and game sense were extraordinary and completely dominated the enemy Shaman and Druid.

As for Moonlight and Lu Li, they required no further explanation.

The team of twenty or so players were all killed, leaving behind a field of corpses and drops. They had all died before they were even able to react in time. Weren’t they the ones that were supposed to attack Ruling Sword with the help of the Boss?

The EXP Reindeer regenerated some HP while the Xin Xin Mercenary Group finished off their enemies. However, under their relentless and focused attacks, it stood no chance.

The EXP Reindeer already offered a lot of EXP when killed to begin with. In conjunction with the double EXP event, Lu Li and the others watched on in glee as their EXP bars filled up. It was mesmerizing and almost surreal.

Unfortunately, the EXP had been shared between ten players. Otherwise...

"Everyone clean up the loot, then spread out to find our next suitable target," Lu Li said as he picked up a rare material from the ground, transformed into a crow and flew away.

He was able to see more clearly in the sky and found his next target in no time.

They only focused on Lv40 to Lv45 EXP reindeer, as each kill gave them a considerable amount of EXP. Those that focused mainly on the EXP Reindeer would gain the most out of this event. Lu Li knew this based on his experiences in his past life and made sure to steer his team onto the right direction.

Instead of closing the gap, the elite players in Ruling Sword advanced even further than the other players. However, the gaming company did not do anything to prevent this.

They didn’t believe that Ruling Swords abused the System; their goal was to even out the playing field of the upcoming tournament.

This had been achieved as the other teams were able to gain an EXP boost. As long as the other guilds reached Lv45, they would all be wearing equipment of the same tier.

Ruling Sword had crushed their competition in the current tournaments without any trouble and maintained their reputation as one of the strongest guilds in the game.

"Might as well give up if you’re up against Ruling Sword!"
