87  Chapter 87- Fulfilling the Requirements

Well, the reason Yang Chen chose this battle skill, was because depending on the wish of the user, the output of the flames can be controlled. It can be as strong as hellfire or as mild as a candle flame.

Additionally, this was one of the few battle skills that cost him more than its range. On average, a battle skill of High Tier Sky Grade would be around twenty five to thirty thousand mischief points.

However, the [Great Napalm Command] cost him more than thirty eight thousand mischief points. Yang Chen felt a pain in his heart when he saw his total mischief points go down by 38,000.

After deducting the cost of that battle skill the total mischief points he had was little over 145,000 points.

As he had thought, he need to find more ways of earning mischief points or at the very least find ways to reduce his expenses. Learning Alchemy might be one of them.

Anyways, the skill materialised in his character sheet under the category of battle skills. Now with the addition of the fire attribute battle skill, the number of battle skills he had learned was twenty three.

Additionally, due to all of them being Sky Grade and above, the completion rate of all of his skills was around the beginner stage. Well if he used the aid of Endeavour pill and other medical items from the shop, he might be able to increase their completion rate faster.

However, doing so would not only increase his expenses, but would also be a waste since he was no longer inside the star fall jungle and cannot just practice his battle skills anywhere.

Of course, skills such as [Traceless Shadow Advent] which are Stealth type skills are an exception since he did not need a large space to use them.

Now that he had learned a flame attribute battle skill, he had completed one of the requirements. The second requirement to practice Alchemy was to possess a cauldron. It was one of the most important requirements.

According to the knowledge that he acquired from the Great Sage Emperor's diary, a good cauldron could increase the chances of successfully refining a pill, by a large amount. Also, they come in many grades.

A low grade medicinal cauldron is the cheapest and one could buy it from a shop or auction. Refining anything above a tier 2 pill in a low grade cauldron possess a great risk of failure and could even destroy the cauldron itself. The entry level alchemist generally use low grade cauldrons.

Above a low grade is a medium grade, cauldrons made of this grade can be purchased from shops and auctions. However, they are much rarer and costly. Intermediate level Alchemists usually use these cauldrons when they are unable to find a high grade one.

As mentioned earlier, above a medium grade is the high grade. Cauldrons of such tier are very rare and hardly a few could be seen being sold in big auctions.

Above high grade is superior grade, cauldrons of these tiers are the best ones for refining pills. They have a high rate of success when refining pills and are made of unique materials that make them extremely tough to destroy.

Not even a pill above tier seven can destroy it. One would be fortunate to come across a cauldron like that in an auction. Generally, they do not appear in the market. Most of them are already hoarded by Senior Alchemists or are stored in the treasury of some big sects.

If Yang Chen was any other person he would have to run into numerous auction houses and search for a medicinal cauldron all around and even then, the most he would be able to get his hands on would be a low grade one.

But just like always, the Greedvil system came to his rescue. There was a dedicated section in the shop where he could buy cauldrons of any grade, even the superior grade ones that are super duper rare, were not an exception.

Nevertheless, there was no reason for Yang Chen to buy one because he already had one.

"If I remember correctly, I saw something that resembled a medicinal cauldron inside the ring" he recalled. His consciousness quickly submerged inside the space within his ring and he pulled out something.

It had an almost spherical surface just like a pot, was solid black in colour and had numerous markings and illustrations of demons on its body. There was a unique mysterious air about the cauldron.

As Yang Chen stared at the thing that appeared in front of him, he saw a black miasma in the shape of hands come out of the cauldron. The vision was sudden and disappeared as soon as it appeared.

"What was that?" Yang Chen wondered. He looked at the jet black cauldron once again; however, nothing unusual happened.

Attributing the thing that he saw as one of the mysteries of the cauldron, Yang Chen proceeded to inspect it. It was a very good cauldron, although he wasn't an expert in judging the quality of a cauldron, he somewhat believed that it was at least of a high grade or above.

That is, he was basing this on the rarity of things that he found inside the ring. The old man it belonged to, was definitely not an ordinary person and there were many items in the ring like the spear that was filled with mysterious powers.

If so, it wouldn't be wrong of him to believe that the cauldron might even be of a superior grade. Currently, Yang Chen had no way to find out.

Well, in any case, now he had a cauldron to practice with. The next requirement to practice alchemy was to gather ingredients.

Ingredients refer to the herbs, roots, plants and other materials that are the natural resource of this world, they grow after absorbing sufficient battle energy from the environment.

To refine a pill one needed appropriate ingredients and materials. Each pill has its own sets of required ingredients and unique way of refining that has been researched and perfected by alchemists over the years.

Hence if any one of them is missing, the pill wouldn't form. If you like the novel.. throw some power stones and Golden Tickets towards this way... Much Appreciated.
