The Greatest Sinner

Chapter 280 - Legendary

Chapter 280 - Legendary

When the energy dissipated, Evan immediately used Mammon's Gaze to look at the changes that had happened to the Righteous Punisher. His eye changed its color to gold, and a wealth of information about the altered weapon appeared in front of him. Evan was shocked to see it.

[Magma Blood

Rank - 2

Rarity - Legendary]

[This weapon was created due to a strange mixture of devastated mana crystals, Righteous Punisher and a large amount of unknown energy. Magma Blood is a weapon that only the most skilled smith of the second rank could create. The blade of this scythe is capable of slicing apart any second-ranked monster, with few exceptions.

The more blood that falls on the blade, the hotter it will become. Over time it will glow to unbelievable temperatures, and with a mere swing, it can melt a large boulder. Thanks to a special property derived from mana crystals, this weapon can accumulate mana and release it at once. The more mana will be accumulated, the stronger will be - Magma Wave. This skill can only be used when the blade is red-hot]

It was the first 5-star quality item Evan had seen in his life. Moreover, Magma Blood was no longer a sword and scythe but just a scythe. The reason was that the Righteous Punisher was in scythe form during the transformation.

The mechanism has completely changed, and the two blades have merged together and changed their structure. The blade became longer and more pointed. A true master could burn down an entire forest with just a few swings of such a weapon. Now, in combat, Evan has turned into a demon from hell, hungry for as much blood as his enemies as possible.

Evan took the weapon in his hands and felt a great rush of strength. It was the first time he had ever used such concentrated mana to use a second-ranked item.

"Not bad, not bad, this is very different from the One-Pointed Star stage. With a weapon like this and no problem, I can handle the members of the Tear of Light. It won't be a battle, but a warm-up for me and a nightmare for them. Good thing the battle will take place in the caves. I wouldn't want to burn the whole forest and draw attention." Proclaimed Evan looking at Magma Blood.

Reykar was also a very formidable creature. He was a triple evolved monster of the second rank. In power, Reykar was equal to several mages at the Two-Pointed Star stage.

<By the way, I got a new skill, but I feel like I can use it right here and now. It's a little weird. Last times I had to train for a long time>. Thought Evan and his Warp spun.

He cast Raven's Gaze, and the next moment he saw himself.

"What?" Evan didn't understand what was happening, but then he realized that Reykar was standing against him.

By casting this spell, Evan could see through Reykar's eyes. It was a strange and unique spell. Evan had never heard of anything like it before.

Raven's Gaze was not a combat spell, but that didn't mean it was useless. With this spell, Evan could scout areas safely.

Not every mage or creature would want to attack a triple-evolved, second-ranked monster flying past.

<Hmm, I wonder if Reykar got the same ability? Or is his ability completely different?>

The first ability Evan got from his alliance with Reykar was almost the same as Reykar's. The second ability was slightly different but somewhat similar. For some reason, Evan thought the third ability would be completely different.

"Okay, time to go. Stone Seeds is pretty far away. According to Dorlus, the symbiosis between the Stone Lily and the Golems will soon come to an end. I have to leave now."

Unfortunately, Evan could not use Reykar as a sledding animal. Reykar became much bigger, he was just over one meter tall, but it wasn't enough to get around on him. Evan would have to wait until Reykar became even stronger and evolved once more.

Reykar returned to Evan's Nirvana. Evan headed to Darkfil and went to the store, and rented a riding beast. There was no other way he would get to Stone Seeds quickly.

Evan didn't pay as much as he did for the Basilisk, as this was a beast he only rented for a week. It was a big bird, a fairly common but reliable riding beast. But Evan wouldn't fly it out of Darkfil. It would be too suspicious.

He headed for the abandoned tower and, from there, flew toward Stone Seeds. Evan had to get the Meteor Glass to pay Dorlus for his service. But, he also had to kill all the members of the Tear of Light who would be there. Evan couldn't show Dorlus what the Righteous Punisher had become, but he didn't have to. If he brought Dorlus fifteen heads to the mage of the Tear of Light, he would just silently keep the weapon.

Evan had a lot to look forward to in the upcoming battle. He had already seen members of the Demonic Tree and even one of its powerful mages. The Tears of Light were the strongest light organization, and Evan expected a lot from them. Moreover, he remembered Rave's words that the Tears of Light had spells with divine energy. Evan was curious to see the weapons that the Tears of Light use to counter the Seven Princes of Hell that use Demonic Tree.

As Evan flew to his destination, he reflected on the fact that he was unable to choose second-level spells due to time constraints.

<I barely made the breakthrough in time for the right day, but it could take weeks to pick and learn a few second level spells. I'll have to fight with the old spells. However, thanks to my alliance with Reykar, I have two second level spells. Moreover, I am many times stronger than I was a few days ago. Perhaps I should use a powerful demon sigil and finish everything in a few attacks.>

...

A few days later, Evan arrived in the right place. Stone Seeds, like most caves, was under a mountain, but the entrance was in a very different place.

Evan looked at the ice-covered lake and muttered to himself, "Why is the entrance underwater? It's incredibly cold in here."

Shaking his head and realizing he had no other options, Evan kicked the thick layer of ice with force.
