Chapter 1998

The traffic enforcer stood before Lyla and scolded, "You're a girl. How can you behave like that? I'm ashamed for you for hitting and yelling at him like that!"

Lyla's heart instantly filled with anger.

She could forget that the onlookers criticized her and Sean.

However, she was upset that the traffic enforcer took the man's side once he arrived.

"How are you qualified to be a traffic enforcer? Is this how traffic enforcers judge right from wrong? Did you see us hit him? Why did you say we hit him?"

"Why did you park your car here if you didn't hit him?"

The traffic enforcer said immediately.

Hearing that, Lyla lost her temper and shouted, "We hit him just because we parked here? Are you blind? Can't you check the surveillance footage?"

"I'll give you a first warning. If you insult me again, I won't go easy on you!"

The traffic enforcer scolded as he touched the stun baton at his waist.

Lyla wanted to add something, but Sean grabbed her wrist and pulled her behind him.

Sean looked at the traffic enforcer and said, "Sir, you didn't see us hit him either, so who are you to say we hit him? This guy staged the accident, and a few people in the crowd are his accomplices."

Sean said, pointing his hand at some young men in the crowd.

These young men were the "fake audience" who initially screamed at Sean and Lyla about hitting the man.

The traffic enforcer looked suspiciously at Sean and said in disbelief, "Drunk people always say they're not drunk. People who have hit others always said they didn't do it too...

Whatever it is, come with me first."

"Why should we go with you? Is this how you enforce the law? We're the victims!"

Lyla said, patting her chest.

"Ha, are there victims who are as aggressive as you?" the traffic enforcer said with a sneer.

"What does being a victim and being aggressive have to do with each other? Why can't we be aggressive when we're not the one who did wrong?" Lyla said without backing down.

The traffic enforcer took his stun baton out with a swoosh and said, "I'm warning you for the second time. If you talk like that again, I'm going to attack!"

Lyla was so angry that her hands shook.

Sean took out his phone and made a call.

"It doesn't matter who you call. Come with me immediately.

Now!"

The traffic enforcer said, pointing his stun baton at Sean.

However, Sean ignored him.

After the call, Sean put the phone away and said, "Sir, since you're law enforcement, I'll give you a chance to apologize."

The traffic enforcer burst into laughter at Sean's remark.

"How dare you threaten me? You have the nerve!"

Scarface, who was lying on the ground, also laughed. "Did you see that? This guy isn't even scared to threaten you.

What else will he do?"

The surrounding crowd of onlookers immediately nodded and looked disdainfully at Sean and Lyla.

Just then, two police cars approached from afar.

The shrill siren startled everyone, and the traffic enforcer's expression changed.

It was because no one expected Sean to call the police!

The police car stopped, and four police officers got out. They were led by none other than the chief of police, Gabe!

"You got here fast."

Sean looked at Gabe and said with a smile.

Within three minutes of the phone call, Gabe arrived at a speed that could be described as lightning- fast.
