Chapter 383: The Grave News
Chapter 383: The Grave News
"So you are a friend from Northern Trance. How is your patriarch doing? I hadn't visited him for a long time." Dan muttered with a kind look. His face wrinkled as he smiled.
Kenneth smiled back in response. "Thank you for your kind words. The patriarch is doing well, Sir Dan."
"I see. That's good. Once this battle is over, I'll head to Northern Trance and thank everyone in person." Dan Abaveron was grateful for their support. Without them, Warmridge would have trouble fending off the rebel forces. Not to mention that there was still another looming danger outside their territory.
Kenneth didn't say anything and just nodded his head.
"How is Sir Jusuf's condition?" Charles asked while looking at the pale-faced man on the bed. The man's body was covered in bandages and his left arm was also severed. Charles could also sense the internal bleeding in the man's body. If it was another person, he would have already died from this injury.
Fortunately, Jusuf Abaveron was a Nascent Soul Esper so his physical constitution was better than the average Esper.
"As you can see, he had lost his left arm which is also his dominant arm. We are lucky enough that we managed to save him in time or his condition might have been worse. Even with a superior healing medicine, it will take some time before he can regrow his arm." Dan Abaveron sighed while shaking his head. No one expected an almighty Nascent Soul Esper to fall under the rebel army's scheme.
With Jusuf critically injured, the Abaveron Family lost almost half of their fighting power. That was how valuable he was to the household.
Hearing this, the faces of Kenneth and Charles turned grave.
At this moment, they suddenly heard a commotion outside the clinic.
Dan Abaveron called someone to ask what was happening and the response he got made everyone's expression more serious.
"Sir, according to our informants, the army of the Saintfort Household was ambushed by the Coleman Household and the Rabimbert Household! The two Nascent Soul Espers of the Saintfort Household died in battle and their heads are now being displayed in the gates of Geros District!"
"What did you say?!"
The messenger's face contorted under the immense pressure boring down on him. He wanted to say something, but he couldn't even open his mouth. He could only stare at the three Nascent Soul Espers with a pale face.
Kenneth immediately canceled out the aura, relieving the messenger from the immense pressure. "Can you tell us what happened in more detail?"
"Yes, sir!" The messenger proceeded to tell them about the information sent to them.
According to his statement, Saintfort Household was preparing to reclaim another district. They even mobilized their full force to destroy the rebel forces stationed in Geros District. Unfortunately, they failed to discover the hidden ambush prepared by the Coleman Household and the Ravimbert Household.
The Ravimbert Household also has two Nascent Soul Espers, but the Coleman Household surprisingly sent four Nascent Soul Espers! Their overwhelming advantage led to the destruction of the Saintfort Household. Not even one of their soldiers was spared. It was a tragedy.
"Those bastards!" Charles' eyes were burning with fury.
"We can't afford to waste time anymore. We have to eliminate them before the beast army launches their attack on Warmridge! If we face two enemies at once, the city might fall. We can't let that happen." Dan Abaveron stood up. A trace of rage could be felt in his narrowed eyes.
Kenneth and Charles nodded in agreement.
"I'll go and call the patriarch of the Silverton Family. We need to gather all our armies and launch our final assault against the rebel army. You two should head back and have your army ready for battle." Dan muttered in a cold voice.
"Yes, sir!"

Aethelwolf was playing with his daughters when he sensed that his communication device was vibrating. "You two stay here for a while. Papa needs to answer this call."
"Okay."
"Okay."
Aethelwolf stood up and put up a silencing rune around to prevent someone from eavesdropping.
"Sir Aethelwolf, the situation is getting worse here! According to the rumors circulating the army, one of the major families in Warmridge, the Saintfort Family, has fallen! All of their soldiers died with not a single person spared! Even their two Nascent Soul Espers were killed!"
Aethelwolf's face turned grave upon hearing this. He had underestimated the power of the rebel army. They managed to destroy one of the major families in Warmridge!
William didn't stop there. "At this moment, the leaders of the Silverton Family, the Abaveron Family, and the Featherkind Family are going to launch a final attack against the rebel army. There is still no information on when the collective army will attack, but I will inform you as soon as I hear from them."
"Alright. Keep me updated." Aethelwolf ended the call after that.
He kept his communication device and looked at his two daughters who were blissfully unaware about what was happening. He didn't want them to go through the same tragedy that happened in the Regalis Continent. 'I hope everything will go smoothly.' He thought to himself.
He no longer had the mood to play with his daughters so he asked Anselm to play with them. He then headed to his study and called the patriarch of the Suliman Family. By now, he should have also heard about the news.

Inside the study of Arnold Suliman. He noticed his communication device vibrating so he immediately answered the call.
"Sir Arnold, I believe you are already aware of the destruction of the Saintfort Family." It was Aethelwolf.
He was not surprised that Aethelwolf knew about this matter since he was informed that Aethelwolf sent some of his men to join the reinforcement army.
"Mn… I just heard of it from my subordinates." He answered.
"I think we should send more troops to Warmridge. I'm afraid that the beast army will attack soon."
Hearing this, Arnold furrowed his eyebrows.
