Chapter 391: Scaring the Nascent Soul Beasts
Chapter 391: Scaring the Nascent Soul Beasts
The distance between them was only ten meters. With their power and enhanced physical abilities, they could clearly see each other's faces.
Kazak narrowed his eyes. This human was strangely calm even in front of four Nascent Soul savage beasts. He even intentionally released a fraction of his peak Nascent Soul aura to scare off the human, but he showed no reaction whatsoever. 'Who is this guy? I don't remember someone like this in the information provided by the old man from the Coleman Family.'
"Hey! Who are you?! Do you even know who we are?!" Argent's annoying voice echoed into their ears.
If it was any other time, Kazak would have stopped Argent, but he wanted to see how the human would respond to this.
The observant Gargan and Serene also noticed this so they decided to keep quiet and let Argent do as he pleased.
Aethelwolf turned his gaze to Argent. With one glance, he could tell what kind of savage beast this guy was. His vision had been enhanced countless times after assimilating different kinds of perception skills so even if they changed into human form, he could identify them at a glance. "Who is this little lion?"
"Did he just call me little lion?" Argent's face twitched upon hearing his words, while the trio behind him smirked.
"Little lion, did no one teach you manners before? When people are speaking, you shouldn't butt in." Aethelwolf spoke as if he was scolding a child.
This made Argent feel embarrassed and angry. "You f*ck*ng bastard! I'll kill you!" He bared his fangs and swiped his right arm which had transformed into a huge lion claw, tearing its way towards Aethelwolf.
Seeing this, Aethelwolf remained indifferent. He casually lifted his arm and stopped the gigantic claw with two fingers. The force behind the claw caused the ground beneath him to collapse, but Aethelwolf remained still.
"What?!" Argent was stunned. The human actually managed to stop his claw with two fingers! Even Kazak wasn't capable of doing this!
Argent tried to pull his claw away, but he realized that he couldn't break free. He was in an internal panic and his eyes revealed a trace of fear. At this moment, he knew for sure that this human was no average character.
Kazak frowned when he saw everything unfold. Although Argent was an idiot, he was no simple savage beast. He was already close to the peak of Nascent Soul. Defeating him was no easy task even for himself. However, this human actually managed to stop him effortlessly.
"It seems like I have to teach you some manners." Aethelwolf let out a gentle smile.
Argent shivered when he heard this. "Wait! Wait! Let us talk! There's no need for us to fight. Why don't we-" He tried to negotiate, but before he could utter the next words, he was suddenly nailed to the ground with a loud bang!
No one saw what happened. They didn't even see how Aethelwolf made his move.
Argent who was so loud earlier was now nailed to the ground. He was still alive, but he had already lost consciousness.
Meanwhile, Aethelwolf was standing beside him, looking over at them with a gentle smile.
His smile sent chills all over their bodies. Kazak who was so confident earlier finally lost his cool. He wanted to escape, but there was an invisible force preventing him from moving.
Aethelwolf walked towards them step by step.
To them, each step was like the devil's gong, making the trio tremble in fear.
Kazak was sweating all over his face. He gritted his teeth as he tried to overcome the force that stopped him from moving. Veins protruded on his face as he released all his power. 'How is this possible!? I still can't break free? Just who is this person?!' To his horror, he could still not move an inch.
He felt like his body was tied in chains. In the end, he could only stare at the human with dread.
Aethelwolf didn't expect that his restraining skill, Invisible Prison, was actually this strong. However, he knew that he couldn't control it for a long time so he had to end this as soon as possible. "I know what you guys are after. As savage beasts with impure bloodlines, your chances of breaking through the Void Tempering are slim.
You must have come here thinking that the human experts from this city will provide you with this chance. However, even if you suck their blood dry and consume all their flesh, you will still fail to break through."
Aethelwolf's words were like a hammer, shattering their dreams into pieces.
"No way! Even if they can't break through, I should be able to! I'm already at the peak of Nascent Soul for over a few centuries! I don't believe that I can't advance to the next realm!" Kazak shouted with a contorted expression. He had waited a long time for this opportunity so he couldn't believe what he heard.
Unlike Kazak, Serena and Gargan were too scared to speak. They just stared at Aethelwolf with quivering eyes.
Aethelwolf shook his head. "Do you think it's that easy to advance to the Void Tempering? How naive! If it was so easy, you would have already stepped into that stage a long time ago."
Kazak's face fell. He was right. He tried all sorts of ways to advance, but everything ended in failure.
"How about this? I'll give you all the opportunity to advance…" Aethelwolf muttered, his smile deepening. He was incredibly nervous in his heart, but he didn't show it on his face. Tricking these powerful savage beasts was difficult so he had to be careful to not make any mistakes.
Hearing this, Kazak raised his head and looked at him with a shocked gaze. "You… what do you mean?"
"I can help you achieve your lifelong dream. In exchange, you guys have to work for me."
Kazak narrowed his eyes. "Do you think you can fool me with such lies?!"
Aethelwolf sighed as if he was disappointed by his response. "It looks like I have wasted my time talking with you. In that case, I shall send you all to he-"
"Wait!" Kazak gritted his teeth. This could be a trap, but there was also a chance that this was his last opportunity to advance. He stared deeply at Aethelwolf and muttered. "Let me hear your conditions…"
Aethelwolf almost failed to conceal his glee when he heard this. 'These savage beasts are really easy to fool.' He laughed coldly in his heart.
