Chapter 118 - Be Mindful Of Your Words
Somehow when she was about to close the deal, the people would not contact her again, and she didn't know the reason for their peculiar actions.
What she didn't know was that Grandfather Fu had things under control. He had placed a person to watch over the house, tip the people that wanted to buy it off at the point after they have agreed to make payments.
He always does these to give Mu Keer hope of getting a huge amount of money, and then not getting anything in the end.
Jia Li wasn't too surprised when she heard of these, because she knew her greedy Aunt was capable of doing that.
She was kind of surprised when she didn't receive any news of her bad behavior over the past year, but now she had found out the Old man had been taking care of it.
"Grandfather next time, just teach her a little lesson. She still has children to take care of, so they may not be able to cope if she is hit too hard." Jia Li said.
Even though she was unhappy and wanted her Aunty to be punished for going too far, she had to put her cousins into consideration.
"You are really kind, rest assured that I will not punish her for a long time." Grandfather Fu promised.
He felt Jia Li was too kind to her enemies, but he couldn't go against her wish since this was her family member.
Turning to glance at Fu Hua, Grandfather Fu said to him, "Fu Hua, I want you and Jia Li to move out of the house, you two are newly married and need your own space."
Fu Hua glanced at him and asked, "Why do you want us to move out so soon?"
Jia Li was surprised by grandfather Fu's instruction and also wanted to ask the question Fu Hua just asked because she also felt it was too soon for her to leave the Fu house immediately after moving out. And she didn't know how she would cope when she has to live alone with Fu Hua.
"I already said you two are newlyweds. And besides, you need to get to know each other well enough, and that can only happen when you are left in your own space. You two have to move out as soon as possible." Grandfather Fu said to the both of them.
He had really thought things through and knew it would be best for Fu Hua and Jia Li to live in their own house.
He wanted them to get to know each other very well, and also he didn't want Jia Li to be bullied by Fu Hee when he wasn't watching.
"How soon do you want us to leave?" Fu Hua asked after glancing at Jia Li, who looked troubled over the matter.
"You will have to do that before I go on a mission. I have an important military mission to carry out, as it is a confidential matter that has to do with the country. The best time is during the weekend. But first of all, you need to follow Jia Li to her hometown to go and pay respects to her parents. It's been a year since their deaths, so it's time for Jia Li to go back and visit them." Grandfather Fu said.
Jia Li felt teary hearing her about her deceased parents from the old man. She felt grateful to him for always caring about her.
"Thank you, grandfather." Jia Li said gratefully with her teary eyes.
She has already thought about how to ask the old man for permission to go back to her hometown to pay her respects to her parents since it's been a year they died, but who knew the old man had the same thoughts as her.
"You don't need to thank me. And don't cry if you don't want to make this old man sad." Grandfather Fu patted her shoulder as he comforted her, while Fu Hua watched from the side.
Seeing the scene before him, he finally understood the reason Jia Li listens to everything the old man says.
She is willing to sacrifice anything to make his grandfather happy because he was the only one that took good care of her and was always thinking of her.
Now, he knew the reason Jia Li would do anything the old man asked of her.
When Friday came, Fu Hua and Jia Li returned to the Fu mansion early as they had to travel to Jia Li home town the same day.
As Fu Hua and Jia Li were stepping out of the house with their little suitcase, they met Fu Hee who just came back home.
She was surprised to see the both of them leaving the house with their suitcases, so she asked hurriedly with a worried look on her face.
"Fu Hua, where are you going to?"
"I'm going with Jia Li to her hometown to see her parents. We will be back in two days." Fu Hua replied with a straight face.
Fu Hee became alarmed on learning they would be spending two days outside alone. Now thinking about the possibility of Jia Li sleeping with her son and getting pregnant, Fu Hee couldn't help but be worried, so she asked, hurriedly...
"Why don't you let me come with you two?"
"We don't need your presence. Stay at home and rest properly." Fu Hua said in a cold tone with an emotionless gaze on her.
Fu Hee was very angry deep down since her son refused her request. She could only resort to her only option.
"Since you said so, I will rest at home. Go ahead, I have a few words to say to Jia Li."
Fu Hua glanced at her, and then at Jia Li before glancing back at her.
"Be mindful with your words." He said before taking the luggage in Jia Li's hand and walked away.
When Fu Hua left their side, the smile on Fu Hee's face disappeared as she turned to glance at Jia Li with a look of disgust.
"You better know your place and respect yourself. You are going to pay respect to your parents, and not to have fun, so you better behave properly."
After saying this piece, Fu Hee scoffed and walked away.
Jia Li didn't understand the meaning of Fu Hee's words and the hidden meaning in them, but she was not too worried.
She walked towards the car Fu Hua and two men in military uniform were standing.
Jia Li got into the back seat of the car with Fu Hua, while the two military men got in the front side of the car.
The military men were the escorts arranged by grandfather Fu.
