Chapter 598 – Locked Up
The person Zimo was speaking with, was a soldier in charge of finding out the identity of Carlos who met with the three reporters in disguise and also to see if other people were involved.
Mu Keer was separated from her children while still unconscious and was locked up in a different room.
There was no need to handcuff her hands because even if she would like to try her best, she would never be able to escape while under the watch of the soldiers.
At the graveyard, The Fu and the Huang family spent more than an hour over there. There were so many fresh white lilies and roses lying on the tomb of Jia Li’s parents, as they all have been given by the members of the two families.
For the first time, Old Mr. Huang saw the picture of what his late daughter looked like before she died.
After staring at her picture for a while, he sighed and said to the hearing of everyone, "I will still repeat this, If she hadn’t married into the Qin family, she wouldn’t have died."
"She wanted happiness, and she got it with the man she loved and chose to follow, that’s the most important thing." Old Mrs. Huang replied.
She believed that Huang Li probably wouldn’t have reached up to that age if she had married someone else. She would have died earlier due to unhappiness and grief.
But Old Mr. Huang thought otherwise. He still believed that his daughter wouldn’t have died in that way if she didn’t marry into a troublesome poor family like the Qins.
Jia Li was quiet all through and whatever she had to say, she said them silently. She was still troubled by her Aunt’s action for what she would have done if not stopped on time, will cause backlash on the two families.
An hour later, most of the Fu and Huang family members went back to the Villa in the next community, while the rest traveled down to the barracks.
Jia Li had wanted to go and see her Aunt ask her some questions, but everybody denied her that right. Even Fu Hua refused to let her go.
"Stay at home, we will take care of this matter for you." He said to her.
They didn’t want her to be a hindrance with whatever they would do to Mu Keer, so it was better she wasn’t present or aware of any of it.
Jia Li was forced to go back home with the others.
The only people that went to the barracks were, Fu Hua, Grandfather Fu, Fu Hua’s father, and uncle. Then from the Huang family, three people came along. Old Mr. Huang, his first son and third daughter.
Arriving at the barracks in a grand entrance that didn’t matter to them because of the situation on the ground, they were taken straight to the place Mu Keer was locked up.
But before they arrived Mu Keer’s action when she woke and saw the place she was in, was hilarious.
She didn’t know why she fell asleep and how long she has been out, but when she opened her eyes and saw herself sitting on the floor and locked up in a place made of wood, she screamed in shock.
She was lucky enough that there was ventilation in that place, but she didn’t feel so as her main aim was being let out of that space.
She kept screaming for help while running around the space and also trying to open the door which was impossible to do so because it was locked.
"Help! Who brought me here? Let me out right now! Do you know who I am? Where are my children?! Where did you keep them? Let me tell you, you better not touch my children or else, I will fight all of you! You scammer why did you bring me here! I am very influential in my neighborhood and if my friends do not find my children and me within 24 hours, they would come after you!"
Mu Keer kept saying empty threat until her voice turned a bit hoarse and she got tired of talking, and only then did she sit on the floor to start crying.
From threatening them, she began to beg for her to be released. But no matter what she did, nobody came to her aid.
The door only opened when Fu Hua and the rest came to visit her.
Hearing the approaching footsteps, Mu Keer thought that finally, someone was coming to let her out, so she wiped her tears and jumped up from the dirty ground, and ran towards the door.
Immediately the door opened and she tried to run out, two soldiers immediately caught her by the arms and dragged her away forcefully with her screaming.
No matter how she screamed and tried to escape from their hold, all proved abortive. She shouted, but the soldiers ignored her, and they didn’t bother to cover her mouth. When she tried to struggle out of their arms, they strengthened their hold on her.
Mu Keer only stopped struggling when she discovered that the more she tried to escape from their hold, the more strength they used on her.
On getting close to the nearest building where the Fu and the Huang families were waiting, Mu Keer was dragged inside.
Finally getting into the room filled with unfamiliar faces and the level of authority they were emitting, Mu Keer humbled herself.
She didn’t even recognize anybody from there, including Fu Hua. And never did her mind tell her who they were.
One of the Generals in the room, gave a sign to the soldiers that brought her in, for them to put her in the middle of the room.
Mu Keer was dragged and pushed to the middle of the room where she knelt with her head bowed.
Finally, when Mu Keer learned of the people before her, her blood chilled. At last, the people she was working against, had apprehended her.
At a point during the interrogation, she flared up and started cursing them, but when a slap was given to her by one of the soldiers, she shut up immediately and held her jingling ears after crying out in pain.
