Chapter 324: Why Is Your Mouth So Bad
Jiang Xuecheng’s eyes sank when he heard the anxiousness in Jiang Haoxuan for Sheng An’ning. He replied faintly, “Why don’t you take a look yourself?”
Jiang Haoxuan choked when he heard this. He darted a helpless look at Jiang Xuecheng and rushed in at once.
Looking at Jiang Haoxuan’s anxiousness, Xu Ziyao couldn’t help but sigh for her little son whose path in love was tough.
Jiang Xuecheng noticed his mother’s emotions. He pursed his lips and nodded slightly at Xu Ziyao. He spoke detachedly, “Mother, Wan Wan and I will return to the office first.”
Xu Ziyao’s eyes swept across Jiang Xuecheng’s cold look and her heart was bitter. She waved as she enjoined. “Okay, remember to handle this matter properly. As for An’ning...”
Xu Ziyao paused. She examined Su Wan who was standing beside Jiang Xuecheng faintly as her beautiful eyes twinkled with some unusual light.
“An’ning was fostered in our family and she almost died this time. Grandfather and her grandfather had gone through fire and water together so you have to know how to handle this matter with a sense of propriety.”
This was not uttered only for Jiang Xuecheng. Su Wan was standing beside him. She clenched her fists and slowly loosened them.
In fact, Su Wan was a person who would do onto others what others had done onto her. Of course, if one was unkind toward her, one should not blame her for being unjust.
However, Sheng An’ning’s identity was awkward and Su Wan knew that, as the daughter-in-law of the Jiang family, she had to be passive.
Su Wan took a step forward immediately to give her promise on behalf of Jiang Xuecheng.
“Mother, don’t worry. Xuecheng knows his limit. However, Mother, the future is unknown and I hope you would treat future happenings fairly.”
Xu Ziayo was a smart woman and she certainly understood what Su Wan meant. She meant if Sheng An’ning were to create trouble again, they were not to be blamed then for their ruthlessness.
In fact, Su Wan didn’t blame Xu Ziyao. Xu Ziyao was considered an open-minded elderly but both her sons were her flesh and blood. She was caught in the middle and was in a dilemma.
Xu Ziyao looked at Su Wan steadily, as if not expecting such a reply from Su Wan. She curved her lips calmly and the smile on her face was as graceful as the spring breeze.
“Of course. Goodbye, Xuecheng, Wan. I won’t see you off.”
Su Wan nodded at Jiang Xuecheng once again and they then walked toward the elevator at the corner of that floor together.
When Xu Ziyao saw them leaving with hands held together, her deep eyes blinked and she felt lonely, as if she had been covered by a layer of mist.
Xu Ziyao laughed at herself. She felt she was a failed mother. Both Jiang Xuecheng and Jiang Haoxuan were not close to her.

Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng sat in the car and drove toward Di Chen’s headquarters.
As the traffic light in front of them turned red, Jiang Xuecheng stopped his car steadily. The atmosphere in the car seemed to stagnate along with the red light.
Jiang Xuecheng tilted his head to look at Su Wan. This little woman seemed unhappy the moment she left the hospital. She looked down and did not say a single word.
“Are you still mad with what happened just now?”
Su Wan pursed her rosy lips and shook her head slightly. “I’m not angry. I just feel a little frustrated.”
A smile appeared on Jiang Xuecheng’s handsome face when he saw Su Wan’s refusal to admit.
He took out a music CD and put it into the CD player. In an instant, a soft and melodious guqin music lingered in the car.
The gentle and classical sound of the guqin seemed to have cut off the noise of the world. Su Wan even felt she had been separated from the city.
Actually, when Su Wan was a child, she didn’t like her mother playing the guqin. She felt it was dry but when she grew up, her taste changed and she slowly learnt how to admire the beauty of classical music.
However, when Su Wan heard the prelude of the guqin music, she widened her eyes.
“This is ‘Tune of a Peaceful Night’? You bought this especially for me?”
The curve of Jiang Xuecheng’s smile deepened. He looked at Su Wan quietly and gave out a low laugh.
“I heard someone has been assigned the task of learning this piece. Are you having a headache right now?”
Su Wan blushed. She raised her fist and replied, “Don’t look down upon me. Which beginner can play a complete piece?”
Jiang Xuecheng raised his brows, “Who claimed to be a genius at the beginning? Who said that once she learns the guqin, she would be amazing? I think you would have plenty of calluses on your hand before you can master the guqin!”
Why was this man’s mouth so bad?
Jiang Xuecheng still remembered her joke back then. Su Wan was ashamed and angry but was helpless.
Every time Su Wan practiced the guqin in the music room, Jiang Xuecheng never came to listen. She knew then that this man had no interest in the guqin.
However, Jiang Xuecheng had inquired about her progress from Sun Yue through text messages!
He didn’t do it for the purpose of ridiculing her, did he?
Should she say he cared about her or should she say he was evil?
Seeing the traffic light turn green, Su Wan reminded Jiang Xuecheng in a louder voice to be rid of the embarrassing situation.
“If you don’t start the engine soon, brace yourself for the honking from the driver behind.”
Jiang Xuecheng darted Su Wan a faint look. Then, he started the engine of the car.
Looking at his hand on the steering wheel, she let out a sigh of relief.
After Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng arrived at Di Chen’s headquarters, nothing happened.
Although the public discussion was boiling everywhere, when their colleagues saw them, they neither gossiped nor looked at Su Wan with strange eyes. Perhaps Jiang Xuecheng had managed and trained them well.
Su Wan didn’t care what others said behind her but her little heart couldn’t bear being stigmatized openly.
Just when Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng wished to return to their respective offices, they suddenly heard a deep voice of a man.
“Both of you are finally back. I’ve waited long.”
Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng turned around. When Su Wan looked up, the sight of a tall figure with a pair of gold-framed glasses and a gentle, handsome face welcomed her.
“Brother Tang.”
Su Wan smiled faintly when she saw this big brother.
Tang Yifeng nodded and smiled sarcastically. “Good sister, you have a sweet tongue.”
Jiang Xuecheng darted an indifferent look at Tang Yifeng as he raised his brows, “Aren’t you very busy lately? Why are you this free to come here?”
“I heard that you met with an accident. It so happens that I’ve completed the project I accepted last week, so I’ve come to see you.”
“I see that you can walk. It shouldn’t be a big problem, then?”
As Tang Yifeng spoke, he tapped Jiang Xuecheng’s shoulders and sighed.
“I heard An’ning had cut her wrist for your sake. Are you having some sort of bad luck?”
Jiang Xuecheng remained indifferent facing Tang Yifeng’s teasing.
“This is not a good place to talk. Let’s go up first.”
