Actually freezing people was a method used at the Central Plains in many places, for example when somebody was severely injured and was in need of a cure that couldn’t be acquired immediately. This person would be frozen and put into a suspended animation state to delay the coming of death.
Lu Li’s grandpa was injured by a ferocious kind of voodoo at the Southern Land of Voodoo and came back with a grave injury. He was also frozen in the side chamber where the Blood Pond of God was located. Lu Li even saw the cold air coming out from that side chamber…
Bai Qiuxue was also frozen today and for nobody knew how many years. According to Chee-ker, nobody could cure the Immortal’s Perish, as such, the abbot at the Great Buddha Temple might not be able to provide a cure.
The only people that could cure her would be powerful warriors of the Voodoo Race, an alien race that was incompatible with the human race as water and fire. Once, Lu Zhengyang, who was at the Earth Immortal Realm went to the Southern Land of Voodoo but came back with injuries. If Lu Li went, he would lose his life there soon.
Therefore, he didn’t try to do anything silly. He just stayed with Bai Qiuxue in the ice room. He ate nothing, drank nothing, and took no sleep. Only when he could not stand it any longer would he use Xuan Energy to repel the cold air to prevent his body from being frozen.
Day after day…
Chee-ker and Yao-ker were afraid to come in and talk Lu Li into leaving. They guarded outside. Ye Cha went out and came back five days later with the other four patriarchs of the Cyan Phoenix Race and Meng Zhi.
Ye Cha hadn’t told Madam Yan and the others about any of this. He knew the less they knew about the Deserted World, the better. He just sent a message to Madam Yan, saying that everything was fine, Song Qi was killed, and she should start to deal with what would come next.
God of Meng was on his way over after Cheek-er sent him a message using their unique way. Chee-ker also sent someone to check and confirm that Hua did die. His body was destroyed and all the powerful ones of the Stellar Race passed away.
In other words, the Titan Race now became the king of the Deserted World. If God of Meng would eat his words, he could kill Lu Li, Ye Cha, Meng Zhi, and the others then declare the Deserted World to be his.
Chee-ker was worried and so was Ye Cha, Meng Zhi, and the others. But they could only wait at the foot of the Snow Mountain of Dragons since Lu Li insisted on staying in the ice room and wouldn’t allow anybody else to go in.
…
Several days passed. God of Meng arrived with eight patriarchs. Chee-ker brought someone to welcome them while Ye Cha and Meng Zhi were nervous and preparing for a potential battle. They were ready to take Lu Li away at any time.
After an hour, God of Meng finally arrived at the Snow Mountain of Dragons. Chee-ker winked to Ye Cha and Meng Zhi who were relieved.
It had been many years, but the Titan Race was like the old days, matching actions to their promises. God of Meng was here to swear his allegiance.
It was nothing unusual. When the patriarch of the Titan Race, Meng Huo, was defeated by Lu Li, he kept his words and he declined any words of comfort and admitted defeat.
Titan Race originated from the Mammoth Race which was known for developed bodies and simple minds. Mammoth Race was unwilling to spend much time in thinking, so for all those years, the Mammoth Race had been following the footsteps of the Cyan Phoenix Race, leaving all the brain work to Cyan Phoenix Race while taking responsibility for taking actions.
God of Meng came with eight patriarchs of the Noble Lord Realm. They all had an impressive bearing. The eight patriarchs stood in a line behind God of Meng with serious expressions.
God of Meng stood in front of the mountain and said to Ye Cha and Meng Zhi, “Please invite your Young Master to come out. I am here to deliver my promise and I have come with good will.”
Ye Cha flew down. Meng Zhi nodded and said, “God of Meng, I, the Clan Leader of Mammoth Race, hereby declare that the past between our two races is in the past. From now on, we shall be the same race and share weal and woe together!”
“Greetings, Clan Leader!”
God of Meng was showing respect this time. He took the lead and got down on one knee and put his hand over his chest. Together with the eight patriarchs, they bowed.
As a matter of fact, Meng Zhi was decisive in making God of Meng come and swear allegiance to Lu Li. God of Meng dared not to forget the last words of his ancestors. He had fulfilled his mission by making the wish of his ancestors come true and regain the recognition of the Mammoth Race.
“Whoosh!”
Before Ye Cha flew back up, Lu Li came down from the Snow Mountain of Dragons. He sat on his silver Fate Wheel in midair. He showed no emotion and only coldness was in his eyes.
He looked at God of Meng and said, “God of Meng, I accept you. From now on, we will go through thick and thin together and share weal and woe. I will do my best in my life to bring you back to the Central Plains and take back your ancestral lands. I swear to you. If I break my oath, I shall be condemned to hell for eternity.”
God of Meng gave Lu Li a meaningful look, lowered his head, and said, “Saint Lord.”
Meng Huo and the other patriarchs bowed and said “Saint Lord” as well.
“Rise now. You don’t need to bow to me in the future.”
Lu Li said coldly. A Human Sovereign Realm warrior knelt in front of him, but he was not a bit happy or arrogant. He was only 17, and he didn’t show any signs of nervousness or confusion facing such a powerful warrior. Instead, he remained calm.
It was like this was granted. The unspeakable qi and energy from Lu Li burned Meng Huo and the others. They felt like they were faced with a warrior of the Earth Immortal Realm instead of a young man at the Fate Wheel Realm.
God of Meng rose. Lu Li shouted, “God of Meng, Meng Zhi and Ye Cha!”
Ye Cha stood in line with Meng Zhi and God of Meng. The three cupped their fists and said, “Yes.”
“Conquer the Deserted World!”
Lu Li waved his hand and said, “Destroy any races that refuse to listen. Close off all the tunnels. Not a single piece of news can be let out.”
“Yes!”
The three accepted the order. Lu Li flew back up. He paused in midair, looked at God of Meng, and said, “Do you know how to cure the Immortal’s Perish?”
God of Meng shook his head after some thoughts and said, “I don’t know. There aren’t any historical recordings in our race.”
“Okay. That will be all.”
Lu Li waved his hand and said, “Come to see me after the Deserted World is conquered. Otherwise, don’t come back at all.”
“Yes!”
God of Meng bowed again. Both the Titan Race and the Mammoth Race were stubborn. When they put their mind on one thing, they would not go off course halfway.
Lu Li disappeared into the peak. God of Meng asked Meng Zhi, “What is going on with Saint Lord?”
Meng Zhi turned to Ye Cha who shook his head and said, “It’s a long story. Young Master was poisoned with Immortal’s Perish, and his lover transferred the poison to herself in order to save him. She is frozen right now and only have 100 years left.”
“Oh.”
God of Meng was relieved. A girl was willing to sacrifice her own life to save Lu Li. He seemed to be a man of integrity. Also, the Cyan Phoenix Race was known for being smart and cunning. Even Ye Cha was devoting himself to Lu Li. Maybe that half booklet of Heaven Augury Spell was right…
“Let’s go. Hua died, and the Deserted World is at our fingertips. We can manage to control the Deserted World easily.”
God of Meng was delighted. They had been second to the Stellar Race for years, and now the Titan Race could finally vent their anger.
“Okay. Brother Four, you stay behind. The others, come with us!”
A glint of killing intent appeared in Ye Cha’s eyes. Taking the Deserted World would get them closer to going back to the Central Plains with the Mammoth Race.
The enormous pressure coming from the six forces including the Samsara Palace had been hanging over their heads like a mountain, making them hard to take a break. Today, there was finally a glimmer of hope.
