Chapter 111 - Not About Girls

It was the exact thing that he was trying to find out but was failed immensely. Moreover, Lucas's lips were sealed, not letting a single thing slipped away.

It gave him more pressure to unfold the entire situation.

"Well, you can't offer him anything but he is still after you. Probably you don't know but I have my doubts.." Javier expressed his concern but Jennifer was still very much unsatisfied.

"But Lucas has everything. Either it is money or fame, literally, his grandfather gave him and everything from start. Not like there aren't girls around him too.."

Hearing this, Javier smiled to reply, "This isn't about girls.. but something very serious.." otherwise that playboy won't marry you rather fucked you way before.

But Javier kept his mouth shut and didn't let the second half slip from his lips.

"We don't know yet but will soon find out. Finding it out is the only option, otherwise, we will probably fail." With these words, both of them started walking in the path.

They kept on talking, regarding different topics rather ut be related to how big his house was or about Lucas.

There wasn't any scope of sour mood that Javier earlier predicted instead she looked happy to be in his villa which was a little bit relaxing too.

As they happily talked, Jennifer's gaze suddenly traveled to see his face at a closer look. From the past, his face was shining under the sunlight, making her wonder if he is this handsome or if there is any mystery behind his beauty?

For a few mere seconds, she totally forgot blinking her eyes but kept her gaze stagnant on his face which made him slightly uncomfortable too.

"Is there something on my face?"

"N….No. you know you are very handsome?" While she was immersed in staring at his face, her real intention and word revolving in her mind, slipped out of her lips which she immediately regretted.

A smirk formed on his lips when he too replied back, "Really? Finally, you accepted that… I do look handsome. See it yourself, it isn't that difficult the more you make it look."

Jennifer urged to roll her eyes but stops the urge. "You are too overconfident. I have seen many people who are more handsome than you."

"Oh. Why not simply name them? It will be very much wonderful to know more." His words made her thunderstruck when she tried to raise the name of the male friend who had more hands than him.

Unfortunately no named surface in her mind. Even Lucas was nothing in comparison to this guy. Even though Mr. Shawn is no less handsome, yet she can feel his aura and face were very much similar to his late mother.

"I don't remember right now. But I have seen it!! So, do not be overconfident yourself!" As she spoke these words, Jennifer walked ahead but a grin appeared on Javier's face. "JENNIFER!"

She didn't halt in her steps and kept herself at a steady speed.

Javier came behind her, running at a high speed and crashing into her which made her almost fall on the ground.

Fortunately, he wrapped his hand near her waist and protected her from any fall.

"Ouch! Javier! Are you an idiot?" Jennifer growled but at the same time, her attention shifted to their grave position.

He was holding her from behind when she could feel her entire back stick to his broad chest.

The heat which was concentrated and shared through his body was evident. She can feel the hotness growing inside her mind in just a few minutes of closeness.. "J..Javier.."

He first stabilized his position and then spoke, "Sorry. I.. was just running." He was himself wondering how his leg could slip all of the sudden. All thanks to her otherwise he would have fallen.

"Sorry.. looks like my leg slipped." He was checking his shoes but his grip didn't leave her waist, making her slightly red. She wasn't used to, this level of proximity, and physical interaction with anyone.

With his hand around her stomach, she can sense the heat generated beneath and how her stomach churned.

'Uff Jennifer.. such tough spot for you..' a silent cry was about to escape but before that she just removed his hand herself and he too didn't seem to care.

His attention was busy checking out the camisole of his shoes rather than what she did right now.

A sigh escaped her lips, 'At least this doesn't matter to him that much.'

At the same time, the butler of the house walked near them and bowed, "The lunch is ready. Would you boh like to have lunch for now?"

Hearing this, Javier turned his face to stare at Jennifer, who looked at him too. "Are you hungry?"

"Obviously. You haven't eaten anything since this morning." Jennifer replied with a serious gaze and Javier understood her hunger must be at the top level.

Nodding his head, he turned around to face the butler, Javier spoke, "Serve the dinner. We will be at the table in a few minutes."

"Yes sir!" The butler once again bowed with respect and left them alone, but the entire process made Jennifer thought twice. 'Lunch.? At the table? Don't tell me that the people of his family will be seated in the same place as well?'

The possibility of having lunch with them almost made her hunger fade away.

This wasn't the worst condition to consider but to sit in between the messy family surely ruined her entire fun-loving mood.

The lack of response from Jennifer's side, suddenly made Javier frown. Javier's eyes traveled to her face which was frozen. 'What happened to her so suddenly?'

He was a little insecure but to rest his heart, he asked her, "Jennifer. You want me to do something? Is there anything bothering you?"

Her mixed emotion eyes moved towards his face indicating her worry. "Javier.. how am I supposed to eat lunch? With.. your messed up family and that stepmother of yours?"
