Chapter 144 - He Is Here!

At the same time, in Johnsons's states airport.

The flight of a certain person landed just a few minutes ago. Doing the necessary formalities, a man walked after all the procedures.

With his bag in his hand and an oversized coat, he looked no less intimating.

Hiding his face under a hat, he lowered his face to type a message to his people via the special stream.

Making his way to the exit of the airport, he was constantly texting on his phone without moving his eyes away from them for a single second.

No one can deny that he was an attractive man, gaining a lot of attention, especially from strangers.

'Why the hell aren't they replying to my message?' He mumbled in between his breath, slow as a turtle to not be heard by anyone else.

A frustrated look shimmered on his face yet with a clam look, he used the local cab system to arrive at his designed hotel.

Sitting in the cab, he looked out the window to see the large buildings but a lot of greenery was added to it.

"So… this is Johnson's state where Jen is kept..interesting.." his eyes kept gazing at the fascinating view until his phone beeped.

Taking a look at the notification, a smirk blossomed on his fine lips, when he dialed a specific number.

The ring went through and after a long call, someone answered, "Looks like you reached the place.. Austin."

"I did. This place is seriously beautiful.. never expecting something like this though." He expressed his real views, but the other part laughed, "Remember, you aren't there to have good days and the warmth of the city. Your motive is t-"

"To bring Jennifer back safely and ask you guys for help."

He comforted himself before someone else could have. His eyes glimmered with determination when he mentioned the name of the girl for whom, for whom he has finally arrived, leaving all his work behind.

"That is good that you know about that. Be careful." The other party's words were making him bored.

Somehow, he knew the reason behind his actions too well, it was useless to explain it further to him.

"Now that I'm here, my next plan is to somehow to get in contact with the Johnsons.. and try to have met with the elders of the Johnson, Charles." The name itself was enough to make the driver feel alert but somehow he coped up with the danger.

"You are right. The earliest you reach Taylor, the better it will be. Risking anything isn't enough and also… she is in a dangerous situation and will need your help will be needed sooner or later."

"If not for her, I don't think I would have thought about coming here. I'm here on her request, not on yours so basically, you have no idea. Just make arrangements about my fake identity to use."

That was all that he said before the man hung up. Immediately, he brought out the sim from the phone and crushed it into pieces. Breaking it into two, he was ready to throw it out but stopped himself from doing so.

'What if this drive will know... if I throw it so carelessly..' getting guessed was the last thing on his bucket list so he suppressed the two broken pieces of the sim in his hand itself.

The bones of his chin hardened when he waited until he showed up till the hotel where the arrangements for his stay were made.

Making a payment to the local cab driver, he pulled his way out and arrived at the reception.

"Excuse me, there will be a room.." he asked in a polite tone when the receptionist lifted their eyes to look at the strange man, "May I know the name, sir?"

"Austin Brown.."

….

Meanwhile, Jennifer was resting in her room.

Since Javier left her alone today, she is quite free with nothing to do in her hand. "It is such a difficult task to kill this free time here.."

She wasn't in any mood to step out of this door, as many of his family members are simply ready to question her.

The drama which she created early in the morning was still lingering in her mind.

Standing outside in the laps of nature her eyes roam throughout the life outside this villa.

From there her eyes flew to all the sides, to see the large garden and the mountains in the state, which she wishes to visit some other time.

At the same point, there was a knock on the door, which made her turn around instantly, 'Who can be there at this time?'

Remembering that Javier might have asked the butler to give her breakfast to eat, made her suspicious.

Still, taking larger steps she arrived at the door and opened it to see the butler standing there.

Her eyes looked at her butler. Head to toe in puzzeldness "What are you doing here?"

"Umm… Ms. Taylor, Mrs. Johnson, is asking for your presence downstairs.. if you don't mind can you please.. come down."

Hearing this, her heart wasn't settled, "Mrs. Johnson? You mean that Shirley?" In return, she asked to get his suspicious gaze and nodded.

'Why will that lady call me despite..the fight in the morning?' It won't be as simple as she thought since the hate in the woman's eyes was very much an evident which she saw earlier too.

But on the second note, her eyes shined, "Is there any special occasion?" She asked the butler very casually.

"The friends of Mrs.Johnsons have shown up. As you are alone here in the room, why not you join her." The butler was trying to be soft but she knew that there must be hidden meaning, thought Jennifer.

How can that lady be so curious and big-hearted to welcome her within her friend circle? It was almost next to impossible in her eyes.

A simple trick to embarrass she showered in her mind about the situation by which Shirley might have requested for her presence

The first isn't though that it's easy to decline and shut the door but on the second note, she thought, 'How will I kill my boredom if I stay in this room itself? I guess some fun won't be bad too.'

At such naughty thought, her lips curled upwards in danger when she replied back with a happy face, "Alright, I will be down in few minutes."
