Chapter 150 - Blessing, Not A Curse

"Thank you so much.." Amaira said to the butler politely when he served both of them the tea in their respective cups.

They both decided to settle and have a sip of tea on the balcony, which provided them with a marvelous view, better than that of Javier's room.

Bringing the cup near her mouth, Jennifer took a sip which made her quite surprised, "Umm..This tastes good."

"Yeah, it is all of us, including Javier's brother's favorite tea. All of the three of us 0siblings love it.." Amaira told when she noticed that Jennifer too took a liking towards their taste.

But Jennifer senses that Amaira has more to say.

She waited, and passed a kook to Amaira to continue.

"anything?"

"Well.." She looked quite anxious and lowered her eyelids, "It is said that this was my father's first wife's favorite tea so..it is still used in the family."

Why wasn't she surprised too?

As both the brothers have the same taste, they must have a liking towards the tea's specialty, in memory of her.

But she noted how uncomfortable Amaira was when she said the same. 'It was only awkward but also the making her feel guilty?' Jennifer wasn't able to comprehend the meaning of her expressions.

"Amaira, you remember what we talked about last time?" Jennifer added the conversion when she recalled the situation Amaira came to threaten her.

Passing her a look, Amaira lifted her eyes, "Do you think that I approached you today without any reason?"

So, basically, she did have thought about what she said about her freedom in the deep mind.

It was surprising as the girl looked rebelling, who might not take others' advice.

Taking another sip, Jennifer raised her eyes, "So, what next? You wish a share something with me then?"

"I..I.."

"Don't worry, I don't like talking about things with others so you can trust me on that. Despite knowing that I'm from another state but, I don't have any intention to judge you so go ahead, I'm listening with all my attention." The words gave the lady some kind of comfort to narrate.

If she gets nervous in the first phase, how can she open up with anyone too?

It was next to impossible, and the fear of not getting involved with anyone needs to be removed, Jennifer thought.

But on the second note, she can't imagine what Amaira is going through until she shares her experience herself.

A pang of guilt and a passive look plastered on Amaira's face. Her shoulders hung down in defeat resisting everything.

With a strong wind passing by, Amaira's stomach chirped with unknown terror that kept on raging in her heart from time to time.

Yet, gathering the leftover courage, she finally opened her mouth without fighting her eyes to face Jennifer, "You see, I'm an illegitimate child and now, you must be already aware of my family conditions... I'm not treated much nicely since... I'm a girl.. and my status.."

She was hesitant to say it aloud that she is a mistress's daughter, although it wasn't her worry or issue.

Whether she was born out of wedlock or not, now she is here on earth. Her hands were tied with the guilt that her mother broke someone's home.

Jennifer didn't say anything for a few minutes. Rather, she just noticed how difficult it is for Amaira, pacing from time to time to change emotions and make them stable to ease her own heart.

"Amaira, your family is a mess. Total mess..."

"I know that already. Nothing new, I have been living in such conditions for years now." Amaira ansaered without stammering.

Just from her reply, she could predict that the lady isn't a weak one yet the circumstances around developed her into one.

"Then, why are you always referring to yourself as an illegitimate child? Weren't you born after your mother married your father?" This was adding more other puzzles.

Jenifer guessed that Amaira was born when Javier's mother was out of the scene.

Yet, Amaira gave Jennifer a look, a dangerous look to think twice. Same, didn't give many answers to Jennifer when she asked again, "You mean that you were born before?"

"Or what? You must have heard about mothers but it is not that. I was out of wedlock. To safeguard his name, my father married my mother after his first wife... Well, let's not bother anymore." Amaira changed the topic when the talks shifted to Javier's mother.

Her eyes narrowed with a sudden thought surfacing in her mind, 'Where is Javier's mother now? Why does everyone avoid talking about that lady?'

She hot cheated and it was evident but then what?

How come a legal lady be defeated and the position of the lady's house be won by a mistress, especially a scheming bitch like Shirley?

It was confusing to understand even. But then retarding her main focus should be Amaira, not her stepmother.

Taking another sip, Jennifer answered with the utmost calmness, "You are of wedlock but you know, no one is going to give you that tag except yourself. Why have regarded yourself that you are out of wedlock and other stuff when none is referring to you that?"

"Moreover, you should be either proud that you were born in Johnsons, Ignoring the circumstances, I believe that you are more into self-blaming rather than accepting reality. Why live like this? Stop having guilt and start living a life for yourself, not for others."

Jennifer's words brought a smirk on Amaira's face which seems she wasn't affected much, "It is easy for you to say that."

"Yes. Indeed I can say this is easy but getting and doing is as difficult but you're making it harder. Aren't you just holding your title yourself and seeing your mother with the wrong image too? She must be a villain, but you are a blessing too, to this family. Why count yourself as the curse when you are no less than a blessing?"
