Chapter 330 - Secrets!

Chapter 330 - Secrets!

Charles stated at her serious face to ask, "Tell me. What can I do for my last love?"

"Keep your family away from me… so much away that I'm never again bothered by them. My presence is my business, not anyone else." Her speech contained mockery, but the mixed emotions as well which Charles already saw.

It was hard to ignore the same since she used the comment in the context, which is foreign to him.

'Why is she bringing up my family into this?'

As far as his memories go, he never made any official meeting happen with Sierra or his father or mother. So… why will his family bother her?

Staring at his face, she could already guess that he is still clueless..even after years. "Don't think, Just follow what I have said. Never try to contact me ever again, and this is my warning...as well..as my...situation…" her voice turned timid with the time when sheltered her eyes to see the ground beneath her.

The chills of the entire night were hitting her face, despite the coat that protected her entire body. While Charles only looked at her with his lonely soul, he couldn't understand her.

"You are still trying to make me a fool, right? Si, I told you my wish, and this is your mistake that you came back to the place where you left me." keeping his hand inside his pocket, he stood more comfortably, "Why don't you bring this topic with your husband? I guess we both can have a better conversation."

"No! Never!!"

Sierra immediately lifted her eyes to peek at him with her wide eyes.

Her instant answer curved Charles' lips upwards, "Are you afraid that we both will end up talking and I will reveal more secrets of what you did with me?"

There was no answer from her side, only deep silence that followed his words.

Yet what he knew was, she is afraid, fearing he will go and contact her husband. 'As if your husband will have no idea about your ex-boyfriend?' he doesn't think so, after all, her husband must have done a check over his background already.

Meanwhile, Sierra's lips turned into a grim position where she was at the lack of words with herself. 'Telling Jack about what he's doing? No….I can never bring this to him. He already has a bundle of tensions..'

On the second note, she doesn't want anyone to learn about her divorce proceeding until they are finalized.

Because this will surely create chaos out of nowhere and unnecessary uproar which she wishes to avoid at such cost.

"Charles… maintain your distance with me. Neither am I a kid, nor are you to do this kind of stuff. Get a life for yourself. Move one, and leave me and my family behind, keep me out of this mess."

"I'm here to live a life! I don't have the time to treat your nose every day." taking a step closer to him, she eyes him from top to bottom without tearing her gaze off, "If these tactics? of yours will affect my children, mind me, I will ruin your entire life…"

Her motherhood nature was very much reflected on her face and Charles could never deny that.

Did he feel sad? He thought so, but his expressions never gave any hint of his sentiments even a bit.

The fact that she was a mother… as well as… a protective mother.. was something unusual he witnessed. Why? Because she never displayed this expression of hers ever.

He stood still while lowering his eyes to stare at her determined and furied face.

A soft scoff left his mouth, when he said, "Such love for your children...? Where was this love when you left me alone in this town? When...I begged you to stay...and when I said I can't live without you?"

"But you did. See Charles, don't mess with me and my children. If I see you around them, or you trying to scare them because of me...? be ready to face my wrath and you better know...how I react when it comes to my loved ones.."

With this, she took steps back as her chin lifted even more. Her eyes were shining with the murderous glint which she carried towards Charles from the very start.

Removing his coat from her shoulders, she folded it into her hands before throwing it in his direction, when he caught it on the time.

"Keep your stuff to you. I will consider this for the first and last time...remember my words, Charles Johnsons.."

As those words slipped out of her mouth, Sierra turned around to walk back into her building without even looking back once.

On seeing her back, Charles could feel his heart shattering once again. 'What did you expect out of her, Charles? That she will be happy after seeing the past?'

He didn't. After all, things never ended on a good note on their side. For so long already… yet he regretted things too much.

If only they didn't end in such a way and he could have mend things before they were too? much disturbed otherwise...his heart squeezed even more.

But his heart hopped for the same reaction, which, unfortunately, didn't happen.

Recalling her words into his brain, his hand was converted into a fist when he instantly threw a punch in his car's metallic body.

"FUCK THIS OFF!!"? His face was covered with fury, anger, and the turmoil of emotions that he couldn't explain himself.? This wasn't what he was looking forward to feeling himself.

He wanted peace, and some alone time with her but it seems, everything happened opposite to his imagination.

The frown and the redness covered his entire face, when Charles stood against his car, bringing his hand near his head.

His mind was revolving around dozens of emotions that were hard to define at this point. 'God...what is actually happening in my life…'
