Chapter 363 - Eliminating(2)

For a moment, the world stopped for Javier when he heard those gunshots. As if, the time has stopped and the only thing he wished to do was to stop those criminals following him. The hope that ignited in his heart that Jennifer might be able to aim and they will get rid of them was high, until he heard her words of not firing at the windshield.

"JENNIFER! Fire at wind-"

BANG!

BANG!

And immediately, his gaze traced to see the view from the rear mirror to find one car already losing its balance due to the puncture that happened in their tires. It was going left, or right and finally, crashed into one of the polls as the tires were already flat.

A faint smile curled his lips at her technique to actually stop the car entirely from following them, "Y-you were right Jennifer …"

At this point, he once again heard the gunshots from his gun when he found that another car faced the same fate. The tiers were all flat, impossible for them to follow them anymore.

At the same time, Jennifer, who was still in the mid-air, smiled at herself. The aim was at the spot she wanted and that too in the high-speed car.

"Finally…"

Without wasting the time, Jennifer came inside the car to close the window for both sides.

A sigh escaped her lips but the smirk never faded. "Take the main route now."

"No, we have to go to the endpoint to exchange the car once." Javier was firm on his and Jennifer didn't revolt as well.

She was self-absorbed in the joy that even after using the gun after so much time, she was successful in eliminating those two cars.

"I did it, Javier…" mumbling in between her breath, her teeth started to shine, "I...did it.."

"Yes. Your plan worked to aim at the car's tire and that too.. in the first try." He won't lie that more than being happy, he was surprised, confused, and doubtful regarding her actions.

How come she knew how to fire a gun when he never told her so? Moreover, her aim was perfect, despite the speed at which he drove. This was impossible for someone even likes him to do...then her?

It raised many knowing questions inside his chest which needed answers no matter what.

"How come...you can use a gun with such professional skill?" He asked her bluntly when Jennifer's smile started to fade with this.

Her hands curved into one before she held the gun closer to her body. "T-this.. started many years ago, Javier."

She knew that she had exposed herself in front of him. Lying won't help her either since she knows he can see through her soul. "A phase of my life… is still deep in the grave, and it will be better if it stays inside the crave."

"Is that so?" Javier's brows were raised from their original position when he found it suspicious. His intuition told him that it was related to her university days… but how and what!?

How come he was not aware of the same when he had followed her like any other crazy lover?

At the same time, Jennifer felt that he had a bundle of questions raised inside his brain. But, he was keeping himself at bay by not asking any of them with the intent to not hurt.

Taking a deep breath, she brought her hand near her face to keep it supported. Looking outside of the view, her eyes never blinked even once before she opened her mouth to say, "I had learned them for my safeguarding until… I was involved with the wrong people."

"I will explain everything to you when we will have some time and a coffee together. This past of mine will go really long…really.."

Moreover, right now, she has no idea how to deny it. Explaining? She can't even face her past for now, how was she supposed to blurt everything out in front of him?

In response to her, Javier kept his lips sealed. He had no other wish to learn other words that alarmed him as well, "It is alright. We have plenty of time."

"Hm…. so, are we going to see the point which you told Ellen to come?" Jennifer swiftly changed the topic.

Despite this being already noted by Javier, he himself wasn't interested to shed light on her past which she wasn't comfortable sharing.

"Yes. After what happened right now, I feel the urge to register our marriage as soon as possible has increased."

"So…where is this endpoint?" she was curious since this was the first time she is hearing a name like this from his mouth.

"Above all the hills and mountains. It's the endpoint where the road goes on the hills."

"We still have two hours in our appointment and we will reach there first. After exchanging the cars, we will go to the registrar's office." Jennifer nodded.

Now that she came across such a deadly encounter with those black cars, her intuition told her that this was somewhat related to her parents.

Yet to not let thoughts wander around in the way, she was hesitant to raise them for now. Keeping mum was the best option in her eyes.

While Javier drove with alertness, Jennifer was simply enjoying the mesmerizing view of the mountains and roads in between them. On the other hand, there was a river going along their route, until it was also stopped after some point.

Within the next one hour, they reached the last point where her gaze fell out of the windshield to see Ellen standing near his car. "He was fast…"

"Hmm, you are correct," he told her to which both of them got out of their respective cars.

Walking closer to Ellen, he looked at them with evident concern. "So.. you guys were followed?"

"Yeah. but thankfully, Jennifer knew how to aim correctly which helped us to avoid them for now...." he said in a soft tone when he hurriedly took the documents out of his car and kept them in the other car. "Thank you man, for this.."

"You don't have to mention this. But be careful. I will ask our people to go and check who are those who followed you today…" Javier agreed on this.

While he and Ellen were conversing with each other, Jennifer simply moved towards the bit edge of the mountains to see the amazing and mesmerizing view of the place.

It was all about nature, something which she always admired.

While noticing her lingering gaze at the mountains, did Javier say to Ellen, "You go ahead and leave. We have some work..and we will go back after doing so.."

Ellen was a bit alarmed but then, he knew Javier can manage things to themselves. He nodded and gave Javier a hug before he took Javier's other car and left from the endpoint.

While Jennifer was absorbed in viewing the view, she never realized her man came from behind who hugged her tightly. "So..is my wife enjoying herself here?"

"Hm..it is beautiful.." her eyes shined with the glint when Javier shook, "Not more beautiful than you..."
