Chapter 2201

To Ivy’s surprise, she was whisked away by Colton as soon as she stepped out of the who did not even give her a chance to mentally prepare before she was thrown into the whirlwind of filming.

“Got the revised script yesterday, didn’t you? Lines all memorized?” Colton asked, hurrying ahead but still checking in on Ivy’s preparation.

It was a casual inquiry, as in the hustle and bustle of the set with its myriad of actors, none could match Ivy’s lightning-fast memory and capacity to learn lines.

She seemed to have been born for the stage. The moment she laid eyes on the script was the moment the lines were etched in her memory.

Such talent was rare, something even the seasoned veterans of the industry could not boast of having.

Talent like Ivy’s was a gift as if fate spoon-fed her success, and there was no escaping her destined path in the limelight.

“Yeah, got it down, director, Ivy confirmed.

“Ryan got here ten minutes before you and is already in costume. Stagehand, get Ivy suited up, quick- we’re about to miss the golden hour!”

Ivy’s ears perked up at the mention of Ryan being early, especially since he had been injured the day before. Surely, if it had been serious, he would have called in sick.

With a flutter of unease, she followed the stagehand to get changed.

Colton firmly believed in capturing real scenes whenever possible, even if it meant. dragging his crew across the nation and filming on location for two years. And a sunrise was no different.

He held that no amount of CGI could match the authentic warmth that nature’s beauty bestowed upon their canvas.

Fortunately, both leads were prompt, and the sunrise greeted them perfectly as the set was completed.

This was the scene where their characters’ romance would blossom.

Colton’s approach to filming was non-linear, not following the traditional narrative arc but shooting scenes as circumstances dictated.

One moment, an actor might be immersed in the depths of tragedy, the next, flipping to comedy.

This was why acting in Colton’s films was such a formidable challenge-the emotional gymnastics required were not for the faint-hearted.

Yet, this also meant that those who starred in his movies were often lauded for their chops. To be cast in à Colton film was, in itself, a badge of acting prowess.

Dressed for the scene, Ivy snapped into character at the sound of “Action!”

And together, she and her co-star delved into the narrativ

“David, this is my favorite stretch of coast, a secret no one else knows. Now, I want to share it with you,” she said.

“Valor…” David’s gaze was laden with emotion as he looked at Valor.

Together, they wove the delicate threads of a budding romance.

“Would you really share your secret haven with me?” He asked.

Valor blushed, looked down, and took a few brisk steps away before turning back, hands clasped behind her.

“Of course, I would-can you hear it? I’m telling the ocean my answer, I do-

It was perhaps the most heartwarming segment of the script, where two young people, despite their different worlds, found understanding and swiftly fell in love,

For Ivy, playing this part was breezy; she merely had to picture the man before her as Balfour, and it was enough.

But she restrained her imagination, wary that delving too deep would stir negative emotions she would rather keep at bay.
