What the projection did where true energy erupted to create a natural phenomenon was something only someone in the Energy Burst Realm could do.

Gradually, the projection grew clearer and clearer. He had a tall and sturdy build, and was dressed in black armor with a sinister appearance. He looked completely like a demon.

“What exactly happened here?” asked the Energy Burst Realm expert, fury on his face.

“Ki-King, Lady Snake Concubine was ambushed and injured by him while she was trying to absorb his blood essence. Ultimately, she was killed by him,” said one of the Heaven’s Strength Realm demons in fear.

The projection howled. “Trash!” He waved his hand and a black energy whip appeared. He then slammed the whip on the three demons.

They did not dare to resist and allowed the whip to land on them. Instantly, the three of them turned into clumps of blood mist while three demonic cores flew out of the mist.

“Little bastard, you dare kill my concubine? I am Mo Liefeng. How audacious of you to dare kill my beloved,” said the armored demon coldly.

Ye Mo was greatly alarmed when he saw what Mo Liefeng was capable of. A single whip was all it took to turn three late-stage Heaven’s Strength Realm experts into a cloud of blood. That was terrifying.

This demon was at least in the mid-stage Energy Burst Realm.

“I won’t even be able to escape this time,” thought Ye Mo to himself. Now that the spirituality of the Sky Blood Spear had been released twice, never mind an Energy Burst Realm expert, it would already be a good battle result for him to prevail over a mid-stage Heaven’s Strength Realm expert.

“Hmph.” Mo Liefeng snorted coldly. Again, he sent his whip lashing out, this time towards Ye Mo at extremely high speed.

“Damn it. This Desolate Demon Valley is indeed not a place one should stay. Fine, I’ll put everything on the line,” Ye Mo roared and after reinforcing his five Mortal Gates with 3,000 streams of Bright Dragon Power, he stabbed forward with his spear.

Ye Mo was not holding back, yet the spear light was instantly shattered when the whip twirled around the Sky Blood Spear.

“You overestimate your capabilities,” sneered Mo Liefeng. With a wave of his hand, Sky Blood Spear was separated from Ye Mo’s hand. The spear flew away before falling and stabbing into the ground.

Mo Liefeng stared at Ye Mo coldly, as if he was looking at a dead person. Just as he was about to whip Ye Mo again, a humming sound rang out throughout the valley. Then, two figures unfurled their energy wings and flew towards him.

“Audacious demon! You dare kill a disciple of our Door of Desolation?” a pleasant-sounding female voice rang out from afar, causing Mo Liefeng to stop his attack.

And along with that voice, a man and a woman arrived.

Both of them had their energy wings unfurled and with a flap of their wings, a connection was established with the natural spiritual energy of the world. Evidently, these two were also Energy Burst Realm experts. When Ye Mo looked at them, he noticed that the two were dressed in the Door of Desolation’s uniform. Even in a uniform, the fine figure of the woman could not be hidden. She was extremely slim, and on her slender arm was a green bamboo flute. Her long green hair was slightly hovering in the air, and below the hair was a face that was beautiful enough to cause the downfall of nations. Her cheeks were akin to a lotus blooming on the surface of a pond, and she had a pair of witty eyes. As for her cherry lips, they gave one an urge to get intimate with her.

Looking at these two and the two corpses in the Door of Desolation’s uniforms on the ground, Ye Mo knew he was already saved.

“So it’s the disciples of the Door of Desolation. What are you doing in my Desolate Demon Valley?” Mo Liefeng spoke calmly. He was fearful of the Door of Desolation.

“Two of our disciples are dead. Why do you think we are here?” asked the young woman, fury in her voice as she lowered her gaze and looked at the two corpses. She was questioning Mo Liefeng.

“The reputation of the Door of Desolation is indeed not in vain,” Ye Mo thought to himself. He was rather alarmed to see this. The two were both in the Energy Burst Realm, yet they were about the same age as him. If they went to the Tianwu Kingdom, they would probably be classified as freaks. Energy Burst Realm warriors at about 16 or 17 years old of age. This single fact would be able to shock many people to death.

“The Door of Desolation had deployed two disciples here to investigate the Jade Crystal Beast yet you dared kill them? Audacious!” said the man furiously. His name was Cheng Kun.

“Since the disciples of your Door of Desolation have killed my beloved concubine and subordinates, I naturally had to kill them,” said Mo Liefeng calmly.

He was indirectly accusing the Door of Desolation of being the aggressor, pushing his hand.

“The emissary of our Zone of Demons once agreed with your Door of Desolation that we shall all mind our own business, with us agreeing to never leave the Desolate Demon Valley. The act of killing my concubine and subordinates is a violation of that agreement. Should I not kill them?” questioned Mo Liefeng.

“Oh? Is that so?” The young woman frowned. Doubt on her face, she asked Ye Mo, “What is your name? Why was Mo Liefeng attacking you?”

Mo Liefeng started hinting at Ye Mo with his eyes, seemingly trying to tell Ye Mo to either lie or die miserably.

Ye Mo completely ignored Mo Liefeng and spoke loudly, “Senior brother and senior sister, I am Ye Mo from the Luosha Kingdom, the holder of the Luosha Token this year. I came to participate in the Door of Desolation’s Battle of Yidao, but when passing through the Desolate Demon Valley, I saw the two senior brothers killed by the snake spirit and their blood essence devoured by her. The snake spirit set her eyes on me next, but I was able to kill her through a sneak attack. And next, he appeared. He first killed his subordinates in a fit of fury before trying to kill me. If it wasn’t for your timely arrival, I would have died as well,” said Ye Mo candidly.

Mo Liefeng’s face fell, his fists tightened.

“Don’t be in a rush to call us seniors. Without passing the Battle of Yidao, you are not an official Door of Desolation disciple. But your courage in telling the truth is worthy of respect,” said Cheng Kun.

“Mo Liefeng, what else do you have to say?” asked the young woman coldly.

“Those two were indeed killed by my beloved concubine. But she was already dead. What else do you want? You should retrieve their corpses. I have business with this kid,” said Mo Liefeng with a frown.

Cheng Kun said coldly, “Hmph. Although this kid is still not a disciple of Door of Desolation, he might be one in the future. Anyone with any sort of relationship with the Door of Desolation, you can’t touch.” As with the young woman, he did all he could to protect the reputation of Door of Desolation.

“This kid is only at late-stage True Energy Realm. Do you think he can join your Door of Desolation? For a warrior incapable of joining, is it worth making an enemy out of the Demon Race?” Mo Liefeng’s tone started growing firm when he heard Cheng Kun’s words.

The only reason he feared the two was because of the Door of Desolation. If they truly fought, he might not suffer defeat.

“Worth is not the question here. Indeed, with his strength, he won’t be able to join. But he is still affiliated with us. Touching him is the same as touching us. Do you want to give it a try?” said Cheng Kun proudly. With a wide smile on his face, he asked the young woman, “What do you think, Junior Sister Qingxue?”

“Ye Mo, carry the corpses. Let’s return to the Door of Desolation,” said Nangong Qingxue after nodding her head.

The pride of the Door of Desolation was on full display, and this sent Mo Liefeng into a rage.

“Ignorant brats! I shall kill all three of you today. With everyone dead, no one will know I am the killer anyway!”
