Chapter 109: the plan

['Steal it? Do you think that something like this wouldn't be guarded? You are crazy Al.'] Alex scoffed at his idea.

['Just listen to the idea that I have. If you guys think that it's impossible then I'll forget about it.'] Al cleared out.

['Alright then go ahead.'] Alex agreed.

['First, for the plan, you and Lex will be enough. With Lex's spatial ability and your Telekinesis we should be able to steal it as long as we know where it is going to be kept. Imagine this, you use your telekinesis to move the pills and switch with Lex as fast as you can, then Lex you use your ability to bring it to where we are. The only obstacle that we have is that we don't know where it's going to be stored. Think about it, they said that a person can only buy two of the pills but if we can steal it we can have all of it without wasting anything but time. '] Al divulged his plan.

['It does sound like something that we can do, but with a better and detailed plan.'] Alex bobbed his head as he thought about the plan.

['That can be sorted out, but only after you've agreed to steal the pills.'] Al assured him.

['But what if we can't find out where it's going to be stored?'] He asked.

['Let's do it like this. If we haven't found out where it's going to be stored before the invite is going to be auctioned then you can buy the invite. That way you have a backup plan.'] Al suggested.

['Alright, we'll attempt your idea. Do you guys object?'] he asked the rest of his alters.

['No, I'm okay with it.'] Xander said.

['I'll be happy to help.'] Lex chipped in.

"You said that there were 8 pills, why are we only seeing 6 here?" A bystander asked the chubby middle-aged man.

"That's because we had to use two of the pills for experiments. The first was used to confirm if a cultivator of the lowest realm could also consume the pill, and according to the results, there is no problem there. Any cultivator below the heaven cultivation realm that consumes any of these pills will see a significant change in their cultivations." The chubby man advertised the pills with experience.

"The second pill was taken by our head alchemist, he hopes to be able to recreate the pill. If he can make that happen then the average cultivators in the western continent will no longer remain average." The chubby man finished.

"And it will mean more money to your fat pockets!!" A muscular man within the crowd joked.

"Hahahahaha." The crowd burst into laughter.

"Pass the word around my friends. Tell them to come to the Seaden apothecary to take a look at the pill their selves if they do not believe your words. It will be left open in a show glass in the middle of the apothecary. Till we meet again my good friends." The chubby middle-aged man gave a bow and left to the insides of the Seaden apothecary.

"Why would they do that? Aren't they afraid that people would want to steal it?" Alex thought out loud.

"No, they are not." A young man that had been standing beside him said. This man looked refined and cultured, he looked a bit like Duna, and the red hair on his head gave it away.

"There are reasons why they have to do it like this. With the unrest that is going on within the capital due to political reasons, they cannot bear to send out invites to their target customers. If they invite people from the government, the bloodline families might start a conflict with them and if they invite the bloodline families alone they might gain the wrath of the government. Inviting the two of them would also be an insult to the ego and pride of both the bloodline families and government. So they rather use the power of rumors and gossips to gain the attention of their targeted customers.

That's why the auction for the invites is two days away from now, and that is also why they are going to leave the pills open for others to see and rate on their own. When the targeted customers hear of it they will send someone to confirm the credibility of this news. Also, the head alchemist here is a mid-stage sky realm cultivator, although cultivators above the disaster realm are not allowed to take action in the city, if you try to steal from his apothecary then he has the right to mess you up." The cultured young man finished speaking.

"Uh, thanks for the information I guess." Alex wasn't sure if this person was just that good of a Samaritan that he wasted his energy explain all that to him.

"From your uniform, I take it that you are from the severance academy?"

"Yeah."

"I have a little brother there, you might know of him, Duna Kawataro?"

"Uhh, no I haven't heard of anyone like that." Alex faked a confused expression.

"Really? You haven't heard about him or the Kawataro family?" The young man chuckled at Alex. 

He was intrigued by his nonchalant attitude. Only people that didn't know or fear the Kawataro family wouldn't flinch or change their attitude when they are in the presence of one of the family members. Because of this, the young man didn't take what Alex said as an offense.

"You are not from around here, are you?" The young man from the Kawataro family asked.

"Not anywhere close to this continent," Alex answered.

['Ditch this Duna look alike and head back to the mansion, we need to start making preparations on how to steal those pills.'] Al urged.

['Okay.'] Alex agreed.

"Sorry if my incompetence has offended you, but I need to be on my way back if not my captain will be very pissed at me." He places a fist in his palm and gave a small awkward bow then turned around and left.

Alex started walking back to the mansion, right when he was in front of the gates of the mansion he realized that he had forgotten to get what Camron asked for. "Sh*t, it totally slipped out my head after I saw that evening primrose pill." He looked back and wondered if he should head back and get it.

['Good, I didn't remind you because he didn't give you any money for it.'] Al rejoiced.

"Perverted miser," Alex uttered.

He jumped over the gate and made his way for the front door.

-Creak!

As soon as he opened the front door he was attacked by one of the late-stage nascent realm cultivators from the Bloom team.

-Thud!!

Alex blocked the fist on instinct when he noticed the blow heading for his face. He swerved to the left when he noticed a second punch being pitched and aiming for his face again. The blow made a small cut on the right side of Alex's cheeks. His assailant hurled a kicked at him.

Alex quickly backflipped and put some distance between him and his assailant. He couldn't take him on without activating his bloodline ability.

"Are you insane? Why the hell did you attack me?" Alex fumed at the beast tamer. This beast tamer's hairpin was shaped like a porcupine. He was shorter than Alex and had a little mustache.

"Hmph. I thought it was an intruder. No one left the mansion today and I didn't see the gates open so I assumed you were here to cause trouble." He snickered at Alex.

'This weakling has good instincts and fast reflex' Alex's assailant thought.

"You clearly knew that I was the one and you still attacked 3 freaking times." Alex glared at the guy.

['Forget about this rodent and head to a private space. I have thought of a plan.'] Al stated.

"Rodent," Alex whispered.

"What's going on here?" Tammy came out of the mansion with Camron by her side.josei

"Alex, what happened?" Camron voiced his concern.

"Nothing. Forget about it, you didn't give me the money to get the pills. And I forgot about it anyway." Alex chose to leave the issue as it is and headed to the back yard of the mansion. There was a little garden there and it was the closest private space he could think of.

['Why did you ask me to go to a private place?']

['Because I need to know the limits of your telekinesis and how far it can cover, same with Lex's spatial ability.']

"Okay, what is the plan?"

['Now that we know where the pill is going to be kept, we just need it to move. With you in a safe distance and with the help of the skin crawler, you can raise the pills from their positions and let them drop, then you have to quickly switch with Lex before they land. Lex the plan is only like this because I assume that you find it hard to teleport objects that are not in motion, am I right?'] Al disclosed his plan.

['Yes.'] Lex answered.

['That's why I need to know your limits.'] Al finished.
