Although the gathering turned out to be a little unpleasant at first, it became slightly harmonious by the end of the night.
Abbie and Joseph, who were initially going against each other, took a step back out of courtesy to Paige.
After dinner, they went to Climax Space for some entertainment. Joseph, Aiden, and Michael sat on the sofa as they had a chat and some drinks. Meanwhile, Paige and Abbie began to sing.
Abbie took over the mic and kept singing until her voice turned hoarse. Even so, she was still unwilling to stop and even pulled Paige along to sing with her.
While both of them were so immersed in singing, they paid no attention to the three men on the sofa. Then, Aiden approached Joseph and said, "Hey, Joseph, you really have no shame."
"Not as shameless as you, Mr. Cook!"
"Cut the crap or I’ll expose your true identity to Paige. If she finds out that you're Dawson's family notorious playboy, she'd definitely smack you in the head!"
"I bet you wouldn't dare to do it!" Joseph narrowed his eyes and looked at Aiden, "I'd break off our friendship if you dare expose me."
Michael sneered as he listened, "Stop using this to threaten us. How dare you have the audacity to bully Abbie and fake a disguise on yourself? You're ruining our image!"
"Stop acting like you're any better than me. You and Aiden are just two useless scumbags. Why don't you take a good look at yourself before judging me? One of you is a sinister playboy, and the other one is full of greed. How dare you flatter yourself publicly?"
"F*ck! You've gone too far!" Aiden and Michael cursed at him simultaneously.
Paige heard the heated commotion and turned around. Noticing that Aiden and Michael were staring angrily at Joseph, she immediately threw the microphone away and ran over, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing. Mr. Dawson said that he wants to sing a song with you, and we were just being supportive!"
"Do you want to sing with me? Let's go and choose a song." Paige pulled Joseph together with her.
Joseph's face was a little stiff. Then, he threw a sharp glare at Aiden as he stood up.
Aiden and Michael looked at each other and grinned, "We're so lucky to hear Joseph sing tonight. Let's make a bet, shall we?"
"Of course, I bet his singing is f*cking terrible. Monstrous voice, I'd say!" Michael took the initiative first.
"Hey, aren't you being unreasonable? Everyone knows that he's bad at singing. If it's that good, then why didn't we hear him sang before?" Aiden was displeased.
"Forget it. He's already famous for his bad singing, so what's the use of betting on this? Let's just watch him make a fool out of himself. It's a great pleasure to laugh at him. Drink up!"
Michael and Aiden raised their glass. They looked at each other and smiled, waiting to see Joseph embarrass himself publicly.
Meanwhile, Paige grasped Joseph's hand and said, "What do you like to sing? I'll help you with it."
"I'm not good at singing," Joseph answered honestly.
"It doesn't matter. Let's sing a familiar song. What song do you often listen to?"
"I know the song 'Right Here Waiting'," Joseph said. Paige didn't expect him to know such a classic song.
She was a little surprised because none of the people in Climax Space listen to English songs. Therefore, she chose the song according to Joseph's request.
Then, Paige pulled on Joseph's hand, "I'll sing the first verse, you'll do the second part, and we'll sing together in the end, okay?"
"Okay!" Joseph nodded with the microphone in his hand.
