He had always been gentle when he spoke to Paige. Therefore, she couldn't stand it when he suddenly changed his tone.

"Are you yelling at me? Tell me Jospeh, are you yelling at me?"

"When did I yell at you? You're being unreasonable!"

"What about it?" She retorted.

"Women are really..." He turned around and left.

Paige was stunned for a few seconds and said, "I'll ignore you from now on if you leave this room!"

He stopped, "What do you want me to do, Paige?"

"I want you to keep on loving me! I won't allow you to like other women! I want you to love me for the rest of our lives!" She hugged him by his waist.

"Alright, I'll always love you. I'll love you for the rest of our lives!" He promised.

"I don't trust you! I'm so anxious and nervous because I feel like I don't have any merits. I'm not smart, and I don't have any talents. I'm so afraid that you will abandon me someday. Jospeh, I have nothing now except for you, do you know that?"

"I know! Paige, don't overthink and make wild assumptions, alright? You are nice, kind, and well- behaved, so how can I not like you? Don't worry, I will always love you until the end of eternity!"

The chaos in Paige's heart gradually calmed down after hearing Jospeh's assuring words.

"I'm sorry! I don't want to be unreasonable either, but I'm really scared!"

"Don't be scared. I'II be reliable so you can trust me!" He kissed her forehead gently.

She gradually calmed down and was embarrassed at her unreasonable attitude.

He pinched her face and said, "Well, don't think too much. Let's go to the beach, okay?"

She nodded and they went out together holding hands.

The sea breeze blew gently on the beach.

It felt peaceful as she gazed at the blue sea and smelt the hint of saltiness in the sea breeze.

Paige's distress disappeared without a trace. She took off her shoes and left a series of footprints on the sand.

Jospeh, who had been following behind her, took off his shoes and followed her sandy footprints as well.

She walked forward for a distance and turned her head. However, she was furious when she saw that her footprints had been messed up by him.

"Jospeh, what are you doing? Why are you messing up my footprints?"

"You didn't say I couldn't step on them, did you?" He asked innocently.

"You did this on purpose!" She glared at him for a few seconds, then bent down to grab a handful of sand and threw it at him.

This took him by surprise. He gritted his teeth and said, "Paige, just you wait!"

"Why don't you come after me?" She laughed and ran away.

He immediately chased after her. The two of them chased each other on the beach. However, how could Paige's petite figure compare to Jospeh who was taller and had longer legs?

He caught up with her quickly. She screamed and pushed away his hands that were reaching out to grab her before she was running into the ocean, submerging her lower half in the waves.

Jospeh stopped chasing her when he saw that her pants were soaked, "Paige, come back! I won't chase you anymore!"

"Come chase me! I'm not afraid of you!"

Paige smiled provocatively as she stood in the water, "Jospeh, are you scared to come Over?"

"Why would I be scared?"

"Come over here if you have the guts to do so then!"

Jospeh knew what she was going to do when he saw how she was provoking him.

He gave in and walked towards Paige.

Paige bent down and began splashing water on him. Jospeh was completely wet as he wiped the water off his face before threatening fiercely, "If I don't teach you a lesson today, you won't know my true abilities!"

Paige turned around and ran away again when she saw Jospeh coming closer.

However, she couldn't outrun him, and he grabbed her with his long arms.

"Run? Why don't you try and run now?"

She couldn't get out of his grasp, so she splashed water on him by kicking the water.

His pants were wet, and he gritted his teeth and said, "Let's see how I'll punish you today!"

He lowered his head fiercely at his words, "Help! He's molesting me!" Paige screamed, but her cries were soon swallowed up by his mouth.

The two of them stood in the sea and kissed passionately as if there was no one beside them. They were intoxicated by each other at this moment.

Liam stared at the message on his cell phone and cursed angrily in his office at Central South Building,

"B*stard! Scumbag! Trash!"

He had finally reached an agreement by bargaining with his blackmailers. He would pay them 500 million three days later, and they would return the contract to him in return.

"Who else could it be? She knows so many people. Could it be that someone else is helping her?" Sophia would use this opportunity to blame Paige in any case.

"Think closely about Paige's behaviour today. She doesn't care about the office matters usually, so why else would she come to work today? I think this must have something to do with her!"

"Are you sure?" Liam thought for a moment and shook his head, "It can't be her. She came to work today because of you. She wouldn't have been in these drastic conditions if she had the abilities to blackmail me!"

He denied that it had anything to do with Paige firmly. Sophia knew that she could not change his mind and she sulked, "Are you really going to give the blackmailers the money? This is not a small amount..!"

He didn't want to give them the money, but they would spread the news if he did not follow their instructions.

"What else can I do? Those b*stards threatened to publicising the contract. How can I get away with it once they do so? It doesn't matter if I embarrass myself, the problem is Paige would be alert of me once the contract is made public. Therefore, it'll be difficult for me to plot against her!"

Sophia thought for a moment and said, "Dad, I think there's still a way to save it if you don't care about your own reputation."

"Do you have any good ideas?" He asked.

"I have a suggestion. You should start over the business as soon as possible. You can empty the assets here and move the assets over to your new company. With this, you can leave nothing but a shell company for Paige, and you wouldn't have to worry about being exposed as well."

"Start over? Empty the company and leave Paige with an empty shell?" Liam was a little hesitant. He had thought about this idea, but it would not leave him with a good reputation.

"The most important thing right now is the property. Everything else comes second!" Sophia persuaded.

Liam thought for a moment and agreed to her suggestion, "Well! I'm a man with guts, so let me have a try!"

On the other side, Paige was tired of playing and she laid motionless on the beach without caring about how she looked.

Jospeh sat next to her and looked at her dotingly. After a while, he picked up his phone and sent a message. "You can send it over!”
