Chapter 303

The photos were perfect. She was facing the sun and holding it in her palms with a yearning look on her face.

His photo composition was flawless as she could not find any faults with it.

Jospeh lifted his lips and smiled at how satisfied she was, "You know how good I am now, right?"

"I knew you were good. Otherwise, I wouldn't have promised to marry you yesterday!"

"Nonsense!" He brushed her nose affectionately.

They watched the sunrise for a while on the beach before getting on the car to return home.

Paige sat in the passenger seat and happily edited the photos that Jospeh had just taken for her on the way back home. She wanted to post them on social media to show them off to her friends.

Jospeh had been driving when he looked over and saw her editing the photos, and he shook his head with a smile.

Paige posted the photos after she had finished making the final edits and had confirmed that her beauty was fully shown.

She had chosen this caption, "I want to hold my sun tightly!"

Abbie was the first one to comment, "I'm your sun, right?"

Paige replied with an emoji and saw that Hardy also commented, "You're so beautiful!"

Paige replied with two words politely, "Thank you!"

Hardy messaged her after she replied to his comment, "Did you go for a short vacation?"

"Yeah!" Paige simply replied with one word.

She did not have a bad impression of Hardy, but she felt a little uncomfortable because of Paisley's intentions about Jospeh.

Hardy had sent her a message out of the blue, so it would be more than a simple greeting, right?

Hardy replied to her when she had been thinking to herself, "Paige, are you free now?"

"Why?"

"I have something to tell you."

"I'm free now." Paige didn't know what to expect.

Hardy was typing for a while and finally sent a huge paragraph. "I met you father and Hayden by accident last night at 12 o'clock after I had finished my own business."

"Is that so?" Paige's heart sank. Why was Liam meeting with Hayden? Was it because of her and Jospeh?

Hayden wasn't happy with her, so was he asking Liam to persuade them to break up?

Hardy must have known the purpose of their meetup and sent her this message, right?

She thought about it and replied reluctantly, "Maybe they were discussing about some company issues."

Hardy quickly replied, "That's right, they were talking about the company issues. However, it sounded a little strange as your father seems to be borrowing an enormous amount of money from Hayden. I might have heard it wrongly, but he's borrowing ten billion dollars! Paige, is your company facing any financial difficulties right now?"

"I don't know!" Paige was shocked when she heard this.

The Anderson Group's business had always been pretty stable. They were not earning a lot of profit, but they were stable enough to not resort to loans and borrowings.

The amount was not just one or two cents, it was ten billion!

What were Liam and Hayden planning?

Paige was puzzled as Hardy sent another message.

"One more thing happened last night. I heard from my assistant that your father asked someone to make a dinner appointment with the leaders of the Industrial and Commercial Administration. My assistant is very familiar with the personnel of the Administration, so he asked them about it, and they

said that your father seemed to be planning on registering for a new company. However, he gave up on the idea as the process was too slow and there were problems with the approval documents."

His words confused her even more as she knew that Hardy would never tell her these things for no reason.

She immediately asked, "Mr. Anthony, you're confusing me. Can you explain your thoughts behind this matter?"

"Alright, I'm just making assumptions though, so don't mind me if I'm wrong. At first, I thought that your father registered a new company for future expansion, but I learnt that he used Sophia's and Isabella's names to register the company later."

"Your father immediately made an appointment with Hayden once the approval for the new company's registration had been obstructed. I have a guess. Your father wanted to register a new company to transfer the legal assets, but he gave up as the approval could not be completed. Therefore, he met up with Hayden and signed a fake contract as a loan so he could use up the company's funds."

"What? Is this true?" Paige almost jumped up out of shock.

"I'm not sure, this is just my guess after all," Hardy could feel that Paige was getting anxious, "Paige, I might have overthought this. But you should be careful because your father's reputation isn't good, and you know he has a family outside of yours."

"I will, thank you, Mr. Anthony!" Paige held her mobile phone tightly. She was no longer simple-minded after going through so many horrendous experiences.

Hardy was not an ordinary person. He must have heard the news himself if he decided to inform her about this matter.

However, he did not have enough evidence, so all he could do was to warn her to be careful.

What could she do if Liam really intended to transfer the company's funds?

She didn't know what to do as there was no one she could rely on now. She would have relied on Jospeh in the past, but Liam was now trying to transfer the company to Jospeh's father.

How would Jospeh choose between her and his father even if he had the ability to help her?

Jospeh, who was driving next to her all this time, noticed the change in her mood. He turned to look at her before asking, "What's wrong? Why are you frowning suddenly?"

"It's nothing," She forced a smile.

"Really? You're hiding something from me, aren't you?" He looked at her doubtfully.

"It's really nothing," She controlled herself, "I've been with you the whole time, so what can I hide from you?"

He thought about it and found her answer reasonable as nothing had happened when they had been together this whole time. "Just tell me if anything happens, got it?"

"Got it!" Her palms were damp with sweat.

She was debating whether to tell Jospeh about Hardy's speculation.

She couldn't tell him. It was just his speculation, and it was not the truth. In fact, Hardy would leave a bad impression on Jospeh if she had told him what had happened.

Furthermore, what could Jospeh do if she told him about it? The most he could do was to go back and ask Hayden about the incident.

Hayden would never admit the incident no matter what. They would not want to be found out now they had signed a contract behind her back. It would be a bad situation for her as it would alert them once they knew that she found out about their secret plans.

Paige became more nervous and helpless the more she thought about this.

She finally felt truly isolated and powerless at this moment.

What should she do?

Paige was in despair when her mobile phone rang.

"Miss Anderson, I'm Lamont. Do you have time now? Please come to Bewart Street, at Lane 3 if you do."
