Lamont saw the look of surprise on Hayden's face and sneered. "Why did you think that Miss Anderson won? The Anderson Group's stock value couldn't have magically risen like that after the incident, and Joseph said that the money is her betrothal gift!"

"Ridiculous! That's nonsense! Where did he get 100 billion? That b*stard! He's making me furious! I'd like to see how he's going to pay back the debt in the future!" Hayden couldn't remain calm and roared angrily.

"Doesn't he have the shares of the Dawson family? Wouldn't he be able to repay the debt if he sells those?"

"He wouldn't dare!" After he said it, he realized that Joseph might actually do that.

He sulkily picked up his teacup and took a sip of tea.

Lamont put his hands together and said, "Choose the lesser of two evils, Hayden. You shouldn't hesitate anymore and settle this once and for all. Would you rather have Joseph hate you or see your enemy's daughter frolick in front of you every day? Your wife is watching from Heaven!"

Hayden didn't say anything. He didn't want his son to hate him, but he didn't want his enemy's daughter to marry his son either.

However, he couldn't delay this anymore. He had to solve it once and for all!

Bobby parked the car, and Joseph strode into the mansion. Both Hayden and Lucas were not around, and only his caretaker was at home. When she saw Joseph, she immediately walked up to him and

"Sir Joseph, you're back! Sir Hayden is not at home!"

"I'm not looking for him. I just have something to do. I'II leave right away!" He said as he strode into the study.

He knew that Hayden put the household registries in the safe in the study. After entering the room, he opened the safe and put the registry in his pocket. Then, he left the room and saw the caretaker waiting for him in the living room.

He smiled at her and said, "Don't tell Dad about my return."

"Why not?"

"He asked me to attend a meeting today, but I skipped it and said that I felt sick. If you told him that I came home, he would definitely scold me."

She believed him and said, "Okay, I won't tell Sir Hayden."

After he managed to get what he wanted, he went back to the car with a smile. Then, he told Bobby, "Go to the flower shop now!"

Paisley's men followed Joseph's car the whole time. They saw him go back to his old house and head to the flower shop. After he stayed in the flower shop for more than ten minutes, he left empty-handed. Then, her men went into the flower shop to buy a bunch of flowers and asked around. The staff said

that Joseph had booked 999 roses for them to send to his villa.

When they entered the dining room, there was a fragrant aroma of good food, and there was a bouquet of fresh flowers right in the middle of the table.

He put her down when they reached the dining room and said, "Thank you for your hard work, Mrs. Dawson!"

"This was not hard at all. I'm very willing to cook for you, Mr. Dawson!"

He smiled and kissed her. Then, he took out the household registry from his pocket and said, "See, I'm ready for it. You won't ditch me, will you?"

"Look at how anxious you are!" She smiled and said, "Go wash your hands. I'll get the cutlery so we can eat. Let's see if my cooking skills have improved."

"Whatever my wife prepares must be delicious. I'll get a bottle of good wine from the cellar first. Today is a day worthy of celebration. Let's have something good to drink."

They called again soon after, and she answered with a frown, "Hello?"

"This is Hayden Dawson, Miss Anderson. Let's make an appointment to meet up!"

When she heard that it was Hayden, she froze for a moment and immediately rejected him.

"Sorry, I don't have time!"

"You must come to see me. I have something very important to tell you! It's something to do with Joseph. As his father, don't you want to know why I’m so against your relationship?"

His voice was stern, and he continued, "I'll tell you the reason when we meet up! This concerns your relationship with Joseph. We'll meet at the place where we met before at nine in the morning tomorrow! If you insist on being with Joseph after seeing me, then I have nothing to say!"

After hanging up the phone, she frowned.

As she thought about it, Joseph brought the wine from the basement. He smiled and said, "I've kept this bottle of wine for many years, waiting to drink it on a day like this."

She was amused by him and went to the kitchen to fetch two wine glasses. He poured the wine and said, "Wait a minute, I have something for you!"

As soon as he finished his sentence, the doorbell rang. He went to open the door while Paige waited curiously in the dining room. He finally came back after going outside for a while.

Her eyes widened at the sight of the big bouquet of roses in his arms.

"Is that for me?"

"Yeah, I wanted to prepare 9999 roses, but unfortunately, it was too short a notice, so they didn't have so many flowers in the shop. I'll give you 9999 roses on our wedding day!"

"Joseph! I love you so much!" She reached out to take the flowers and smiled happily.

"I love you too! Mrs. Dawson, let's eat first. We have events lined up after dinner!" He smiled smugly. "You promised me on the phone just now. You can't go back on your word, okay?"

"What did I promise you?"

"To try for a baby?"

"Joseph, why are you so naughty?" She reached out to punch his chest, and the two of them burst into laughter.

Meanwhile, in the Dawson family's estate, Hayden wasn't in a good mood. He went to his study room after having a few mouthfuls of dinner.

He didn't know why he felt uneasy. He sat in the study room for a few minutes and went out to take a walk in the garden.

Then, Lucas hurriedly came in to report to him. "Mr. Dawson, Ms. Anthony is here to see you!”
