James‘ aura was so overwhelming that even Magnus staggered backward. Wiping the blood trace off his lips, his face darkened as he glared at James.
‘What happened all of a sudden? How did his aura increase so drastically in such a short amount of time?”
Magnus was stunned.
James‘ aura was too powerful. As he stood in mid–air, majestic Empyrean Spiritual Energy gathered around him and formed a powerful field.
“Since you have a death wish, I won’t hold back.”
After the initial shock, Magnus composed himself. He knew James had a much lower rank than him, and he must have performed some sort of secret art. To his understanding, secret arts that increase one’s strength would not last very long. As such, James‘ current condition was only temporary.
“Argh!”
As he roared, he soared to the sky while exuding a powerful aura. He unsheathed his sword, and powerful Sword Energy burst forth and struck at James‘ vital points.
“Hmph!”
James smirked.
Then, he raised his foot and stomped at nothingness. Immediately, power of heaven and earth gathered to form an overwhelming pressure, which crashed from the sky and shattered the Sword
Energy.
Magnus could feel an overwhelming pressure that was directed at him. Unable to withstand the pressure, he was crushed and collapsed heavily to the ground, vomiting a mouthful of blood.
“What?”
Everyone was dumbfounded when they saw this.
Who was this? Was he truly James? How did he become so powerful? How did he manage to defeat Magnus that easily?
Everyone was stunned by James‘ strength. Even Magnus could not conceal his shock.
“How is this possible?” He was in disbelief. As he stood up with great difficulty, he roared, ” You’ll pay for this!”
The deafening roar reverberated throughout the mountains, disintegrating them into nothingness.
This was the power of an Immortal Ascension, whose sound wave was capable of destroying mountains.
Even James was temporarily disabled by the deafening roar. Before he could react, Magnus soared to the sky once more and slashed with his sword.

At that moment, James unsheathed his sword and performed the sword technique Sophie
taught him. Merging countless sword techniques into one, he appeared behind Magnus in the blink of an eye.
Meanwhile, Magnus was frozen in mid–air. His eyes bulged, and his expression was one of disbelief and confusion.
James stood behind him, and the Primordial Dragon Blade he wielded was bloodstain.
Time froze, and this scene lasted for five whole seconds.
Five seconds later, blood trickled down Magnus’s neck. Then, his head was decapitated, and his body plummeted from the sky and collapsed to the ground, laying there motionless.
Silence filled the air as everyone stared at James.
The Outsiders could not believe their eyes, but the fact remained that James had annihilated Magnus.
Magnus, however, was at the Third Stair of Immortal Ascension, whereas James had only recently reached the Herculean rank.
